  1. The build for the battle pack looks quite good. I much prefer it when it's a substantial single build rather than two small things, and it looks like a decent parts pack - admittedly mostly LBG pieces - for the many who will be buying multiple copies. The microfighter does a great job of getting the appearance right at such a small scale and still able to fit a minifig under the canopy.
  2. Definitely the bunny and the seal are very cute, but as an Aussie the sulphur-crested cockatoo is the draw for me.
  3. That Tusken Brickheadz looks good, might even convince me to buy my first ever Brickheadz. I get the feeling that here, like with the helmets and constraction models, figures with masks/helmets work much better in the Lego style than anything with humanoid features.
  4. Finally bought a copy of the Snowtrooper Battle Pack. Price reduction and sales (almost) bought the cost down to the old 2020 retail amount. I miss those old prices ...
  5. Great to see there is finally a Lego drop bear! I'm glad it's down at ground level though, they're dangerous things when they get up high . This and the Classic Space man are easy buys for me. I didn't even notice it's the oldest style of face printing compared to all the modern expressive prints on the other figs; that's just how Classic Space look. I also like the Alien - definite Marvin the Martian vibes - and the stacked roller skates on the gun is a cool build technique.
  6. You're very welcome. The Tallneck was also something I wanted to build without having ever played the games. Scrapper instructions are now online: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-127313/MaximillianBricks/horizon-zero-dawn-scrapper/#details
  7. Personally I like the seasonal figures - it's an ADVENT calendar so at least they are following the theme - and the micro builds are always interesting for how they make a recognisable ship/vehicle with so few pieces. The only thing I find meh are the weapon racks (not an unpopular opinion at all) and how one of the figs is something they obviously have surplus of and are trying to get rid of.
  8. The difference is that Clone Wars regularly has new material released e.g. Season 7 or connected material like Bad Batch, plus its overall tie-ins with the Prequels. Rebels doesn't have anything new or connected coming out, plus there is a lot more new and varied material from all eras currently being released that are higher priorities in upcoming waves. The only chance to see new Rebels related sets will be via Ahsoka, and then only if they appear in the new show. Similarly I don't see any direct Rogue One re-releases, unless it coincides with a ship/vehicle/figure etc. that shows up in Andor.
  9. Great work on all the mods. I don't know what specs Lego are working from but their recent Landspeeders all have long noses. I modded my 2020 playset one with Ron McPhatty's design and it makes the proportions much better. Good job doing the same on this model.
  10. Fantastic MOC with so much detail! The centrepiece of the exploding AT-ST is superbly realised - reminds me of Starkiller bisecting AT-STs in The Force Unleashed. Also the way you depicted the Obi-Wan's running motion is inspired.
  11. Benny the Spaceman and His Unfeasibly Large Supercruiser Engines! Great build all round and fantastic detail in the engines. Always good to see a new ship in Classic Space colours, I especially like the yellow and black nods to the Galaxy Explorer.
  12. Very happy to hear the news about the upcoming Interceptor. Glad now that I held off buying last year's TIE fighter to do the popular Interceptor mod. Crossed my fingers at the time that TLG would eventually come out with one of their own, but didn't expect that to happen so soon. 2023 will be a good year for TIEs. Fang fighter sounds great, I'm always up for my spaceship models, and will be interesting to see what the Snubfighter actually is (similar size to a Delta-7 or Eta-2 I guess given the price point and piece count).
  13. Thank you everyone for your comments! My plan was to get these as close to minifig scale as possible, especially so that Aloy could ride the Charger. Even though the Tallneck itself is much smaller than scale, these models don't look enormous when placed next to it. I'd like to get the Scrapper a bit smaller, but can't find a way to do it without sacrificing detail. Instructions for the Scrapper are almost done, just fighting with Stud.io to get a decent page design. I'll try to get it uploaded this week. Sawtooth instructions are in progress, but will take a bit longer.

  15. Thank you! I've added instructions for the Charger & Grazer to my Rebrickable page: Charger: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-125811/MaximillianBricks/horizon-zero-dawn-charger/#details Grazer: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-125740/MaximillianBricks/horizon-zero-dawn-grazer/#details
  16. To go alongside the excellent Tallneck set, I created MOCs of four other machines from the Horizon games: a Sawtooth, a Scrapper, a Grazer and a Charger for Aloy to ride. Hope you enjoy! Charger Sawtooth Grazer Scrapper
  17. The Tallneck was really a set that ticked all the boxes: fantastic build, good display piece and playability and a reasonable price/value. Couple that with a Horizon player base that is generally older than the average Fortnite player and it's no surprise it's sold out everywhere. Price wise several hundred dollars equals a lot of birthday and Christmas money that needs to be saved up. Keep it under $80 and it will be filling stockings around the world (and throw in an Emperor Palpatine figure for good measure )
  18. I think the difference with the Cantina from a selling perspective is that it just has so many figs that it would be entirely possible to sell only the figs and make your money back on the purchase price - and still be left with 3000+ bricks to sell/use (or you could sell those 3000+ bricks, make your money back, and get all the figs for free). There isn't a UCS set where people would be willing to pay enough for the figs to make back the purchase price (well, maybe the original Cloud City but that's a unique situation, and yes it's neither UCS nor MBS). Although having said that there's a couple of sellers on Bricklink asking 400 euro for just the figs and accessories - doesn't mean they'll get it of course. Wait and see what the market will bear.
  19. Thanks everyone for your comments! @TeddytheSpoon These were kind of the microfighters of their day - something from the Star Wars universe at a lower price point than the bigger, more detailed ships (although sadly with figures not included). @jamie75 I should have mentioned how great your cabin design for the Forest Ranger is; it works so well and perfectly captures in Lego the roundness of that section. @Mandalorianknight I agree the MTV-7 is a bit tall. I tried to make the wheel struts shorter but that would have meant using much smaller tires. Thinning down the top section and putting it on a regular 2x2 turntable makes the vehicle a brick shorter; still not to scale, but not as tall as before. @obijon I had a look at the Imperial shuttle Pod but didn't get around to designing one. There's a few other mini-rigs I haven't attempted so hopefully one day.
  20. Inspired by other builders on Eurobricks, I've created my own set of Kenner Mini-rigs. These were non-canon toys from the 1980s that were designed to fit into the Star Wars universe but never appeared on screen (although a few have made their way into various media since then). INT-4 Interceptor A figure can fit inside through a hatch in the roof and the wings do fold out. The INT-4 was a repulsorlift scouting vehcile used by the Empire. The short range flyer is operated by a single pilot and can be carried inside the body of an AT-AT. CAP-2 Captivator This was my first attempt at 'upside down' building. Bossk (or any other fig) can fit fully inside the cockpit, I just have it open to avoid reflections in the photo. The CAP-2 is a model of walker used by the Empire and bounty hunters. Two mechanical arms extend from the front of the vehicle with a blaster cannon mounted between them and a large mechanism on the back hold prisoners for transport. MLC-3 Mobile Laser Cannon I managed to fit wheels underneath the build to allow for easy movement and the cannons have a limited range of motion. The MLC-3 light thank is a type of self-propelled artillery mounted on a motorized, tracked chassis, used by the Rebels on Hoth. Desert Sail Skiff A small, open-air, repulsorlift utility vehicle. The sail skiffs are smaller in size than the regular skiffs seen in ROTJ and were designed to be used as one-man personal fliers. Endor Forest Ranger This build is based on a design by @jamie75, I made a recolour of his cockpit design and changed the wing design. The wings are capable of rotating through a full 360 degrees and the landing gear folds up. Unfortunately I don't have an Endor trooper to use to show scale, so here's Jedi Luke. This is a repulsorlift vehicle used by the Rebels on Endor. With its unique gravity-controlled cockpit capable of supporting a single pilot, the vehicle was designed for manoeuvring through the forests of Endor. The vehicle had two gyroscopic wings and a large blaster cannon on each side MTV-7 Mobile Terrain Vehicle This model is largely a rebuild of an existing MOC by @jere7my with minor adjustments. I really like how he used the technic rubber axle connectors to allow for the wheels to pivot from the body. The MTV-7 is a single tracked, double wheeled ground car used by the Empire to scout planetary terrain, in particular on Hoth. Family photo And finally a bonus round... Imperial Sniper This wasn't produced as part of the Mini-Rig line, but rather from Kenner's line of Body-rigs - similar non-canon toys on a built on a smaller scale to the mini-rigs. The Imperial Sniper is a repulsorlift craft piloted by one person. It features a large open seat, two blaster cannons, and a grappling claw.
  21. The dioramas are a new thing so it's impossible to tell what is the 'norm', but i can't see one being based around a large moulded figure. In terms of making a Jabba's throne room at all at this moment it makes about as much sense as redoing the final duel from two years ago. brick.sheepa is the moccer you are looking for. All their brick built creatures are excellent.
  22. Not sure if I've understood what you're looking for, but it sounds like you just need to make a Wanted List with all the parts you need, then click Buy All and you can see if there's a seller has all (or most) of the parts on your list.
  23. Opinions vary but personally I've never had a problem with a brick built construction toy containing things that are, I dunno, built with bricks. Although I am biased as I liked all the micro fighter creatures and wish we saw more of them (e.g. Blurrg vs off world Jawa sandcrawler). I won't be buying it but if the Razor Crest does contain a brick built Blurrg it will be easy to download the instructions and build it separately (looking at you Twin Pod Cloud Car from Betrayal At Cloud City) - or do the same with one of the many mocs out there - something that wouldn't be possible with a moulded creature.
  24. Great models all round. I particularly like the micro fighters - I agree that both seem obvious choices for official sets, maybe if we got more than one micro fighter a year nowadays...
  25. I'm more interested in the news about the rumoured size for the TIE Bomber - apparently similar to the 2003 model. According to the Brickset article from last year about minifig scale vehicles, the 2003 Bomber was fairly close to scale - about 2-3 cm (1") too short. If the new model is around the same size (hopefully not smaller) that would make it scale well with other OT ships. Funnily enough, the same article says that the Solo TIE Fighter, generally considered to be oversized, is the closest LSW TIE Fighter to minifig scale (although still slightly on the big side) and Luke's X-Wing from last year, while being downsized from previous models, is the closest X-Wing to scale.
