[MOC] Mclaren P1 (1:10)
Lukes_Brick_Studio replied to Pvdb's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
WOW, this looks amazing. Gear work, you captured the iconic lines very well. Really cool, that you´ve managed to include a 8 speed gearbox in an 1:10 scaled car. -
Very nice looking car, excellent work. I really like how clean the bodywork looks.

26. Technic Excavator Functions: Operate the shovel Operate the main boom Operate the second boom Tilting cabin adjustable track width The first four functions are controlled pneumatically, the last one is controlled per hand. Of course, the excavator is as detailed as possible, featuring a seat and two joysticks inside the cabin. Dimensions: W x L x H: 15 x 37 x 18 = 9990 cubic studs

Now the excavator has five functions, four of them are controlled by pneumatics. Operate the shovel Tilting Cabin Operate the main boom Operate the second boom adjustable track width Of course, the excavator is as detailed as possible, featuring a seat and two joysticks inside the cabin. Here are some more pictures. Here you can see the cabin. Here you can see, some pictures with the wider tracks. The pneumatic valves, are inside of the machinery room. The dimensions are 38 x 17 x 15 cubic studs. I hope you like it, comments and suggestions are always appreciated. Thanks, I am happy that you like it. Yes you are right, it´s important to respect the rules, but I am not completely sure about the pneumatic hoses, if the count like something brick built or not. If this should be problematic, than I will look up for a solution, maybe I will cut the hose, so it does not stick out anymore, but I will wait for that until a answer form Jim.

Hello, it´s time for another update. I have finished the main part of the bodywork and the arm, but i still need to fill some gaps and finish the pneumatic tubing. When the arm is folded in its smallest setting, the dimensions are 37x15x18=9990 studs. This is the cabin for my excavator, but it still needs a seat. Now I need to order some parts and add the pneumatic tubes. Comments, suggestions and questions are always appreciated.

Thanks a lot :). I plan to create a video, when I finished the excavator. The limited space forced me to built this mechanism, which is quite special, but the best I came up with. Actually it can handle more weight, than I thought, so it will be enough for the superstructure. I hope that I find some free time at the weekend for building, so I can show you some new pictures.

Wow, amazing, I really like how detailed this small model is. Really cool. -
The wider tracks improve the stability of the excavator. I saw it on the Liebherr R940, this excavator can be used for demolition or digging. I thought it would be a cool function, so I included it. Here is a picture of the Excavator: (https://www.liebherr.com/external/products/products-assets/6aefb657-9ec3-43e7-a1c2-2bdf35fb52a4/R940-Abbruch-StageV-DE-AI-2021-09.pdf)

Hello everyone, I´m happy to present you some first pictures of the excavator, which I am building for the current contest. The topic of the contest is really nice and the scale is quite challenging, but that means always a lot of fun :). I am going to built an generic excavator, the one I am building is inspired by some excavators from Liebherr, Volvo and some other brands. These are the features I want to include: pneumatic controlled arm adjustable track wide The dimensions will be just below 10.000 studs. This is the currents buliding state: The wide of the tracks, is adjustable. In it´s smallest setting the structure is 15 studs wide, in the largest setting the structure is 18 studs wide. The mechanism works very well, but a little bit slow. Now I am working on the pneumatic arm and on the superstructure. Comments, suggestions and questions are always appreciated.

I can´t add that much, because the most important steps are already mentioned by others. As already said, its always good to look at some Lego Technic sets, which released over the last years. I don´t know which stets you have in your Lego collection, but some sets like 8297, 8258, 8110, 9398, 42000, 42009, 42030, 42043, 42053, 42054, 42055, 42056, 42078, 42082, 42100,... are very good, to learn a lot about the Technic system, and what is possible with it. Another good idea is, to start with some MODs of official Lego stets, some sets like 42126 have a good potential. If you have some Powered UP or Power Functions parts you can try to built RC vehicles. Mostly is building a MOD of a Lego set a little bit easier than creating a complete own creation. If you search for some good inspiration and want to learn how to built cool MOCs, than it definitely worth it to go on Rebrickable. On this platform you will find a lot of good MOCs, some of them are for free. A good page, where you can find some impressive MOCs is the page from Madoca1977 (https://rebrickable.com/users/Madoca1977/mocs/). If you have the parts, than try to built his Tatra Truck, it really gives you a lot of cool building techniques. I hope this could help you.

Wow, impressive. Definitely a very challenging and ambitious project, but so far it looks very good. Cool to see all functions working properly in your YouTube video. Maybe you can try to use some rigid hoses as pneumatic tubes, like in Lego Technic 8868, this would improve the look of the concrete pump.

Hello everyone, it´s been a long time since I finished this MOC, but I didn´t release any instructions for this MOC because, I wanted to improve the headlights, which were not 100% perfect. But after a while of engineering and experimenting with Lego parts I didn´t found a good solution for them. (A solution were the construction do not rubber the front wheels). So if anyone has a good idea I would be cool to let me know. Some people asked me for instructions, so I created some, which you can find on Rebrickable, I decided to release them for free, so everybody can built this rather expensive MOC. Link to the instructions: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-100387/Lukes_Brick_Studio/porsche-911-gt2-rs/#details

WOW, your articulated bus looks very good. You captured the lines very well, and it looks super clean. Definitely one of the best bus MOCs I´ve ever seen. Well done.
