Jefry, Quite honestly Lego seems to currently have lost interest in anything to do with trains. Many here will disagree but since one can no longer get the Powered Up hub or powered up train Motor it seems rather pointless. I do like your various railway building designs, a suggestion would be to sell the plans for a reasonable price on one of the sites that allows that kind of thing, so that those of us who like it can get ready to build. Keep up the good designs. Thanks for thinking about trains.

Control your trains without smart device - with Pybricks
cbqmp27 replied to Lok24's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Well....color me "confused" First I thank you all for your comments and/or suggestions. Second, I always disconnected the motor(s) before flashing the pybricks code and then the program to control it. Lok24 mentioned running the program from within pybricks, I am not sure I understand that comment since I thought the program once sent to the hub is controlled by the lego remote, and I did try to do as he said but the program did not see the hub. That brings us to today. I thought I'd try it again. Using version 3.0 of the train control, I flashed a different hub this time and connected it up and IT WORKS as expected. So I'll keep using it (as I was already with the train motor locos I have) but it's good to see that it also appears to now work with the technic large motor in the Crocodile locomotive. Why it would all of the sudden work is beyond my understanding. Thank you all again for your help. -
Control your trains without smart device - with Pybricks
cbqmp27 replied to Lok24's topic in LEGO Train Tech
The code by Lok24 and modified by others is truly amazing. However I'm having an issue that I would like to know if anyone else has had that problem. I am attempting to use this code and pybricks to run the Lego Crocodile locomotive. It uses the Lego Large Technic motor. Every time I've attempted to load the program into the hub (using a different hub each time), the program will not respond. I feel as if I am doing something wrong BUT I have been able to get the program to work on my other locomotives that run with Lego's train motors. If no one else has this problem, ok, I understand but if someone does have it, what you have done to fix the problem. Again, I wish to say I've been very happy with the operation except when trying to use it with my Crocodile locomotives. -
Fantastic models, especially all the different type of grain cars. Like many on here, Custom Decals are asked about all the time, do you have a source or did you make your own? I saw this railroad in action and you really bring it to life again. Thanks

I've emailed them several times, at no time have I received a reply. I'm posting here in hopes of finding someone who actually knows something.

Perhaps does anyone know if BrickModelRailroader is still in business? I placed an order on July 24, here it is over 2 weeks later and other than an acknowledgement from their order service, there has been no shipment. Their website still works, but it does appear that updates are few and far between. Has anyone else had any issues like that? Thanks for any help.

Either I'm doing something wrong (which is very possible) or the OP's page on rebrickable is no longer active, am I missing something. I also did a search for the locomotive, no BN GP40-2 appeared. Any help is appreciated.

Daedalus304, those pictures you posted gave me enough detail so that I could complete the truck assembly, I do appreciate the help. By chance, were you the designer of said model? Anyhow, many thanks for the tips, they were appreciated. Jedi Bert, your tips were helpful as well, the biggest stumbling block for me was where the 1x1 plate with clip light and the 1x1 neck bracket was used, the diagram in the instruction book was flawed in that regard. Both of you again, thanks.

Indeed this makes sense, and I appreciate the time and effort it took you to reply to my inquiry. Thank you very much. I'll update this post sometime tomorrow when I've had a chance to work on it. Again, thanks

Daedalus304, I currently am stuck at steps 225-229, too many black parts on black parts with no clear way to indicate where they go. Thanks for whatever help you can provide.

I recently “tried” to build the Burlington Northern SD-40-2 from Brick Model Railroader. I say tried because I now stuck and getting help from BMR has proven to be an exercise in frustration, in other words, NO help at all. They claim their instructions are “premium” but in reality they are worse than normal Lego instructions. I do realize this is a complex build. But the truck assembly which is a bit complex has no help nor details on where certain parts go. It’s just more black parts added onto already black parts and there is no indication where some of the parts are supposed to go. I’ve written to BMR and my notes have not been answered nor has their been any acknowledgement of said note. I was wondering if anyone else on here is able to contact BMR or the designer of this model to get some help. Thanks for listening and sorry to have bothered you.

Thank you to both Elphiel and Lok24 for your explanation. I realize now I have a lot more to do, I was hoping I could have used one of the already made apps (such as for the Passenger Train) to do what I wanted. So now, it’s off to “school” to learn another programming technique. Thanks again for your help.

Ok, I’m new here but not new to Lego. However, I am converting, slowly to Powered Up for use with my trains. Like many of you seem to do, I would like to have a train that has an engine at each end so that I can control them with ONE throttle. The problem I have currently is how do I reverse the rear locomotive’s direction from within the Powered Up app? I’ve searched, I really have and nothing comes up that seems to answer how you do it. Perhaps I’m doing the searching wrong. Ok, my set up is two locomotives, each with their own hub. I know how to get both hubs to respond to one throttle in my app BUT how do I reverse the rear locomotive, so that it pushes while the front locomotive pulls? I use an iPhone with the Powered Up app and it works great for one motor. Any help is appreciated and forgive me if this has been asked before.
