Thanks for the comments already. Good that nobody noticed that I gave him 5 fingers on the big hand, big mistake... But I'm already making a new one, along with a new version with tan vest and a version with no vest, just torso. I'm also working on a Johann Kraus and Abe Sapien, the rest is for later. I must say, it's been a long time I have been pleased with a custom from myself like that. I recently made a Batgirl and it's just awefull. @ Peppermint_M If you want me to make an extra one drop me a pm.

The pictures are not that good, but I was very impatient to put my latest creation on-line. I'm very happy with the result, which is good after some terible customs I made these last times.

The ceremonial trooper is one of the funnies and also best customs I have ever seen, so simple, so cool.

I just got some magnets. The material is notcably of lower quality, but it doesn't bother that mutch. Exept for the Imerial guard, it's just crapy plastic, it's mush darker and really doesn't blend in that well with the rest of the gang. Luckely the helmet looks nice, so I only have to find better torso's and legs.

Springfashion 2009 - Fedora hats

haha, very cool. The Ugly, the Ugly and the Ugly -
I army build with Lego and my GIJoe's. But when I did Warhammer I never liked to army build, it was expensive and I prefered the story behind a single minature. That's why I was very happy that Mordheim came out. I think army building will always go togeather with the contrast against a single figure, character, for example. Obi Wan and Qui Gon against 20 battle droids. It's cool and makes the jedi's seem strong.

Same here, it's still not interesting enough, it's just an ugly set and it must be selling very bad.
-
I like! but one minor detail, can't you remove the 1x1 flat brich at the bottom of the droid? I know it's there for stability, but when he's attached to the thingies, doesn't the droid stand by itself? It just ruins the flow of the picture.

It's really cool. I like how you found new ways to use some of the parts. But i don't like it you gave the rebel that gun, sorry.
-
Never, unless you can only find it at S@H or if it's less expensive than Bricklink. To bad they don't accept paypal, maybe than I would buy more often at S@H.

I have no idea if it's any good, but you could maybe get some inspiration from the UCS Star Destroyer or minifig scale Star Destroyer. Good luck
-
not anymore.

very nice, it does not any improvement. I also like what you did with the sword, good idea.

these are very cute and clean. maybe the heads are a litle to big, but they are just really smooth. I like them a lot.
-
I think not, he's just holding it a strange way, you can see it on the next picture, but I'm not 100% sure since I don't know the guns that well.

Al the Star Wars sets from 1999 at -50% Star Wars Lego wasn't selling that well in the beginning so they put in on sale. I was also able to buy the first Falcon at -50%.
-
Same here, although I always try to go for bargains, trades etc... But, I don't smoke, which is a good excuse to spend your money on something else you actualy don't need that bad. That said, I'm happy I never bought the UCS Falcon or death star and just bought the figures trough Bricklink or Ebay, those sets are to overpriced in my opinion.

@ 5150 Lego You are right about the fact that parents are a bigger influence than Lego, but I think you oversimplify. Parents are not always there and don't always know what there kids do or think. You could say that it's okay to make toys about porn and racism, as long as parents say it's wrong... @Eilif Intereting story, I actualy wonder if this will change during these Obama times, but thats a whole other subject. Anyway, it's still an interesting topic, I think it's the first time I have red every post in a big topic like this. Maybe we should make somekind of test to do with the kids to see how big of an influence this actualy has, if mine and the other astatements are correct or to farfetched. But I do know that kids make al sorts of connections each day, again and again, and that there used to be a time that Lego was a toy you could buy your kids knowing it was 100% okay, now Lego, although it's still a very cool toy, it's also become one of those toys were as a parent you need to keep a watchfull eye open.

The Clone Factory - Droid Commando
Bobskink replied to clonefactory's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
very very cool. Sipmle, yet real Lego like. -
I would like a Ftuuiop and Lom Ptrieet minifig. (those don't exist, sorry about this, but it's so tempting) very funny first post. No, I don't want any more Star wars spinofs, I don't belive in them and there are better sets and minifigs to make which aren't produced yet.

that Polix is great, asuming he's the same race as Zuckuss, cool gun aswell. The rest is good aswell, but i don't realy know these races.

nope, if I remeber correctly they are 3,99 € in Belgium, so that must be the same in Germany. Not al Scandinavian organisations have that strange way of changing dollars into euro's BTW, Holodoc, next time you use such a cool picture as your signature, don't compres it that mush, it's a shame that some of the detail got lost. I noticed this before, since you have a cool signature to stare at.
