    Can't wait to get a hold of the instruction package! Put in my request for order a week ago on Mirko's site and have not heard back. Ordered my light package from Brickstuff after putting in my instruction request and it was shipped same day. Great folks there.

    They are used to wrap the engine modules to give them a texture. Look at the last picture in @shiny_car photo post above. You can see them on the one engine in the rear (right side of photo). Hope this helps. FWIW: I fooled around with a couple different placements of the different treads to see what I liked and varied from the original design. Feel free to experiment as @cavegod says and make it your own. :D

    After having built this months ago and finding this magnificent thread, I have finally started to modify my MF. I have it mounted on the @efferman stand sitting on a turntable ready to transform. Thanks to all the hard work that has gone before. It is really enjoyable (and overwhelming) to read through all the pages here and see to innovation and cooperation. Great work!
