I have 8 of these, every now and then I buy an extra one. These boxes are indead great to storage bigger or multiple parts. I'ts great for minifigs anyway.

Yeah, could be, but I don't think the kids will see it that way, even if the alien isn't realy imprisoned. The main thing for me is, that this is the first time I'm really disapointed in Lego. I hated the UCS deathstart going up 100€ or waiting 11 years for a Tauntaun, but this is just so stupid of them. It's a cliche to say it like this, but I think Godtfred Kirk Christiansen would turn around in his grave. BTW, sorry about that quate thing, but I don't know how to quote in qoute.

That's going a litle Guantanamo on the Aliens. It's even worse than I thought. I just can't belive Lego did this. I understand that to stay competitive Lego changes some old rules and guidelines they have for themself. But this is bad, parents buy Lego for there kids because they want them to be creative and don't play with plastic guns, intead they get a mobile torture or life extractor chamber. If a person makes a Lego Auswitch (which was ment for fun and as a statement) they start whining, that they don't want to be associated to that. But capture and torture the alien is okay. Unles I see t'is completely wrong.

I never would have thought this topic would get so big in so litle time. There are some really interesting and smart points of vieuw and I also had some interesting history lessons. But still, my opinion hasn't changed, although it seems I didn't expres it clear enough, which maybe made this topic a litle to general. Anyway, it seems that I'm not alone with these thoughts. But, like the most people here, I know it, but I don't care, as long as we get cool figures and Lego keeps being mindfull about what they do. Oh yeah, and they should make a Screaming Indy face to balance things out, nobody really could give a counter argument on that part.

Some people will need an extra job next year I think. Al the new sets look realy cool, but none of them is a small (cheap) set.

That's my point, I don't think they are racist, but I just think they should be carefull, before we know they do really offend somebody and what will hapen if that person starts somekind of lawsuit.

Sorry Hick, but you make it seem to easy I think. Kids can't make the connections adults do. I think there's a big difference between on race or al of them. I know that there are male scared faces, but only two on a million. For the girls it's a lot more these last few years. If Marion has a scared face, why not continue the stereotype and give Indy an angry face and his fater a conserned face. But starting an alien civil rights movement sounds cool, maybe a good and funny way to mention this problem.

That was a joke duh ;) About the Castle line, this is such an ancient theme. You could also look at it as different races (humans, dwarfs, evles...) united against evil. Anyay, I'm not offended and I don't mind that much, but I do think Lego should be carefull about these things.

When looking at the new Space Police sets I got really mad at the narrow-mindedness of the character design. Maybe it's to farfetched, but it was the first thing I thought of. Why are the villains aliens. It's not like Mars mission, there the villains were one particular race of aliens, but now every alien is a villain. It's so racist in my opinion. Of course no one will really get offended, but still, Lego is for the kids and now it tells them that what is strange, must be bad. Wouldn’t it be so cool if the Space Police guys had an alien sidekick, it’s also an easy and recognizable stereotype, but a better stereotype. Also, why do only the Woman have a screaming face. I'm not a feminist or American, I don’t get offended that easily, I understand that certain old values must go to keep making profit, but they should be more careful.

This is again so unfair for the European customers. I really hope Lego burn themself on this set. $55 Is expensive, but it looks fair for US customers, you want my advice, I think you should buy the car!

Tose muscles you propose are not enough to represent a descent Ahnuld. But I will make one eventualy, when light flesh torso's get cheaper.

The bike on the priliminary boxart is cool. It's just nice so that after all these new pieces Lego designers never forget the old bricks.

a few years back we didn't have enough different headpieces, this year they seem to make to mutch of them. I don' like it that they changed the visors of the Hoth Troopers again, there's no consistentie.

I finaly painted this custom. I'm happy with the last minute spear idea. Crapy pictures I know, but my PC is still not 100% okay to edit the pictures.

I would suggest you do somekind of contest when you plan to give them away. I think that everybody want's them, including me, so that way it seems a litle more fair when giving them away trough that way. good luck
