  1. Yes, it would seem a bit strange for LEGO not to release this update of their space line. Lets face it many fans having been calling out for this for years but with the Star Wars line covering this area very well for the fewlast years, space has been put on the back burners. As a AFOL and big fan of Star Wars I must say that is one line that I am looking forward to. So, I wait for baited breath to hear the outcome of this, but at the moment I am more inclined to believe that some miss-information has been passed along the line due to a lack of knowledge.
  2. As someone who works in Tesco, what generally happens is we get caught between the 2008 and 2009 ranges and it takes a little time to sort things out after Xmas. Hopefully this week and next you should start to see the new layouts for toys being carried out and the shelfs being filled. In the store I work in we will have two shelf units for standard LEGO, with Star Wars and Indians Jones LEGO being grouped beside their relevant Hasbro counterparts. I think I am right in thinking that this is not the major spring toy launch for this year as we re-address the space later on to expand outdoor toys, cutting back on other areas.
  3. I can easily see me buying multiple sets of these. Gotta have a few taun-tauns! Maybe even see at least one Hoth set in 2010, for LEGO to reuse the mold.
  4. I think this theme is starting to show some real potential! Personally I will be buying the sets in order to put a few more aliens in my Star Wars universe, but I am liking what I'm seeing so far. Looking forward to some more pics.
  5. Aayla Securra, all the way! Need a female twilek headpiece and knowing how Lego like to reuse pieces maybe then it could be used in some new Jabba playsets for the slave twilek (Can't remember her name right now!)
  6. Got to say, that I am kind of looking forward to tis theme. Although, I must admit that I am a bit of a Star Wars geek, the fact that these sets will have different types of aliens means that I can fill my moc's with a wide variety of new aliens which unfortunately the Star Wars sets are missing. To any one that has seen the prelim. pics- Are the aliens, standard minifig legs and torsos with different heads? And, are the heads shaped like the new Squidard from Spongebob in 2009?
  7. A mystery gift! Well, I'm in!
  8. A question to anybody who ordered the Premium Edition, how long did it take for your copy to arrive from the day that you ordered? I ordered my copy over two weeks ago and still no sign of the book. Getting a little concerned.
  9. I don't think these pictures show the final product as it will be released. Mace Windu is just a smiley face. I don't think so! Looks like pictures that have been taken in order to do a mock up of the catalogue in order to show stores what will be available next year. I don't imagine much will change in the sets but lets wait and see.
  10. I've had a look in to what Tesco will be getting (mine at least). Missions 1,3,4 & 5, as well as Dr Infernos base. The main focus of their new Lego range seems to be Agents, Clone Wars, Bionicle, some Coast Guard and other sets to make up the space. One interesting thing is they seem to have cut back on Megabloks quite a bit.
  11. The stock should be arriving in stores sometime this week beginning of next, but as I said the plans for the new toys will not be implemented by stores until next week. It will also depend on the size of the space available in store, on what will be available in that range as this is just grouped under a boys toys plan that covers everything from topps cards to action figures.
  12. Here's something interesting news for you! I work in a Tesco extra and got a look at the new toy plans to be implemented next week and it would seem that we are getting in Dr Infernos volcano base as an exclusive to Tesco. Will print a spare copy of the plan and let you know what else is coming in. Whoppee! It means I can save some money on this with my staff discount.
  13. What interests me is what looks like a new grey hairpiece on th minifig to the right of the minifig with the clear dome on his head. Anyone have any ideas on this one?
  14. At least with the pre-order of the Millenium Falcon, Lego gave a date by which to order by if you wan't it at the reduced price. I would ask this one thing of Lego at the moment, for one week only reduce the price of the Death Star back down to its original starting price. And I can almost certainly promise you that you can sit back and watch the orders come rolling in. Lets face it Lego making the price of something jump by 32.5% is quite steep. I for one would like to hear Lego's viewpoint on this matter and why no warning was given about this change in price.
  15. Hi, Guys! Just been on the Lego site and the price of the Death Star has jumped upto £274.99. Thats quite a leap. Having second thoughts about this now, I mean thats quite a severe hike in price. Anybody out there already ordered their set and have you been e-mailed about a new price or are you still getting it at the £199.99 mark.
  16. What I would love to see is a new Boba Fett minifig using the new clone antenna attachment on his helmet and that his helmet and jetpack are seperated into two pieces. Keeping the arms and legs printed as with the cloud city minifig. However got to say, I don't want another version of the Slave I. Maybe some sort of bounty hunter pack.
  17. Managed to pick up Peril in Peru, in the TRU is Helen St., Glasgow today and the 2 for 3 offer is still on. So happy hunting everyone. (sorry meant to say 3 for 2)
  18. As much as I am enjoying all the ranges that Lego is bringing out this year and the increased quantity of my beloved Star Wars, my wallet is already starting to weep at the cost of it all. Come on Lego slow it down a bit! Not that this will stop me buying them all.
  19. Just found this on the woolworths site in the UK Enjoy
  20. Just had to share with you guys, still can't believe it myself. Did a competition a couple of weeks ago, just received a parcel in the post with the first four Indy sets in it. Can't wait to put these sets together. :-P
  21. If I'm right you won't have to wait as long as April as the next issue of Insider is released at the beginning of March. 4th in US and 6th in UK. AND, don't forget we have the New York Toy Fair mid February. *y*
  22. With all the talk about new minifigs it must be said that we haven't been offered a lot of new characters lately, but it must be rememebered that LEGO must pay Lucasfilm for the rights to each character that they make. Now the big push for Star Wars this year is going to be with The Force Unleashed and Clone Wars series. What I would say is that LEGO have tried to offer the fans out there what they wanted in the way of new characters and alien species but has tied it in with the big push, holding back on OT sets and characters in order that it has the money to develop the Clone Wars sets. Which, I for one am very intrigued and excited about and cannot wait to see some clear pictures. Lets hope they are at the Toy Fairs coming up in the next couple of months. Also over Rebelscum.com in the forums Jeremy states that pictures will be forthcoming in the April issue of Star Wars Insider
  23. The Woolworths site in the UK kave the release date for the Indiana Jones game as the 7th June. Available for Playstation 2 + 3, XBOX 360, Nintendo Wii, PSP and Nintendo DS. Just follow the linkl; http://www.woolworths.co.uk/web/jsp/produc...sp?pid=50974968
  24. To be honest, I was quite excited when I first heard about this theme and a little bit dissapointed when I say the first picture. However I will holdback on my judgement as I have found in the past that these type of themes are great for spare parts collecting and normally you can pick up some nice new minifig torsos, at a little less cost than most of the licensed themes. The other thing to remember is LEGO is a toy and in such has a wide spectrum of age groups to keep happy and must appeal to younger age groups just as much as it does with certain lines to the AFOL.
  25. INDEP is more likely to mean independent, in meaning that it is being developed as an exclusive for a certain retail chain, like the TRU exclusives that are made each year. May just mean that they don't have a retailer to take the product yet or are unable to disclose that info.
