  1. Isn't it fairly easy to mount a pin-axle connector (need to look up the exact name) which yields the same result?
  2. Kitty & myself are present.
  3. I will try to get it up-and-running shortly. Just came back from a short holiday, so I haven't had the time. Not used to holidays in December. Hopefully (before) next weekend.
  4. That is a question for the Technic General topic, not for this topic (General Contest discussion).
  5. No need to clean up. I like the new title. That's sufficient
  6. Funny thing is that my next question would have been "Do you have certain firewall settings in place?", so I guess I was close No worries mate. Glad you found the issue. And nice to have you back (or glad we didn't lose you)
  7. As expected there weren't many contestants, but I am glad we did it. And kudos to the ones who joined the contest.
  8. When I open your topic, I do see all the images. Not sure if I understand what you mean. You don't see the images? Like so Edit: Or are you talking about the editor instead of the post?
  9. If Brickshelf doesn't serve the images, you won't see them on EB obviously. Not sure what you want me to do about an exernal image hosting service. It's definitely not EB related. I recommend switching to a more modern service like BrickSafe (which is free) or Flickr. I sure hope you are not leaving EB because of problems originating at Brickshelf.
  10. Well, technically I didn't run it That is the spirit we are looking for!!
  11. GREAT BALL CONTRAPTION CONTEST - RESULTS TOPIC Here are the results of the contest. WINNERS Ferris Wheel GBC by Berthil Serpentine by Akassin GBC Factory by Philtech CONTEST RESULTS1. Ferris Wheel GBC by Berthil - 298 Points (39 votes, entry 1)2. Serpentine by Akassin - 267 Points (39 votes, entry 3)3. GBC Factory by Philtech - 144 Points (39 votes, entry 5)4. Wave motion GBC by howitzer - 118 Points (39 votes, entry 6)5. GBC Train Vertical Ball lift Loader with EV3 Mindstorms Control by doug72 - 107 Points (39 votes, entry 4)6. Wheels by higgins91 - 80 Points (39 votes, entry 2) PS I noticed that there is some sort of bug in my software, because all the entries seem to have 39 votes, which isn't the case. Since I didn't run this contest, I am not sure whether someone managed to arrange some prizes?! I will assign the medals though. And it would be cool to make a GBC tag. I might give that one a try and assign it to all participants.
  12. That is a nice model! The pictures seen way too big though. Can you link to the max 1024 wide versions on Flickr? Thanks
  13. Hi. Please don't bump an old topic to ask for instructions.
  14. First of all, this isn't a classic space contest. Second, avoiding cars but allowing ground vehicles feels contradictionary. How would you qualify ground vehicles not being cars? More than 4 wheels? Blacktron 6941 Battrax looks like a "spacecar" to me.
  15. I was thinking some sort of spaceSHIP to avoid "spacecars" which would turn this into a car contest.
  16. It will be Technic. After all, it's a Technic contest. So it will be Technic versions of the two examples I posted. And we won't do Model Team, just Technic (with some System parts, as usual)
  17. Not a big fan of part count limit. I would go for bounding box if we really need to enforce something. I am interested to see when bigger models won the contest. Is this tangible or is it just a feeling? I have been going over the results of the contests and I don't see a common rule. Since this is the end of the year contest, we do aim (or allow) for bigger builds. I am interested to hear what other people think about imposing some sort of limit.
  18. I will be this. Edit: These types of space ships created in Technic.
  19. I am working on a contest description etc, but be prepared for the contest to start next weekend. I can confirm it will be the Space Police contest.
  20. Host a Technic contest. You will have a field day
  21. Usually when a set is on the "rumored list", it's bound to be released. I still think there were last minute issues with the design, which led to the delay. But, as usual....we will probably never know
