  1. Just an update, the Tesco that I work in starting getting in 2011 Lego yesterday for the new toy plans happening next week. Didn't get a chance to look through what has arrived and the new plans aren't on the computer system yet. However this is what I managed to clance - Star Wars v-wing and Naboo droid transport and police minifig pack were amongst the boxes. Further investigation on the computer system revealed that series 3 collectable minifigs are also in (hopefully in proper boxes, as previous collections came in on clipstrips to hang from shelves) and it would seem we are getting Pharaohs Quest. I will let you know more as I get info.
  2. Tesco should be remerchandising their toy plans in just over a weeks time, this should see the start of 2011 toys being introduced. The toys should arrive in stores next week and the plans should be on the computer system as well. If I get the chance I will run the plans for my store and let you know what is coming. The reason most Tescos have Ninjago is because they were sent a Lego shipping unit in, as an off fixture display that in most stores has probably been emptied onto the fixture to plug spaces caused by the after xmas period. Keep your eyes peeled as some of the new lines may make their way onto shelves early to help fill spaces. I know for a fact my store received some more Harry Potter Lego which we have not had for some time. (Hagrids Hut, Quiditch Match and Dobbies Release incase your interested) Also next week could see further reductions on any sets which are discountinued to make way for new stock.
  3. I love the second design. Like the idea of having spare ammo packs for my troops, that being said would like the scope. Would it be possible for the scope to be detachable that way it could please both parties.
  4. Alive and Kicking

  5. Just a quick update on the LEGO situation in Tesco, it would seem as if the there may be a delay in the release of the heroes and toy story 3 sets, as at least in my store the codes given on the new plans are not working on the stores back office system. This usually means the stock is quite ready to go. But keep an eye out as they may turn up any time soon.
  6. Not really sure about the kingdom sets. However we won't see a major overhaul of the toy section until the end of the summer, when outdoor toys are discounted and the space that they use is turned over to boys, girls and infant toys for the run up to the christmas period. This usually sees an increase in the standard LEGO section along with Star Wars LEGO being next to other Star Wars toys, like wise with Toy Story. As with any major retailer Tesco has a buyer for toys who works with their suppliers to make decisions about what to stock, as I am 99% sure that Cade Bane's Landspeeder will be a Tesco exclusive this year. Don't quote me on it! But I will pass on any information as soon as it becomes available later in the year.
  7. Another heads up, Tesco will be re-doing the toy plans next week. The new lego items will be 3221 - City Truck 7598 - Toy Story Pizza Planet Truck 7789 - Lotso's Dump Truck As well as a new creator set and LEGO Hero Heroes and Rookies assortments
  8. I work for tesco, and know that the toy plans aree to be updated in around 3-4 weeks, and before you ask the store only receives the plan the week before. Now tesco has two places that the minifigs could be fitted in (1) boys toys and (2) pocket money toys. Now these will vary in each store depending on size of store and available space. But I detract from the main subject, if they are becoming available (in tesco), I will post any news as soon as I hear. By the way does any body know the uk 13 digit ean/barcode for the minifigs? Just makes life easier when searching the store database.
  9. Only one slight thing that I am disappointed about is that they didn't give Boba printed arms and legs, ala cloud city!
  10. I managed to pick up LEGO Star Wars Twilight in the Glasgow branch of John Lewis for £34.99. They still had a couple left, great little bargain.
  11. I have got to say, well done LEGO with the new Harry Potter sets. Will be buying at least one of every set to 'flesh' out my Star Wars universe. I think that the bar has been well and truely raised.
  12. These are great, like everyone else my wallet is going to be hurting buying these little beauties! What we have seen so far is fantastic and offers so many possibilities for the future. Only one thing, LEGO, start producing these in the thousands as these minifigs are going to sell like hot cakes.
  13. Tesco are due to update their toy plans next week. This will be a slight update to help cover the gaps created by the christmas sales. If I can get hold of the plans from work, I will update what new items they are getting in.
  14. I think the idea behind the line is that the racers race in different places around the world and in doing so need different vehicles to do so. For example snow/ice, water, sand etc., so hence the reason for hovercraft, snowmobiles, boats and cars etc.
  15. True there may be one adult for every ten kids who purchase LEGO but the average adult also has a greater purchasing power than most children and this is more than likely reflected in the quantity that they buy.
  16. Oh! my god! These are amazing, got to say I will be buying a few of these. LEGO has surpassed itself with these little beauties.
  17. I've got to say that if this is true, I am absolutely loving this idea. What a great way to pick up minifigs. Nice to know that LEGO can still pull out a few surprises.
  18. The new battle packs look OK! Don't get me wrong I will be buying multiples of each so that I can build up the troops on both side and get a hold of the new minifigs in each. Can't wait to see the rest of 2010!
  19. The landspeeder pic looks to me like an early prelim. I think this will change a bit before it is released, just look at the engines on the freeco speeder.
  20. Just to take us back to 2009 for a moment. Some news for UK fans, the mid scale Falcon will be available via Tesco,(It's exclusive to Tesco). It's on their direct website right now for £39.97. I know that they are about to change their instore set-up in the next month for the run up to Christmas. I would imagine that it will be available instore when this happens.
  21. Loving the new PoP minifigs, not so sure about the Toy Story, but then again I don't think that they are aimed at people of my age. The new head scarf piece for the PoP, I can see this easily being transfered across to the Indiana Jones line, maybe this will give us a small insight into what will be released for 2010.
  22. Just a heads up for anyone living in the UK, the Toys'r'us promo has started ahead of what we thought it would be. Was in my local one in Glasgow today and got my hands on a couple of chrome vaders. For those of you that want to know the promotion is spend £29.99 on Star Wars LEGO and get a free chrome vader. Happy hunting everyone.
  23. I sure in the original info, everywhere was getting space police except the UK and Ireland. Guess if that is still the case I may just have to source them from some internet retailer willing to ship to the UK.
  24. You might be right with the old Woolworths angle! However, correct me if I am wrong! But don't all the shop@home orders, ship from main land Europe anyway. Now this being the case, what is the difference between shipping to say France and the UK/Ireland. I would urge LEGO to consider selling the sets via shop@home, if even for only a limited period. I know this only sorts out the problem for the UK and Ireland. Would one of the LEGO Ambassodors, see if the could get some feedback on this , while at the same time relaying back the anguish that they are causing to the collecting community.
  25. Strange, very strange! At the very least, I think LEGO should offer SPIII to all areas via their shop @ home site. Seems a little bit weird that they are offering it to most of Europe and not the UK. If the worst comes to the worst I will source them by other means, but this means that I will restrict what I buy due to the extra cost involved.
