Fair enough, I hope you're right and it's a new set instead of the Brickheadz
-
The Brick Show is pretty legit, and they didn't post on IG. It was picked up from the article on their website.
-
I was thinking that, but on the box it shows Harry getting his wand from Ollivander and he's wearing the Gryffindor torso. If it was included in the set, they definitely would've used the PS torso for that picture.

I think holding off the Diagon Alley GWP in 2018 was annoying but not the worst thing because DA is separate from Hogwarts. In this case, I just can't see them holding off a GWP that would tie DIRECTLY into the main set. This would be like if they delayed the mini batmobile GWP to 2 months after the large batmobile came out. I think the PS minifig is coming in a set in a couple of months. Or it was a really well-done fake leak and we all fell for it (unlikely lol).

Scroll up, that was posted here an hour ago ?

5,544 pieces and 14 minifigs for $400 in a licensed theme is incredible value. If the set had 1k fewer pieces, then I'd be upset about the minifigure count. But let's compare the value of this to the upcoming Mos Eisley Cantina. I have a feeling this will blow it out of the water.
-
Yep, this is my plan too.
-
Welp, guess PS Harry won't be part of a GWP then.
-
Because it was hyped up for over 6 months so expectations were unreasonably high ?. I've made some criticism here, but I'm still so excited for it and definitely getting it day 1.
-
I might end up getting the same one ?. My sets are all currently in my parents' home (since I'm here during the covid times), but I'll be building DA in my apartment where I won't have a shelf for it. It'll probably just be sitting on my computer desk until I get it a proper home.
-
Nah you're not imagining it, I noticed this exact thing too. Hope it isn't the potato quality that's tricking us ?
-
Yeah, looking at it again I'm not sure that they're identical torsos. Hope you're right!
-
Man I really hope we get the PS Harry minifig at the same time or right after DA comes out. It's gonna be so weird posing Harry inside Ollivander's with his Gryffindor torso.
-
But if you're an army builder, you probably won't be buying several $400 sets anyway. You'd be buying the other cheaper sets or the CMFs (which have Gryffindor torsos too). And if this is your first HP set, I'm sure you'd appreciate having unique torsos for the different characters. It just adds to the immersion of the scene being represented.

I've created a web scraper that'll text me when the set comes up on there ?, PM me if you're interested!

I think it's inexcusable that Arthur was left out, especially since it includes Molly and Lucius. I think any more figures beyond that though would've been wishful thinking, given the theme/scene of the set. However, my biggest gripe with the minfigures is the fact that the trio are all wearing the same torso. We've come to expect each member of the trio to have a different print in this new wave (except for the Great Hall, which is understandable). In the DA scene they're trying to depict, the kids are visibly wearing different outfits underneath their robes. For example - Ron's wearing his R sweater. It would've been amazing to get those prints to make each figure unique, and it seems like a big missed opportunity to me.
-
Honestly, even though I would've wished for a better/new face print, it's not THAT bad IMO. His eyebrows are actually black in the film, which I was shocked to find out when I looked it up. I personally don't think the face on the old figure suits him much better either. That being said, I'm still holding out hope for an improved face print in a future set where one side has the Death Eater mask.

@Azani just posted on IG saying the retail price of DA will be $399.99 USD, not $350 as we had (optimistically) hoped. Oh well
-
(the LEGO braille thing they did post though is pretty awesome not gonna lie, can't be upset about that)
-
Still no social media posts from LEGO today huh... Never mind, they just posted. Not the reveal. See you guys next week!
-
The advent calendar is available at Kohl's online already ?
-
Your comment will definitely get removed because leaks aren't allowed here, but that is just a photoshopped version of the leaks we got today. You can easily tell based on the way the light hits it at the top of the box - the leak has a light reflection in the exact same spot.
-
Agreed, that's why I'm confused about it. They usually pay a lot of attention to detail, so it's weird to see them change something like this. The only reason I can think of for LEGO to change it intentionally is that he says his favorite color is lilac. The robes are definitely lilac.
-
On Lockhart's robes - in the book chapter, he's described as wearing "forget-me-not blue robes". Looks like LEGO ended up forgetting Regardless, you'd think just watching the movie would be a baseline requirement for designing the minifigures, right? In the movie, it's pretty clearly blue.
-
Is Lockhart's hair this piece in medium nougat? If so, I don't think it'll look as bad as I originally thought. It looks a bit too orange in some lighting, but in other images (like this Captain America) it looks like it would fit Lockhart well.
