Definitely not reddish brown (which imo is barely "reddish" at all). It looks like "New Dark Red" to me.
-
Wow, I didn't even notice this! I have a feeling this set is going to look WAY better in person compared to the box image.
-
Was looking at the studio tour street view and noticed that QQS in the film set is actually half of what it is in the LEGO model. The other half is Eyelops Owl Emporium. Now I kind of wish they had done that, and confused why they gave QQS so much space. EDIT: In fact, they should've not included the Daily Prophet (since there's no Rita Skeeter figure anyway) and just had it be half QQS and half EOE. check lego_fans_news_ on IG

The small vignettes on the back of the box just showed up in an image. One of them shows Harry trying out a wand in Ollivander's. It looks so strange though, because he's already wearing the Gryffindor torso . That pretty much kills the idea that the leaked torso will be included in DA.
-
B&B wouldn't make sense with the leaked minifigure because the torso is from Philosopher's Stone. Even though it would be meant to go with DA, they wouldn't include a torso that doesn't match that particular set. However, I have a feeling you're onto something here. I was doubtful at first, but now I'm thinking HP-4 might be a DA entrance GWP with that minifigure.

I'm definitely going to place the CMF Series 2 figures for the trio inside WWW. At least until we get a D2C Hogsmeade (as that's where they would actually belong). I have a feeling it's just the box art that doesn't do it justice. We can judge it way better when we see official pictures and/or have it in front of us.
-
I agree that the box art isn't the best, but Neville actually looks fine on the CMF box. He's only messed up on the website image
-
I watched the DA scene from Philosopher's Stone in 4k and it's even more clearly pink there. It's not bright pink, obviously, but it's a LEGO set. The colors are expected to be exaggerated and bright.

I think the reveal will still be exciting. The Q&A should be fun, and I also can't wait for the designer video after the set releases. The NES designer video just came out a few days ago and it was super interesting.
-
Agreed, that part is disappointing, especially because in the book Arthur actually tries to fight him
-
Agreed! I felt like I was the only one that actually liked the pink

LEGO just posted on social media...no official reveal or teaser today. Guess it's being revealed next week.
-
Ah, I'm super jealous Sorry if this was mentioned already (this thread is moving at the speed of light), but is the wand box a new mold?
-
Anyone else not gonna be able to focus on work today?
-
The torso is almost definitely included separately in the same set...the description mentioned something about recreating different scenes, so this would support that. I can't see them including it in a GWP (that we know nothing about). But overall, the set looks amazing! Love the colors and the street included with it. I'm also a bit disappointed by the minifig selection, but at least I'll have an opportunity to fill out DA with some of the extra minifigures from my existing collection ?

Same thing happens for Mos Eisley Cantina though - it shows the old one with a thumbnail but it also shows an entry which doesn't have a thumbnail. That makes me think these two sets are already in the system but just aren't fully visible yet. So I used a browser tool to look at the request that gets made to LEGO's server when you type "Diagon Alley". There's a setting that says "includeRetiredProducts:true". I changed it to false and tried the request again, and it still returned the same result. This pretty much confirms that the result that shows up is the new set. NVM - after doing some more sniffing, it's not actually referring to a product. It's just a standard autofill helper that doesn't pertain to a product. Similar to when you type in "Harry" and "Harry Potter™" comes up.
-
It could be pulling up the Diagon Alley GWP or the 2011 one...but maybe you're right! Yep, found it finally, thanks!
-
Where are you seeing these pics?
-
Dunno if this was already mentioned, but the CMF is up (but not for pre-order yet) at https://www.lego.com/en-de/product/harry-potter-series-2-71028. Strangely enough, it's only up for that region and not in other regions (like the US).
-
I don't think you'd be qualified to work at LEGO customer service if you didn't know much about LEGO or the items currently available, lol.
-
Honestly I didn't expect a reveal or teaser today. They wouldn't reveal a CMF and a set in back to back days. If it's happening this week, it'll be tomorrow. Otherwise, my galleons are on next Monday ?
-
Saw this last week, I was literally crying of laughter. I can't believe they did the entire movie, not just the trailer
-
Yep, they also posted that minifigure list a couple days back and deleted it when everyone called the source out for being fake
-
Also, just a sidenote - despite a lot of leakers claiming so much and pretending like they've had the inside scoop, mini_legogo has quietly given us 2.5 minifigure leaks for the set without any BS. If they're reading this, thank you!

Could just be a random wizard? Or an employee of one of the shops?
