I attack Crippled Moon Elf Corpse A (and B) from the Front Row with the Dual Staff. If they are still alive, I repeat, Otherwise, I attack the Abomination with the same weapon (Double). Would putting the machine to sleep stop the production? I mean, why not, eh?

Heroica RPG - Expert Job Class Discussion

Yeah, basically after the free hits are dealt so either at the very, very end of the round or at the beginning of the next before any actions occur. -
"Just stop ogling at her. If the situation isn't uncomfortable enough!" I attack the Shade twice from the Front Row with the Heavy Flail. If the Shade has turned into a Husk already, I attempt to Seal Him Twice, or if Successful the First Time, Hit Him with the Heavy Flail from the Back Row (assuming he's not immune to Fragile and that there is indeed a Husk).

"Wally, that's enough from you!" I growl.

I would actually wipe Dirge of the Phoenix out completely for being overpowered...but maybe that's just me. Something that I think would be more inline with the other minstrel songs would be if it's like the Dirge of the Death Walk where the hero is revived for that turn, can have an action, take a free hit, and then loses his consciousness again for the next round. Wow, it started out as a joke, but I think I actually really like that idea. Monk Pretzel for Minstrel!!! -

I should think so. Why wouldn't it? Edit: How I did not see Flipz post before posting is beyond me. -
I follow JimB's stated actions as do the Others. Sorry fellows for not getting online before now. Things have been busy.

Actually, I think the rule is that hastened heroes do not eat up more free hits than a non-hastened hero. I think some leeway was given to this by Sandy though, although I can't quite recall it. I think it was that as long as the QM is consistent.
-
I try to remind QMs, but with some of them it's not clear if they rolled for it or not. I think I got a Special Guard recently enough, possibly even in this quest.

Does alcohol help or hinder your creative process?

Same here, on both counts. -
Heroica RPG - Expert Job Class Discussion

My main problem is their shield skill. While it's great if the enemy doesn't have any immunities, if the enemy does have immunities then it could turn out to be just a nasty ether drain which the hero may not even want. Especially considering that most bosses are immune to many of the scrolls and one may not want to waste an enormous amount of ether dumping loads of effects on a weaker enemy. Of course, one could say that it would make the scholar be more choosy as to what scrolls as he keeps on his or her person, but where is the fun in playing a class that revolves around scrolls and then only keeping the barest minimum to ensure one doesn't waste one's ether? ...Just my two cents. -
Wally and Soryx repeat their actions unless told to do otherwise.

"I will not retreat!" I bellow. "Not now while we're winning. I am on the verge--" Unfortunately, Hybros once again drags me along, first to Junction I, then D. "Damn the devil!" He's lying, CMP! His character favours demons. Don't listen to him.

I think I've heard you say this before now...a few times. Maybe it's not as big a coincidence as you thought.
-
I attack the Abomination from the Back Row with the Dual Staff before Attacking the Crippled Shade A from the Back Row with the Heavy Flail. Wally attacks Gnome A and Soryx attacks Gnome C. Both from the Front Row.
-
Can the crippling effects of the imitation creatures be remedied?
-
Ah, somehow missed that. Apologies!

I could have sworn the AIUPIIUP was not "Immune to Instant Kill" before. I normally wouldn't stand by needlessly easy battles, but I think the way Zepher brought the battle about makes me perfectly okay with this one. I think the ridiculously easy battle also will make the heroes think twice about attacking the snake...maybe that's just me.

Was honestly hoping for more goals from both teams in that game, but I guess one can't complain about three goals in a game. Well done to Germany. Another great demolition. Poor Iberians are suffering the biggest losses thus far.

Exactly! And #69 was just so awesome!!!

Soryx silently attacks Moon Elf A from the Front Row as is his style with Vanquisher. Wally looks on, but his neat goggles prevent anyone from really seeing what his eyes are communicating. He takes a swing forward at Gnome A. I roll my eyes like this: "I do not understand what is so difficult for you to comprehend. This is a mere machine. It has no life. We are not bringing death to it, because it never had life to begin with. Can you not understand this? Bah!" I grunt, not exactly looking forward to speaking with the stubborn small one anymore. "Some people just refuse to be convinced of the truth," I mutter under my breath.
-
"Give it a chance to speak!" I am practically livid now. "Give it a chance to speak, you say? In case you didn't realize, this is a machine standing before us. The only reason it can speak at all, is because a foul spirit possesses it, much like these hoards of undead. They swarm to do the bidding of he who summons them. Mindless beings of shadow, formed in the darkness to serve the darkness. How can you even call it a race? It is no race. Can I call my staff, here, a race? Absurd! What about my cart? Just because I can set it to move and roll about, doesn't make it a race." I fail to see your point. You words indicate that you think I was banished from this world. Not so. Not at all. I..." Memories...painful memories. I grow silent, at length I speak again, though my speech is slower and more laboured. "I am making a difference in this world and nothing you can do or say will stand in the way of my fulfilling my destiny. I would advise that you do not try to stop me, for I have been summoned to do the work of the one who sent me. Even if the world refuses to acknowledge my help and the light I bring them, one day they will look back and be grateful that I spoke to them when I did; that I refused to give up though the odds appeared against me; and that I clung tenaciously to the truth though all else believed it to be a lie. Then...then they will know. Get behind me now, I shut up the mouth of this foul abomination!" So saying, I pull my Scroll of Sealing out of a hidden fold in my cloak.

It sounds like the Marketplace Mystery quest all over again. Seriously, that was an awesome quest! Maybe it was just great being in the same party as Heckz. Great to see so many newcomers to Heroica!

"Are you serious? This the way you fight your battles? You fool! For either you are that, or you are not seeking to aid the gnomes at all. Do not give the enemy, especially as corrupt an enemy as this, a chance to speak, for they will seek to corrupt your heart. Not that yours can get much blacker than it already is. Strike hard and strike fast. If the enemy is worth saving, God will protect his own. This machine is spawning demons that are plaguing Zylstra. If it continues at this rate, these demons could take over Eubric, then Uland and beyond. What good can come from keeping them alive? I dare you to find one good thing. But goodness may be too far above you, I suppose." "Banish demons," I laugh. "Of course we are not here to banish demons. We are here to slay them for eternity. How do you intend to save Zylstra without destroying these demons, pray tell? Do you wish to reason with them?" I laugh again. "Who can reason with a demon without partaking of his evil?" I sneer. "Please! Take your time. The more time we give these demonic creations the better. Perhaps we can bargain with them so they just destroy the souls and not the bodies of the citizens of Zylstra," I reply sarcastly. "Let me show you how to win this battle, demon!" I lurch forward and strike down at Shadowed Moon Elf Corpse D with my Dual Staff (Doubly), before leaping Back and attempting to Seal the AIUPIIUP Abomination.

Oh, get Etzel back from his hibernation as well. Iwould totally love to see a reunion of Quest 15 occur, at least between those three. Maybe Pretzel could be there to back up Etzel...I mean Maurice.
