  1. Just go onto the main page on the Dino website, it's the first thing you do in the game. It's a kind of stone structure, and when you pull some switches, it opens and all of the Dinosaurs come out. I'm not sure what exactly the rest of the story is, it does seem to make much sense to me.
  2. I think we have two possible origins for the Dino's so far. 1. They were released by the Alien emperor from Alien Conquest (I think that was from a Lego Club comic). 2. They were released by a mysterious artefacty-tomby thing in the forest (from the game on the Dino website). I don't especially like either of them, so I'm just going to go with my own backstory. Unless ther's a better one in the upcoming 'Nest' or 'Base' sections on the official site. I might go for something along the lines of the anomalies from Primeval. That give me much more options for locations/creatures I can use.
  3. No Dino news from the Toy Fair, so I guess it's either next year or nothing. The display of the current sets was pretty good, though.
  4. Good to see that you're getting the recognition you deserve.
  5. Ah, the classic Dino in corn field. Nice work.
  6. Agreed. Except maybe the machine guns.
  7. Now that this theme is out, I have to say that I really like it. Usually, I'm a historical themes guy, but that's starting to lose it's appeal to me. That leaves a gap that I think Dino could fill. I really like the sets (except the HQ ), and I may end up buying all of them. As much as I hope this theme has a second wave, I wouldn't mind if it doesn't, as it would let me pick up more of the sets in the clearance sale, and give me more time and money to expand it on my own. Like I said, I don't like the HQ, so I might have a go at building my own. A bigger, more stronghold-y type thing. Heck, I might even end up making a whole Terra Nova-style colony! OK, maybe that's a bit too ambitious. Anyway, I'll start my collection with the T-Rex Hunter, and see where it goes from there... Also, does anyone who owns the Ocean Interceptor, Tower Takedown or T-Rex Hunter think they could do a review of them, please? I seen people commenting on them, but they're the only sets we haven't got reviews on. I would greatly appreciate it.
  8. I spent surprisingly little this year, I kind of had a semi-dark age during the last quarter of the year. But there's already a lot that I want this year, so I my money won't be safe for long.
  9. Ah, yes. My bad. I was thinking that they all had roots in mythology, but I forgot about Frankenstein. Maybe some day...
  10. Ah, thanks guys. Red seemed like the obvious choice, but I wasn't sure if they'd do it, because the Lego logo would blend into the background. I wonder what colours will be used after S7, though? I believe it's been confirmed up to Series 8, but I imagine it will go on for even longer.
  11. This theme doesn't really do it for me. I would have preferred Cryptozoology-type monsters (Yeti, Mongolian Death Worm etc.) to mythological monsters, but whatever. That Swamp-Monster set is a must buy for me, though. That will most likely be all. I do admire the idea, though.
  12. Just wondering, do we know what colour the packets for this series will be yet?
  13. I didn't think it was possible, but you found another use for those planet pieces. Well done, sir!
  14. Well... this is... unexpected. But given the chance, I would pick this up. The Gorilla Suit Guy was one of my most-wanted figures, but I never got a single one. Big gaping hole in my collection. I hope they don't have a 'unique coloured element' for him. I want the original. Another one of the other figures couldn't hurt either, I suppose.
  15. Why do I have a feeling that Aquaman will have some hilarious moments in this game. But really, I can't wait for this. I really miss the feeling of playing new levels and the noise it makes when you unlock new characters
  16. Well, I seem to have missed quite a lot. Now that the sets are actually out, none of them really interest me. The prices aren't great, and I just don't really care for them. The Fun-house is new to me, but that doesn't really do it for me either. Hopefully some future sets will impress me more...
  17. Very nice work. I really like this version of the Penguin, and I'm glad to see some Arkham City creations on this site. Do you plan on making anymore?
  18. Thanks for being honest, I have no problem about harsh criticism. My original idea was to have an B:AC courthouse-type thing, but in the end I went for a Batman Forever-style, with both sides having a completely different architecture. And I'm sad to say, I don't own Two-Face. Just what I was going for, thank you very much. Thanks. Thanks, I'm surprised nobody else has used it. Thanks, and as a general announcement I'd like to say: I will finally be able to use Bricklink in about a month, and I will try to make a much bigger scale version of this.
  19. Finally got around to posting my entry. I had no idea about the extended deadline.
  20. Located in an abandoned warehouse in the industrial district of Gotham City, the domain of the dastardly duke of duality, Two-Face! Split down the middle, just like the villain himself, the lair shows the clean, professional looks of his good/light side, and the spoiled and evil looks of his bad/dark side. The Good Side: The Bad Side: On one side, a potted plant. On the other, a burning bat: Okay, I know this isn't great. I'm short on pieces, but I wanted to contribute something. I also thought this was a pretty good idea for a villain home, and I at least tried. Comments and criticism would be greatly appreciated.
  21. Personally, I feel the level of detail is getting too high. I prefer minifigures to be fairly simple and recognisable. I also like some consistency, not a changing design every few years. I don't mind redesigns of characters, but generic troops or classes should be consistent. I don't like the way that Lego have made a new design for the the stormtroopers and protocol droids in the 2012 waves, essentially making the others obsolete. I also don't like environmental printing like in the new sandtroopers, but I'll stop complaining now. I know I won't be able to change anything, and I don't buy Star Wars sets much any more anyway. But that's just me.
  22. Great work! The minifigures look great, and the architecture is spectacular. The forced perspective works surprisingly well too.
  23. I suppose, now that I look at it again, it does just seem like it's the lighting that's bright. And I do hope we see another version of Riddler some time in the future.
  24. You did it... You combined the greatness of Transformers with the even-greater-ness of Batman. Although I'm not a fan of the show, or the idea of Batman having a giant robot, that's the source material's problem, and this is still a great MOC. Also, how come we haven't seen any Arkham-verse MOC's here? I might have to make one myself.
  25. Finally, better pictures. Opinion time. The Joker's alternate face really works for me. Catwoman's pretty good, and in a cheap set. The Riddler was one I was really looking forward to, but I'm a little underwhelmed. I like the hat and the belt, but the muscle printing kind of ruins it for me. If he's in a good set, with a good Harley, then I'll get it. Otherwise, I'm not so sure. As for Two-Face. Well... he's just too bright. The orange and purple, as much as it defended it, looks ridiculous. Yes, I said it. A darker purple and more faded orange would have saved it. The face is okay, though, and the rest of the set looks pretty good. I'll probably end up getting it. Overall, not great, but not terrible either. I'm still really wishing for some Arkham-verse minifigs, but I doubt it will happen.
