  1. Very nice back. This is, I don't know how to say it, probably the most unconventional brick built monster I've seen, but very good. Nice use of parts, especially ones that no one else would think of using. Would like to see a close up picture of the head though. It doesn't look quite detailed enough for the rest of the body, but maybe it's just me. Very nice though, in general. Good work.
  2. These MOCs are really well done. They are small and the price range is really good. Something of the like that TLG could actually produce. Although so many people have said that so I feel that I am being repitious.
  3. "Seriously, you guys are such babies! Well, I suppose, in comparison to me and my age. Can't you read a scroll without picking it up? Alisha and Leo, I am not the party leader, but I would say you two are much too disrespectful of those who have command over you. I suggest that before you do anything rash, you first consult either Benji or myself and we will command you accordingly. Daxus, you are young, but at least you are sensible, and I congratulate you on that." There comes a round of applause from the bushes. "It's the 'Hallenlujah chorus'," explains Monk Pretzel. Monk Pretzel begrudgingly heals Benji. He does not like fists. Benji had seemed like a nice fellow up until now. What had changed? "It is the evil influences of Leo and Alisha upon him," Monk Pretzel mused. "Take note, young man. Take note. Oh, and beware as well!"
  4. "Well, we kind of will have to...ultimately." "You know, I think now would be a good time to agree on a second-in-command. I think it would be a good idea for the spiritual head to recieve a bit more power so the level of power is a bit more balanced at the top of the pyramid, so to speak. Also, one good thing about the spiritual head is that he has never been unconcious at the same time as the quest leader, so that means that it is not likely to happen in the future either (in other words, a good omen). Therefore, we can always be sure that we will always have one person in command in a concious state of mind. Do you follow me? Also, it is always a good thing to grant aged members a position of authority because they have a lot more knowledge and experience than younger folk. "Oh, and Benji," he whispered to Benji alone, "if you promote me to second-in-command I will pray for your healing for free. See what a good idea this would be?" OOC: What will he think of next?
  5. Ooo! This must be Monk Pretzel. I am beginning to suspect it. He has grown wize and unsilent with age. Yes, yes!
  6. Monk Pretzel grunts and prays a half-hearted prayer for Alisha's healing. "Dear God, if you will it and your power is sufficient to heal these untamed ones, then you may as well do so for the female amongst us, because she is pretty weak. You know...women...or maybe you don't. Never mind all that. I am your humble servant as always. Oh, and by the way. Once she discovers your miracle-working power, it would be nice to have a convert. Of course, I know, I was told to not expect anything after the first several years, until my influence started truly wearing onto them, but an early one would be a tremendous source of encouragement, especially if it were one so black-hearted as that barbarian...but I digress..." The half-hearted prayer is just enough to cure the other half of Alisha's waning health so she is recovered to full health at the expense of another unit of Monk Pretzel's ether. OOC: Shh! Don't let the QM know.
  7. I don't know why it does this. Had a similar problem with MLCad a while back and another time with the LDraw library in general, but I finally got them working again. When I installed SR 3D Builder, there was a couple conflicts with the previously installed LDraw library, but I just left it as I don't use MLCad much anymore anyway.
  8. "Yay, I get 9 gold!" cheers Monk Pretzel, greedily snapping it up before fully reviving from his unconcious state. "I am so glad I joined this quest. I get to rest on the sidelines while the others do the work and I still reap the benefits." Thankfully, he is blissfully unaware that without Alisha he would still be an unconcious state. Now that he is concious he prays for healing and, miraculously (perhaps it is just because he doesn't have those annoying undead folk distracting him) it works and he is healed. At the cost of one ether, of course. "Good fight," he announces, as if he played a large part of it. But it's not too much fun being unconcious in a graveyard. One cannot be certain whether they may accidently roll into a grave and be left there...oh, perhaps I shouldn't give you any ideas..."
  9. I often had problems with this. LDView seems to not always recognize parts from the LSynth library for some reason. I think it also depends on the installation folder, for some reason. Thanks, C3POwen! Yeah, I tried it the first time, but I accidently changed, in the "floor" menu. the 1-yes to 0-yes. So I had both 0-yes and 0-no and then the floor was on 1, so I guess that's why it did what it did. Once again, thanks a lot C3POwen!
  10. OOC: So they can't roll a special unless one of us attacks them? Alright then.
  11. And here they are: I used, quite obviously. Different lightings for the different renderings, but which one would you say looks the best? The colours are not right, and I suppose once you have them it will be then I will still have to work on the lighting to make sure it looks right with the particular colour. The first one is a render with a transparent background, supposedly, but it doesn't really seem transparent and Photoshop did not recognize it as being transparent, either. Am I missing something here?
  12. OOC: I could be wrong, but since Benji and Daxus' weapons will not do any good against the Draugr. I would figure that they may as well prevent the free hits by striking at the minions.
  13. Well, I will probably scrap everything currently in my brickshelf account and rearrange it in a more organized manner and then I will probably post two pictures for each set, one with Mini-figs and one without, if that's okay.
  14. "The heart of man is so black here in heroic," mutters the Monk in his unconciousness. It made the others wonder if he was truly unconcious or just taking a nap. Besides the mental strain of praying for one's enemies does take quite a toll on one's mind and body. Not to mention the fact that he was a number of centuries old.
  15. Hopefully they will look a whole lot better once I render them with the LGEO library. It will also force me to clean up my brickshelf account. Although it may give legolijntje a real headache.
  16. Point taken. Now let's do battle. (By "let's" I mean all the rest of you, of course I wonder, perhaps Monk Pretzel is getting KO'ed on purpose. )
  17. I love the sound of that. "A god that became a mini-fig." It just sounds so classic!
  18. Minifigs were always legomen. If they were girls they were "girl legomen". Slopes were "slanted pieces". Small plates were "flats" Big plates were "platforms" Baseplates were "big platforms" Tiles were "slidy pieces" I'm sure i can think of more... Trans bricks were always "see through bricks." The <insert that tiresome argument> wall pieces were "castle pieces" and the corners were "corner castle pieces."
  19. If you are going to be waiting such a long time you must keep inflation in mind. Although, again, it is not likely to cost you...if you don't overdo it. Besides, it's always nice to have a few extra sets around that you can break into if you ever feel the need.
  20. Very good work. An absolute to you. Keep it up.
  21. I always forget LDView for some reason. I don't know why. I guess because it's not actually an editor, but more of a viewer and exporter.
  22. The screenshots look better than the exports. Unless you know how to do the exports well like some of our experts here. I should have used screenshots for my first renders.
  23. OOC: Me neither, although I'm sure Monk Pretzel would speak differently. I just supposed that since there were so many newbies on the quest he was trying to help us out. I did feel a bit bad for Benji though. Anyway, all good and well. Any updates yet? Being KO'ed on your first two battles on your first quest is not an experience worth living for.
  24. It's nice to spark controversy, isn't it? Yes, I suppose I shall have to give his religion a name and, overtime, even explain his odd name as well as where he is really from. Hey, maybe we could have a quest. "The Roots of the Pretzel." Although I doubt any heroes would want to sign up for a quest like that! Not I! Although, thanks for giving me the idea. I should start a demonstration against this injustice. I can see why Alisha would be exceptionally happy with this quote. She is such a cruel creature, you know?
