LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 10 Discussion
Markypops replied to CM4Sci's topic in Special LEGO Themes
For anybody in the UK who is keen to get their hands on series 10, Tesco should have them in this week ready for updating the boy's toy plan next week. So if you are lucky you may even see them out this week. Happy hunting!- 1,076 replies

Tesco have some great deals for Lego, 9494 Anakin's Interceptor for £9, 9466 The Crazy Scientist & His Monster for £10, 70001 Crawley's Claw Ripper for £3.20ish (can't remember the exact price on this) and some of wave 1 of Chima Speedorz for £2.50. This makes sense as the boy's toy plan is due to get an update in just over a weeks time so look out for wave 2 then. Also they have 2 of the 3 Iron Man sets in on a promotional end (76008 and 76007). Unfortunately they do not seem to be part of the advertised 25% of selected Iron Man products. Please keep in mind that the availibilty of last years sets will be different in each store depending on what stock they have availible but any discountinued sets should now have 75% off.

Unfortunately no Galaxy Squad but there is a lot of things that I would say have too many facings on the shelf as if they are keeping space for future releases to be fitted in. It is not unheard of, for Tesco to update their toy plans every 4-6 weeks in order to keep up with film releases. I do wish we knew when the UK is getting Galaxy Squad. I think Hero Factory had at least one shelf dedicated to it with at least one 2013 product there, although sometimes it is hard to tell on the plans as it will just say Hero assortment A or B which allows for things to be updated without too much hassle to stores as barcodes can to tied into these descriptions.

Tesco are doing their range change on toys next week and so all new toys will be arriving in store this week. Lego is still a major player on the toy plans that I have seen. Ninjago however is loosing space to Chima with only two lines. City, Star Wars, Chima and Super Heroes all showing quite a few of the 2013 range.

Argo's has Jabba's palace for £96. Tesco are selling off series 7 of collectible mini figures for 99p, not really that surprising as next week they are redoing their toy plans to get ready for Christmas and for those of you want to know. Yes, series 8 should be available next week.

For anybody else looking for another place to purchase both Tesco and Sainburys have got the team GB minifigs in. Tesco price is £1.97 and not sure about Sainsburys.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 7 Discussion
Markypops replied to whung's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Series 7 has appeared on Tesco's back office system indicating that it won't be long till there in store, also what would seem to back this up is series 6 is showing a stock finish date. -
There is more sets being dropped tomorrow in my store. So may be worth another visit

Just a heads up, guys! Check out your local Tesco on Thursday as some older sets may be going 50% off. This will be the sets that are classified as NOT being part of the stores current range. So sets will depend on what each store has left over from Xmas. Hope you get something that you are after.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 7 Discussion

For a few minutes there, my hopes shot through the roof. I work for Tesco in the UK and although the space for series 6 is able to hold 4 boxes the computer system is set up to order for 2 boxes. It makes me wonder, if space has been left in order that series 6 and 7 can be sold side by side in order to prolong their shelf life so to speak. Will need to dig around on the system to see if series 7 has been set up yet. -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Markypops replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think we can safely asume that Lego is going for more detailed printing and colouring of minifigs, especially within the Star Wars line. Would like to see more leg and arm prints in the future. -
One of the major factors for me is the shear amount of Star Wars Lego that they now want to release each year. There is two waves with quite a few sets in each wave, which I will admit to buying but also find it a strain on the old wallet. And now with the introduction of LOTR and Super Heroes this will increase the strain. Don't get me wrong I am happy that the license is continuing but wish that the waves had slightly less sets in each wave.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
Markypops replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Dissapointed that they had bo images of series 8 at the NY toy fair. As I am sure that the designs have been finalised, maybe it is just a case of that they are just beginning the production runs for the build up to their release date. I am sure if the colour of the packaging has been decided then Lego know what the 16 minifigures will be. -

I wouldn't worry about these ending anytime soon, I think this has been an amazing success for Lego which even took them by surprise to begin with. Hopefully we will see more unique molds in series 8! -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors

The only thing that Lego will do with the carbinate is maybe give it a new print on the mold. Otherwise I see no reason to change the mold as it is an excellent piece. Also it ties in with the story of Leia coming to rescue Han which is what I take this set to be about. Hoping for an add on next year of a rancor pit. -
The big selling issue of this theme for me will be the minifigures. This will decide along with what else is on offer with these sets wether I will buy the sets or wether I will source what I need from the sets from the likes of Bricklink. Like everyone else who has an interest I am patiently awaiting better pictures.

Tesco starting to get 2012 Lego sets in this week in preparation for new toy plans next week. My store has starting putting them out early in order to fill spaces. For those of you wondering which store would be carying 9494 Anakin Skywalker's Jedi Interceptor, this looks like Tesco have this one. Price for it is £35.97. Also have in all Friends sets, new City, Super Heroes (couple of sets), Ninjago and Heroes.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Markypops replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Maybe Lego has changed their original plans due to the high volume of talks on line about the lack of a new Padme in recent years. -

If series 7 is in the next Lego magazine then that means that they will not be far off of being released. The reason for differenet release date in different countries will be so Lego can cope with demand, lets face facts this line has been an amazing success for Lego and demand is high, especially when first released. -
Personally, I am hoping for a new mold for the ring even if it will be slightly out of scale. I would prefer this to a printed 1x1 tile. However, I am sure whatever comes it will not stop me from buying some sets if not all.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Markypops replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
We might be lucky to get a detailed decsription from other toy fairs, but I think that I am right in thinking that photos are not allowed until the New York Toy Fair. At which point we will be overwelmed with the shear quantity of photos to feast our eyes on. -
BrickArms 2012: Sneak Peak!
Markypops replied to the enigma that is badger's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
New Brickarms a day after my birthday. Just a shame that I am beyond that age where people give you cash! Probably be socks again! -
I get the thing with the spoilers, but I thought that Lego may have released pictures of the minifigures to wet our appetite! I think that we will see something when the New York Toy Fair rolls around in just under a month.

I honestly thought we would have seen pictures of the April wave by now. Descriptions are all fine and well but they cannot convey the little details that Lego put into the minifigures, which will be one of the major attractions for me and may decide wether I buy these sets.
