  1. It just makes it all the more necessary. Thinking back on Quest #14, was it? When Docken couldn't even be affected by the nymphs. Clearly he has a thing for frogs though.
  2. Brickdoctor, you've got to roleplay this!
  3. "You are the one that got us into this mess. Don't go blaming me. Release the chain already, damn demon. I am not giving it up. Get in your way. You impertinent...you'd better not hold back my hand as I attempt to raise my shield. Remember, I'm protecting you as much as I am myself." Bah! I know I should have stayed at the hall. I wonder what it would be like to be linked to that robot. Would I impart his creator's mind? Strange. Wish my internet would move fast enough to actually be able to start buffering it.
  4. Thank God, I attached the Soul Link Chain just in time. "For us!!! Gollum."
  5. "I feel so lucky," I grunt. "What the devil is this anyway?" I turn on Hybros. "You put this in my cart, didn't you? Oh, God! This is how you'll drag us all down. My soul is on fire!"
  6. "Wait. Don't touch that. It's a gift from...well, I'm not really sure who. No...er...I bought it at the marketplace. Umm..." I flounder about mentally.
  7. To be fair, I didn't recommend any quest that I had played a part on. I know that Pretzel would just sweep any newcomer off his feet.
  8. Quest #70? Every quest that Arthur plays a part in has too much text.
  9. I would strongly recommend reading a quest hosted by Rumble Strike. He is one of my favourite QMs, has always managed to select great parties, and his quests are easy to read with enjoyable interactions between the PCs. I don't know how he brings it out in people. Anyway, other personal favourites are: Quest #23, Quest #34 (as Scuba mentioned), Quest #28, Quest #36 (just because it was hosted by Endgame when he was still half human ), Quest #44, #51, and #58, just to name a few. Of course, there is then the Dastan Trilogy (Quests 29-31) and the Baltarok Trilogy (Quests 88-90) too. Some QMs have a hard time putting a foot wrong in their quests. I have always found WaterbrickDown's quests very, very fun to read, though I've never been hosted by either him or Rumble. No offense to any other QMs intended, especially not CMP (really, I love your quests...don't kill me). One quest you really, really want to avoid though is Quest 48. Seriously, that's when we knew for certain that Endgame was some crazy demonic machine bent on destroying Heroica as we know it.
  10. It may take some time to pick up Guts' moves, but by the end of the quest we'll be dancing our way to the bank.
  11. Of course. Pretzel was always particularly gutsy. Once again, of course. I just have to wait for him to pick up the other end. My strategy is to drain his health down and then slip on the Duplovian Helmet. I am immune to everything! What? You need healing? Sorry, can't do. Oh, would the "effect" given by the dancing shoes also affect Pretzel then? I could totally do with weapon upgrades and extra turns.
  12. Maybe I'll try my luck with Artisan's gold-gaining feature. Does Erdathcath have more than the single reputation with the Guild of Invision? An Artisan-Alchemist team would be superb.
  13. It was the Copper Fox for a while, but then he could be either of those I guess. I have to say that I think your character already stands out, Actaeon, with his frequent puns.
  14. I gaze in some wonder at the gold chain I see in my cart. Who put this in here? I wonder, before seeing a note from the baron. Heh! Must have slipped it in while we were talking. I promptly equip it in place of the Ethereal Cloak.
  15. Of course. But now I'm dying to quest with Erdy again. Maybe Pretzel-Erdathcath really will be a thing. Wait, are witches a gold-gaining class now? Or are clerics still without a gold-gaining option in advanced classes?
  16. You will receive the normal free hit damage, I think. All the free hits added up, minus your defence.
  17. I dig through my cart. "Here, one of you can use these. I just got them back from a friend of mine, but I never really used it much." I pull out the Magic Viper Skin. Eva scoops it up, and then notices an Amethyst rolled up inside. However, I am busy handing my new Shovel and Pickaxe to Wally. I hand a Phoenix Incense to Em and another to Melvin. "Guard these with your life. They could pull us out of more than a tight spot."
  18. I think Pretzel's head has been used surprisingly infrequently in Heroica considering how it appeared in quite a number of sets. I actually really like the head, and Pretzel hardly does it justice...perhaps a more kindly monk.
  19. Oh for the days when Heroica Hall had such fights!
  20. "So, if I understand correctly, this is our only option, right?" I place my hand on the door. "Any objections?" Can Melvin actually help us out at all without any songs in his inventory, apart from attacking with his WP:1 Instrument?
  21. Actually, I think he would, you know if he were left to wander the spirit world communicating with necromancers.
  22. I said nothing. Even if not, I don't need to understand a battle strategy in order to mock someone else for not understanding it.
  23. Where is that head from anyway? It's great when party members mess with their QM.
  24. The more the merrier. If there is a bar, there is no reason there shouldn't be a fight.
  25. I very much like the other hair too. It actually looks great in that colour with that face. I should take note. I still like the light green arms.
