And I guess a blacked out face is better than a white one with a terrifying grin. (Dreyrugr)

I never thought of Sorrow as a particularly good-looker. I guess I was wrong.
-
Sorry, Zeph, I just don't think I'm ready to commit myself to playing another Mafia game at present. Things are stressful, and though I think I'll be able to get online enough, I don't think I'll really be able to focus enough. Good luck with this though. It does sound exciting!

Are you telling us that Sorrow had kids? More undead abominations running around.
-
"Funny, you speak as if you only worship Sylvania in word and not in mind, but I digress. Your appearance made me think of an ether-made abomination, it was when you spoke that I determined otherwise. I stated thus before, but you appear to have misunderstood. I suppose our difference in opinion stems mainly from the definition of the word 'evil'. I suppose there is no use arguing on the meaning of a word, since it appears as if our views on the general subject seem similar. I suppose in my mind 'evil' can never be right, and sometimes the only 'right' thing to do is to slay someone in order that good may be achieved. I must disagree with the plucking the fruit of a tree would not be evil in your definition of the word 'evil'. You say that plucking the fruit is not evil, since the fruit is merely the offspring of the tree. In that case, it shouldn't be wrong to slay offspring of any plant, beast, or man. How can you define one as evil and one as not?" "Pardon me, but I don't recall saying anything of this nature."
-
"I would accept, but I find a hard time putting my life into the hands of an orcish barmaid. Never know what she could pull. Nah, I'll stick to what I have with me." I sip a cup of chamomile.
-
"Ah, interesting. You must not have been a Black Knight for long. What made you choose Black Knight as your advanced class? You seem more knightly than roguish, so I'll further assume that you were a knight before becoming a Black Knight. "Also, tell me more of these beings you fought. Did you call them proggs? Odd thing, because I went on a party a while back that did a pretty thorough clean out of all these ether abominations in the area. Their king had a real attitude, but I slew him myself in the end. He did slay one of the heroes on our quest first though. "

I know, just don't tell Pretzel that.

I turn to the druid. "From the way you speak, I would assume you are a follower of Sylvania or, perhaps Sem, both of whose beliefs I have studied thoroughly, but then your views on evil seem rather opposed to what I have learned of theirs and you have the appearance of an abomination of ether more than that of a being of nature, which puzzles me. I must wonder, though, where did you adopt your religious beliefs and what makes you claim one thing to be evil over another? Is it made up in your head? Or are you indeed an abomination that only speaks the words of another. Death is often necessary. Even nature understands that. Without death there cannot be life. Without a fruit being plucked from a tree, and losing its source of life, it cannot be planted and its seed cannot produce another tree. Is it evil, therefore, to pluck the life out of that fruit?" Master Docken never claimed that Black Knights are evil. He claimed that they are selfish which is true. To dodge a blow meant for yourself and let it strike your companion is selfish, especially when you carry a shield and he does not or your companion is counting on you to ward off your opponents attacks. One thing is certain. Black Knights would never survive in an army. Fighting in an army requires discipline. It requires being there when others expect you to be, a skill which Black Knights seem to lack. I have to say that I would be hesitant to go on a quest with one as they are apt to disappoint you when you need them the most. So perhaps not essentially evil, but selfish definitely." "Do you consider it evil, that you killed the horde? Or would it have been better to let them continue their rampage. Fighting evil is not evil, because evil cannot overcome itself. Just as you cannot fight a demon with the power of darkness imbued into your weapon, so can you not fight evil with evil. You must fight darkness with light. So you must fight evil with righteousness and justice. Sometimes justice and righteousness require the slaying of those that spread evil, so that there evil cannot continue to contaminate and sap the light and life out of others. "Did I hear you right when you said you defeated a horde of proggs?"
-
"It sounds to me that Black Knights are a very defensive, perhaps rather selfish class." I glance at Alexandre. "Black Knight, eh? You don't seem to have completely gone over to the dark side yet."
-
I somehow missed that the dead writeboard had been posted. Just skimmed over it now. It seems even the dead were relatively sure that I was scum and that I was counter-claiming Barkonius' role. I really should've clarified more.
-
Wow, Sorrow and Pretzel really do think alike in many cases. Thankfully, Pretzel is not on the quest, it would be a bit hard to rebuke Endgame now, although I'm sure I could find something for Pretzel to say.

"My God! A demon in the hall?! Honestly this one seems more insane than pure evil." I bop "Dak" on the bean with my Cross of Light. "She is just here, now. Mizuki, Dak Shadeaux. Dak Shadeaux, Mizuki ... I don't believe I know your last name? But as they say, always better to have the professional assassins on your side." "You do have a point there. Make sure you clarify though, when you speak of Dak, lest Mister Shadeaux here assume you are speaking to him instead of...this." "I have experienced this first head while questing with Mademoiselle Mizuki. She stomped the life out of those who tried to attack us in an instance. What is more, she even shared the gold she earned between us. Friendly girl, really. I have always said, she's the least selfish rogue, I've ever met. I've never quested with a Black Knight before, so I wouldn't know their strengths and weaknesses, but I can't say I'm too keen on questing with them in the future. One cannot hope to fight the evil darkness that overshadows Eubric with yet more darkness."
-
Could we have an idea about how long each of the quests on the board are intended to be.
-
I take the Magic Viper Skin, but then hesitate, "Ah, Mizuki. You gave me 100 gold for it to take on loan and 150 later out of the kindness of your heart. This Magic Viper Skin is not nearly worth that amount. You should keep it. Besides, I can't use it at present anyway, so it'll do you more good than me. If I ever need it I'll let you know, but consider it yours." I hand the Magic Viper Skin back to Mizuki. "May it continue to serve you well." "He's one of those wolf people, Erik. He supports the Wolfgang so blatantly that there's no way he will be of any help to the party. I would only consider going on the quest if I had you two to back me up...which may not be a terrible idea. I rush to the quest board and sign up for Quest 70 in case I don't get chosen for Quest 69. "One must always watch out for these enemies within. They are a dangerous lot." "You kids know this fellow?" I toss my head in Drake's direction and grimace. "Well spoken, Ranger. Pardon me, I forgot your name...if you ever told me. Any criminal can claim that he does his actions for good. Anyone can find an excuse for evil if they think about it long enough and God knows that the Wolfgang do nothing else but evil, so they have plenty of time to justify their wicked acts. The fact is doing evil is evil no matter what excuse you use to justify it." "The only reason the same could possibly be said of Heroica these days is because it contains the likes of you and your other abominations who are just waiting for the chance to betray Eubric into the hands of villains. If Heroica would be rid of your kind it would thrive and lead Eubric into a new era of hope and peace like in the old days, but no, you and your undead and vampire friends remain in the hall contaminating it with your seeds of darkness and using the protection granted us to protect you from those who would bring you to punishment. "Thieves will always be thieves whether they start their stealing at the top of the ladder or at the bottom. The circumstances alone will not and cannot change a man. Once the Wolfgang reach that level they will just continue to rob Eubric for all its worth. Some claim they steal out of necessity. That's the greatest lie ever. No one needs to steal out of necessity. They steal because they deem it an easier form of income than working hard. The money is only used to satisfy their rapacious desires and every once in a while they pay off some people to support their cause so they can pretend they have the peoples of Eubric behind them." "Nothing would stop them. The only thing stopping them now is what little remains of the Town Watch and the houses and Heroica too on occasion. Throw them out and you will see the Wolfgang drain Eubric and the surrounding area of all life and wealth. Do not allow yourself to falter between two opinions, knight. You cannot just look at arguments and assume that because the argument is good, it means that it is the truth. Look at the deeds and actions. The Wolfgang are murderers and pillagers and commit crimes that the houses wouldn't even think of committing. The houses may be corrupt, but they still have some good in them. I see no good emanating from the Wolfgang. Should you ever encounter them, don't allow yourself to be deluded by their lies and arguments." I look up the description of Quest 71. "Wolfgang reputation? Is that a thing now? God help us all!"

Disturbing images of Nagure flashing to mind. A bone? Really? And you think that will make it fair? Wait, you're in the perfect situation. Now if you were planning on playing a male, you can easily switch and say that you're a female, get the catsuit, and none of us would know the difference. Return of Thormana. Thormana Strikes Back. If Karie gets the suit, she'll just newtify herself again and it will be useless.
-
Well, I thought there would be one or two of the important fights after them.
-
It's funny that no matter how fast Romulus thinks he can run in his werewolf body. Sarge is still twice as fast with his peg-leg. Torn between CallMePie's quest and another Endgame quest. I've already gone on a Endgame quest, though, and CMP hosted a really great one last time. Decisions...

"Oh, had you such a disorder yourself? My apologies, I was not referring to you. I was referring to that loudmouth who just fell off the stairs. Apparently, his name is Drake, but he calls himself 'Dak' at odd times." "So, new assassin, is it? You should meet with Mizuki, the ninja-girl. She knows how to pluck the life out of bird and beast alike. Vicious think really." "Oh... The new quest looks interesting, indeed. Fighting the Wolfgang is certainly worthy of any hero's time. I don't like that the Lycan fellow signed up for it, though. That could only spell trouble, if you know what I mean. I have to say that the reward is tempting too. The level of experience would be great and I hear there is a hero in the hall who is willing to buy grating stones at around 200 gold a piece. Still, the other quest asked for a knight and solving murder mysteries is intriguing indeed."
-
Scum or dumb. Scum or dumb?
-
I love the way how the way things turned out was so very dependent on the choices the heroes made. I was rather surprised that when I thought the quest was almost at its end, it was only like halfway through or less.
-
The abomination stands up for the houses. What does Pretzel have to do now. Ally himself with the Wolfgang!
-
"Oh...my condolences. Would you like to ensure they go to a better place?"
