Nice topic, and it reminds me what a bad year this was, I was only happy with one minifig, that was the rebbel trooper, but it was a very important and long awaited figure.

funniest and weerdest custom ever. I really like it and I'm gona copy your idea.

Man, what a body The torso looks like a cool piece, but wasn't that german a litle fatter? He looks so homosexual.
-
Looks very cool. And welcome.

I think that Lego knows there are lots of colectors out there, no parent wil buy his kid the UCS Death Star or Falcon. I saved a lot of money on Star Wars lego these last years.

I'm not in!

Thanks, but you need to find a way to finance your hobby's and Lego isn't that cheap. But, most of all, I really love to paint and the customs I really like I keep for myself. I mostly keep the now Star Wars custom, I don't really like to mix them even if I like the chalange of making customs.

No decals, just painted the figure. I used a regular minifig head, made horns in supersculpey and used more supersculpey to made the rest of the head clean. I filled al the holles up with superglue and than smoothened everthing out before glueing the horns on. I hope you understood what I said, hard to explain in english this is. (btw, the figure is on eBay with some other customs, need the money to fix my PC)

I'm very happy with how this custom turned out. I started with a regular minifig head and used supersculpey and lots of superglue to ad the horns.

At first I was exited with the pirates, but now I must say, the sets are a little disapointing. I really don't like the colors they used. The sets appear to childisch and I have the impression that there is less detail. In general they look a little bit like a Lego knockoff. Put one of these new pirates next to Vikings and you really have a bad mix. I don't see this line lasting very long. The pirates hype (with Pirates of the Carrabean etc...) is over and when there are cooler sets like Castle, Star Wars and Agents for the kids to be bought, I don't see them picking up this theme also.

these are very cool, they have lots of personality.
-
thats true, depending on the price

Yoda looks so funny. But again, these sets looks very difficult to mix with the non Clone Wars sets, so I will pas again. I think the astro mech droid will be interesting to swap it's head with the astro mech's head from Obi Wan's starfighter.

It looks more green, bright green instead of the normal sand green. But it could be the picture.

My Custom SW Characters
Bobskink replied to Dark Sword Ragnarok's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I like the Jedi with cape and Yoda Torso. The Clones with dirty helmet are good aswell, but I'm not a big fan of the clones in general. Good pictures ;) -
Didn't read the reply's, but here is what I do and it works very well. 1) I take my pictures inside at day but make sure the flash does go of. There has to be a normal visiblity inside. The mixture of that normal visiblity and the flash which works as an extra gives me pictures which don't need adjusting in photoshop. The only problem is you need to pick the righ hour of the day, I do it when the sun just starts going under near a window. 2) An other important thing is to put a white peace of paper in tha back so you don't have a dark and distracting background. Do it like this: http://www.pbase.com/ed154/image/87901123 , but make sure your minifig isn't to close to the back, or you'll have a dropshadow, unless that is what you want. 3) An last important thing is to take pictures from a distance, about one meter or more, don't get to close, you'll never get a good focus. Digital cameras these days have a good resolution, just adjust the size of the picture in Paint and get rid of what you don't want to be seen. Hope this helps. Here's an example:

THE OLD Official Eurobricks Straightshooters List

a + for CF WeaZZel please -
2 $, ah what the hell, I'm in....

The Star Wars battle packs went up one €. They seem to notice they are popular. To bad the farm costs that mush if you only want it for the cows.
-
It looks good, but the pictures are way to small to judge correctly. They do look a litle like some tiseu, but that could be the light or small picture.
-
you're absolutely right, but I noticed it to late, which sucks.

The Penguin's Batman Comic Story....
Bobskink replied to The Penguin's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
It looks really good. Your mood setting and dialogs are very good. The pictures are mabe a litle to dark somethimes, night in movies is not the same as night in real life... I would also try to make the text bubles a litle smaller and center the text in it. I know, it are detail, but when somethin is very good, you go for the details. -
thanks for the compliments (of merci voor de complimenten), and yes, he does look better on Lego scale.
