Looks very good, but nothing we haven’t really seen yet apart from that one room with the bed on the floor and the desk with a quill. Still waiting to see it combined and such.

This is more unlikely than Chima being back IMO. No way are they gonna pull the old overlord out again. Not unless we have a season 3 situation. I think the secret master is the Rempress, that seems pretty obvious.

Well here it is, I finally got the parts needed to finish the dragon, and as theres a bit of a vacuum till the 22nd I thought I'd show this guy off. Edit- for clarification this is the azure dragon in the new bounty set. Obviously its not perfect, ive had to make several changes due to my parts limitation, most notably the lack of front evo joint legs, the brand new (unreleased) 3 x 3 head piece and the colour (I dont have that much azure available sadly). Ive swapped out the cannons for the old stud shooters but it’s not much of a difference. It does feel like a very nice and substantial build, my only complaints would be how the back legs work out and and the launcher on the back, theres a pretty big gap between the dragons back and the seat. This is not because its built wrong, but an actual limitation for the set as there aren't many system bricks the account for the 'lip' on the middle of a technic pin. Finally, the wings are a bit small but due to it needing to fit in the bounty I understand. Unfortunately they do restrict the turret movement to just firing ahead when the wings are folded all the way up, the way it’s meant to fit inside the forward cargo hold of the ship. Apart from what I have previously outlined, the dragon is built brick for brick from the set, thanks to JBspielwarren posting a speed build of it. A bit of a pain to constantly pause and watch at the slowest speed YouTube allows but I got there in the end. One final thing to note, this thing is BIG, like chuck in another figure and a side build and you have a £20 set here, it definitely adds to the bounty. I could see it going up against the imperium hound. Overall, very happy with it, although that may just be me being biased. Hope you guys enjoyed my little build, its kind of cool to have something in hand before it releases. Kinda?

I’m pretty sure everyone in the LAN has got it, but are not allowed to review it or post pics of it out of the box (like Tiago) until the embargo date, which seems to be the 21st or 22nd.

They all shipped with the dragons rising wave, and they tried to do the whole “reveal it on the day before release and have reviews ready” thing with the gardens and it got leaked like weeks in advance from back of stores and catalogs. I think Lego was learning from past mistakes this time.

A couple, check out @DuckBricks mega review. Also he said that the ninjago embargo is on the 22nd, not sure if that has any truth/merit to it though. The lion looks good, if not a little small for the price. I like the fact that the scroll of memory can become a shoulder cannon. Creative!

Embargo date is here for the MK reviews. These look amazing, the guardian dragon s a beautiful build. Will definitely get it. It looks very wide at the front, thats my only complaint. Also theres a memory scroll piece in the palace set, which is really disappointing considering how much of a role it played in the show, the fact its not in any other sets is painful.

Yes, although from what we've seen so far I doubt it will be as bad as that. It cant be that bad right? Besides, we know the first episode will probably have some more mature terms, I mean they just chucked the bench Arins parents where sat on right next to him after the merge. I hope we dont get a generic "all the villains become good" ending. They said they had planned it all out.

That’s a bit of a bummer but we should compare this really to paw patrol (I say that knowing I’ve never seen a single episode of that show). Hopefully the leads find a creative way for this. I did hope for a more darker and grittier season so maybe in the next reboot?

Just watching it in slow mo now. Lot to unpack. Looks like the bounty with Arin onboard flys towards the merge, wonder if this is some alternative timeline stuff. Also there’s a bone king racer mech at 0:46, that’s funny. The visuals in this new show are incredible. The city, the nature, the vehicles. Bravo to the animation team, this is crazy. Also Raptons flyer looks amazing, I’m gonna have to build my own version of that. We were robbed with that transforming mech bike set, but I guess it had to be stable enough. Gonna need a complete revamp when I get my hands on it. Looks like Riyus parents show up as well. Lloyd gets a golden version of the EVO mechs from crystalized, I wonder if it’s the one from that core set. The old bounty appears in the same shot, along with Kai in his Imperium suit. But then we see him fighting Lloyd after. Sora can break imperium swords as well. We also see Kai in his core suit and Lloyd in his imperium suit in the monastery watching the merge happen. I definitely think this is something like “this is what I would change” scenario. Lloyd looks pretty ticked off. hopefully this song gets a Spotify release.

I…. Actually really like this. But I feel a lot won’t. If anything, this will be the most controversial change. The weekend whip is what ties Ninjago to many people, nostalgia wise. I hope this doesn’t get as much pushback as I’m thinking it will. Personally the OG weekend whip has never really resonated with me, only on a nostalgic term, the remix’s though, they’re amazing (ghost whip and pirate whips my beloved). Also can we talk about the shots in this!! Holy crap! Some really impressive animation work and I love how this looks so far. Extremely confused on what’s happening with the bounty merge scene now. Looks like new Lloyd is fighting old Kai? And there’s a Kai there in his new suit? Maybe there’s some time/dream stuff here.

New trailer is out….. seems familiar…. Jokes aside it’s good to have the first trailer in high quality, hopefully Ninjago music release the trailer music at some point (or it’s In the show) because I absolutely love it. Been watching the trailers non-stop because of that. Change can be scary and the new/first trailer music is the best IMO. Also I did notice something, the bench that crashed down next to Arin in the “it all started with the merge trailer” is the one his parents where sat on when the merge struck, it wasn’t just any random bench. That’s kinda heartbreaking.

Ive seen a LOT of negativity/controversy online for this new season/show/set wave. Its awful, I understand that not many people like change (me included) but I really feel like this is a step in the right direction. Yet under every YouTube vid, instagram post, heck even when lego posted the poster on their insta page today the comments where immediately filled with "what is this shit?" and "let it die, stop milking it" and "look at what this has become" and "childhood ruined" BS. Hopefully this doesn't affect legos decisions with the show in any way. People need to be more accepting of change, not everything can stay the same forever. I honestly don't think I've seen such a push back from people in a long-a$$ time, even crystallised part 2 wasn't this bad.

I meant that it can transform with out rebuilding and also have a mode where it has to be rebuilt. The power of Sora where she can take the mech apart and rebuild it at will in the show seems like a crystal clear method of taking the Lego set apart and rebuilding it into the hover mech that the 3 fly about on. I know it transforms into the motorcycle, we seen the bike version in the show.

So surprisingly, set designer Chi Wing Lee has decided to update their brickiest of sets they've designed, 2 of which are the DR sets. They have worked on the mech bike and the temple, and I have really enjoyed reading them. Temple looks like it went through only a few iterations, no big changes, although the story of the balcony being an unintentional play feature is pretty cool. Apparently for the mech bike, it went through several massive design changes which explains why it looks so different compared to set and show, there is probably a concept model that looks very close to the show somewhere. Hopefully we get to see it one day. There is no mention of a rebuilding feature from the design which I thought was weird, I was under the assumption that the set was originally going to have a 3rd mode that meant you would have to disassemble it and then you could rebuild it into the hover mech (like in the show) and was just cut from development last minute due to structural issues or something (the model had to be changed because of stability and thus they no longer had the correct parts to rebuild it into the hover mech, but the show was already in production so they couldn't change the show design)? Either way they are both fun reads and I advise you all go check it out and show them some love!

Almost done on my dragon MOC from the new bounty, just need to work out a fix for the EVO legs, I don’t have those parts handy unfortunately, and there will be a couple of part swaps due to the colours I have available. Dragon is actually decently sized, I could see it going up against the hunter hound from the smallest set. I’ve seen a lot of dispute over the bounty’s size, and yes, whislt it does cost 30$ more in America, when compared to the legacy bounty it looks horrid on paper, but it is nearly 10cm longer. I’ve measured the size and this thing is huge, over half a meter long. Very excited to have it in hand. This along with the hunter hound will be a day 1 buy.

ZMG- zanes memorial garden I believe. Also I’ve just noticed the team mechs actually have knees. At least the big one does. Pretty cool. Love how it seems to be the new standard with mechs.

Ive just watched the review of the bounty (It is certainly my favourite set of the wave) and has anyone noticed the sails? In the marketing and official images there is this sort of pattern over the sails, but the out of box version reviews by JB shows a plain red background? I really love the sail design with the patterns, im hoping that they are in the wide released version but considering retailers have the set already (and are reviewing it) im kinda worried. you may be able to actually stand in the bounty as well inside the hull. The room on the top in the black roof contains space to put Riyu and some storage, although no pictures show it. I will probably mod it to put the 2 beds up there, or a hover bike to really sell the possession 2015 legacy bounty idea....

I believe it will be more Monkie kid esq- we got 5 sets at the start of the year for season 4 and then we are getting 4 sets (plus a 5th journey to the west location set) for the special. To clarify - we will get multiple waves for each season, like how sky bound shared the day of the departed wave. Sidenote, Meis dragon guardian looks way better than any dragon from this wave. These dragons look amazing, but that one... that is top tier lego design right there. (on second thoughts I think Riyu beats it out) Apart from the eye piece I think I can build a colour swapped version of the dragon that appears in the bounty. Im gonna try and do that now. Bounty and the hound are day 1 buys, temple and team mechs are also ones id like to get, along with the kai spinner and zane car. Time to see how much that totals up to. So £150 on day one, then the rest will be £200 for a spinner, the temple, the team mechs and the zane car. Holy damn im gonna be putting in the extra work hours. I will wait for a see on the team mechs, £75 for that just doesnt sit right with me, even if we do get the crazy detailed figures.
