  1. It can't have a single landing gear at front unfortunately due to the double barrel underbelly (I'll try to take a pic). I did try to change the black bars for trans bricks but they look very out of place sadly due to the windscreen being so much more clearer. As for the tiles, I might change them, or add more of them, thanks for the suggestions. Batbrick Away!
  2. Great stuff TP (you don't mind if I call you that do you?), I'm a big fan of log bricks so this is great to me, you never cease ot amaze how you can squeeze so many awesome mocs from a single idea (train). Nice mystery too, I'd hate to get that mail, I like the skeleton hand, nice touch there. Do all these add ons connect to the whole train? Batbrick Away!
  3. Same, I actually got a little vertigo just looking at that! Batbrick away!
  4. Ah, that age old yet always funny twins act, i love that they have separate conscience yet also act as one. I'd hoped we'd see these two again, I'm really looking forward to how this ties together. EDIT: By the way, intentional or not, the lighting was wonderful in this one! I loved it, the shadows and dark, starry background made for a very plot oriented and militaristic mood. Batbrick Away!
  5. This (I love this setup btw, took me ages): So sorry for the gigantic pic! I must've left the setting higher than I wanted And also this: Batbrick Away!
  6. Congrats mate! So proud of you! I was hoping you'd do well, thanks for sharing this with us. Hehe, glad to see you use the Lord Dragonator design, What are you doing in the past? Batbrick Away!
  7. Thanks Inertia! I'm glad you like the windscreen, the speedracer one I love to use. As for the ship's use, I forgot to post that, it is renaissance and scouting flyer, for commercial and military use Thanks as always Asuka, glad you like it. You're right, it is retro, I didn't want to make it too advanced, but instead a design you might see in the future. Thanks, glad to be a part of space again. Batbrick Away!
  8. Hello EB, I'd like to share with you my recent attempts at customisation, which several members have swayed me towards. Here is a few Gotham players I've made: Firefly, a pyromaniac villain of Batman. For those not of comic knowledge he uses a jetpack and thermal wings to fly above the flames he causes. I loved the look of the helmet I used as it looked buglike, and the torso looked a bit like a heatsuit. The wings are made out of a hard kind of paper, I'm really happy how he turned out: Back view: A generic Gotham Gangster. You may notice he has a grey fedora, one of my very first paint jobs. Fedoras have huge uses in the Batworld so having 8 brown ones wasn't necessary, and I came pretty dar close to a dark bley colour. I'm happy how the undershirt worked too, and the glasses face: Gotham prostitute. Yes, as the title so awkwardly says there is a prostitute Sorry if any are offended, but Gotham being Gotham I had to have atleast one. I'm uber glad how the Trixie torso and legs worked for her, combined with the Cruncher's driver head and Spalko hair: Gotham SWAT team. Those who watch BTAS may notice the resemblance, as these are based off them. I love the rebel heads and dino attack torsos: My other paintjob. Some of you may recall me wanting a purple fedora for Joker in the 08 line. Sadly there wasn't one, but I'm not one to give up, so here is my second painted fedora, which I'm very happy how the colour came out. Bud the hyena is next to him too, I hope to get the policeman impulse for a second dog to be Lou, the other hyena, or Ha-haciendas as Joker puts it And of course Montoya, Bullock and Gordon form my Gotham Policestation: Hope you enjoyed, thanks for looking, and comments appreciated! Batbrick Away!
  9. Hi all! I've been building like crazy as of recent. After reading through KDog's wonderful and hilarious space comic (see sig for link) I was inspired to get back into space (a theme I loved as a child) and make some mocs for it. Here's the first one so far so go easy on me, I call it the Zebra Wing - nicknamed so for its colour scheme: Sorry for the large pics, this is the first time this has ever happened sorry, so I'll only post a few: Wheel view, Cabin closed, Cabin open. View of people inside: Up, Up, And Away! More pics here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=320414 Very much sorry for the large pics, please enjoy, and a special thanks to KDog for getting me back into space-based fun! Batbrick Away!
  10. Great creation here TheBrickster, I love the simple but effective look, it is indeed freightful! (Yes that was a poor joke ) As for you Athos, you're not meant to know what lays within! Afterall, that would defeat the mystery Batbrick Away!
  11. *Edits post* What are talking about? Batbrick away!
  12. Vote: Tanotrooper Batbrick Away!
  13. Thanks Whitefang! I love this battlepack, but can only really hope to get one. still, great accesories and a spider! That's great! Batbrick Away!
  14. Thanks guys! Glad you like 'em! I'm keeping together my scarecrow carriage as I like it so much. Thankyou very much Whitefang for all those comments, yes Riddler, Bane, Poison Ivy and a few custom figs will be given impulse sets soon, oh, and feel free to use my carriage design, it is rather cute I think Hopefully you can get the small set this year with Mr.Freeze perhaps? Thanks TinyPiesRUs, I'm glad you like the banana phone! Thanks as well hollisbrick, glad you like them. Thanks very much The Penguin friend, if only that Penguin impulse was real eh? Nice BTAS reference too, I laughed at that. And yes, Catwoman often steals Stop sign! Thanks riddler, yes I will make one of you soon. Thanks The Rancor, but I am confused. Why am I excited? Is it a Batmoc? Batbrick Away!
  15. I love this! Awesome submarine, a glowing octopus, cool ship and some cool looking minifigs! Thanks for posting, 2008 just keeps getting more expensive... Batbrick away!
  16. YES! I WIN! Die fools! Die! :skull: Erm, sorry about that. But I think a movie contest would be great, using sigfigs perhaps or not? A Blacktron contest would be nice, but why don't we just go nuts and have a Space Theme contest where each person updates a theme of their choice with a set? I think it'd be great, it could run with or without categories too. Oh, and thanks to entire Staff team for doing all this too, you guys rarely get enough appreciation for all the work here, so thanks! Batbrick Away!
  17. Hello, some of you may remember my original Bat impulse sets, which were made after the impulse competition which I thoroughly enjoyed. I made some impulses (or in some cases a 27 piece small set) that i'd love to see released for Batman. Here is part 2, starting with: Catwoman: I'm really happy with this one, we all know TLC would never put this many cool pieces in a set, but I love it all the same: Comes with Catwoman, diamond, golden idol, 2 crystal skulls, golden katana, gold mayan plate and stop sign: Killer Croc: I'm also happy with this one, sure it is the scale of a small set, but I think it's cool: Comes with Killer Croc, dark green Crocodile, 4 chicken legs, rat, skull, map, torch, 100 dollar note and 2 guns. Two-Face: This I'm a little iffy on, but it's okay, good gun selection and silver 1x1 rounds: Comes with Two-Face, giant coin, 3 guns, Harvey letter and 100 dollar note: Joker: Now I love this one, so many great joker goodies, tell me what you think of my custom acid flower gun: Comes with joker, gun, flower gun, flowers, Bud the hyena, 2 Joker bombs, a banana and BANG gun: Penguin: A realistic impulse set, and an army builder for penguins, especially for EB member The Penguin! Comes with the Penguin, umbrella and three penguins: Mr.Freeze: This one's okay, I couldn't think of much to do really: Comes with Mr.Freeze, freeze gun, diamonds, crystals, control panel and ice block. Scarecrow: My favourite. Too big to be impulse I know but still 27 pieces, I'm keeping it together. Discount the scythe though, I only realised after the first two pics that it pushes the count over the limit: Comes with Scarecrow, horse, pumpkin bombs, carriage and snake: Sorry for the bad pic here: Overview: Comments appreciated! Batbrick Away!
  18. Wow! Great job friend! I love them all! Your sports car is fantastic, I love how it is now six wide and four studs shorter, it look much better than the actual set. Black Mask is excellent, much better than mine, is he using a Harry Potter piece? Very clever. You've done Harleen perfectly! Is that a real head piece? The hair is perfect too, great job Though I'm a bit afraid what she's doing to Joker standing behind him like that Roxy Rocket is perfect too. I never really liked her much, but you have captured her wonderfully with that torso, helmet and face. The two versions of Robin look great, I like the green better but variation is always good, I never thought of that. That Vader torso is perfect for wounded Batman, I love it! looks a nit like a scene from Knightfall when his back is broken. I like the singer, good face usage there, I love your idea for a microphone though, I'd like to use that one day if I may? And I love the Vicki Vale team, great job there, you've definitely captured that news team feel. However, knowing your use of BTAS and TNBA characters I'm rather surprised you didn't make Summer Gleeson Batbrick Away!
  19. Thanks for the review Deino! I love going back through the old "Agents" thread just to see how wrong we were about these awesome sets! I actually really like the gate, those portcullis pieces people may know i always find nice uses for, and I really, really, really want that awesome sound brick. The figs are a bit disappointing in numbers, but agent Chase is very cool, generic henchman are great, and Spy Clops is one of my favourite minifigs ever! The helicopter is wonderful too, I love that it is customised for Spy clops to winch him down. The colours as usual for these sets are fantastic, the dark blue, orange and chrome silver! The car is the best though, I love all the functions. How does the ejector seat work though? Batbrick away!
  20. Doom was awesome! Way underrated. Sure it had flaws, but Kotcs has them most. And Crusade is the longest or second longest I'm sure. Batbrick away!
  21. Watch in horror as Batbrick sweeps in and gives the entirely obvious reason: TLC DIDN'T get to watch the movie! As if they would be allowed! Do you think for a second that they would all keep their traps shut if they did? They would've been given a few sketches, a pic or two, and maybe clip, but the most part it is creative license and improvisation over what they would've been given Batbrick Away!
  22. You are not allowed to speak anymore. No seriously, just die. Now. But seriuosly, better than the originals is the biggest load of (censored) I've heard, what was wrong with Crusade? That was a great movie! Batbrick Away!
  23. I fear for his life after seeing this.......thing then! Batbrick Away!
  24. Ah I see, thanks. I'd love to see the theme return, seems there might be a chance with that catalogue poll Another I'd love to see would be a cactus shootout scene or something, just for some cool Lego cactuses and Wild west scenery. Batbrick Away!
  25. Thanks, I'm a pretty slow writer, it took me a bit over an hour Oh I agree entirely, I hope my post didn't seem anti-CGI I love CGI, but only when it is used appropriately, well done and doesn't distract from the point of the movie. You make a great point with Davy Jones, the motion capture performance was stunning. What I meant was that the CGI was used unnecessarily. The giant ants in the movie were incredibly real looking, but that doesn't change the fact that deep down you knowit isn't real, which means you never get that spine tingle like with the rats in Crusade or bugs in Temple. And the CGI used to make the Mutt swordfight sequence look real was great as well, but that doesn't change the fact you know that it is absolutely ridiculous, this is where the creators "just CG it" thus resulting in a silly scene achievable by this means, which is a perversion of what CG should be used for: enhancing the film. I though the same thing when I looked at it. Them movie was interesting, but when will the damn story start? Thanks, glad you atleast enjoyed it despite our differences of opinion, unfortunately I'll have to debate you now I agree, glad that despite liking the film (which is fine) you still recognise a few annoying bits. Oh don't get me wrong the CG was excellent, but it wasn't real. I thought the ant scene was fun, but never once feared for the protagonist or got that chill down my spine from the crawlies, because, unlike Temple of Doom, you knew they weren't there. A real animal perhaps, but not on camera, so no feel of peril. I agree they may have been interesting, but they sure weren't positive. Try and watch Raiders and then this, and tell me if a forbidden idol is so gross Seriously, it would've been better if the "aliens" were more vague and never came back to life, so we didn't get the single weakest "gross" death in the quadrilogy - Spalko's incineration into CGI dust. A different direction could have easily been done with an artifact, just like in Temple of doom with the Indian Sankara Stones, I would've loved a chinese artifact, imagine the cool temples there! Way better than the Akator one! That's the point, interesting, different, totally unengaging. If something was in it for our intrepid explorer, that would've been better, as without a reason to chase after it except for "it told me to" we are left cheated, a crystal skull with psychic powers may be important to the enemy but the audience doesn't identify with the enemy do they? Thus we are left rather cheated. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, but it had nothing on the escapism of Club Obi-Wan or other beginnings, which was the eptiome of adventure, rather than being blown to kingdom come in a fridge. Perfectly fine! I hope you reply back to, I love friendly debates, it gets both people to appreciate opinion and each other's views more Oh yes, that makes sense, but I believe ditching the whole thing in favour of a more exciting macguffin would've been better anyway. It's like saying it HAD to have UFO's and aliens in it because of the commies, why not just replace commies then? Thankyou very much legobear, I'm glad you appreciate my writing! I enjoyed the movie, but honestly in my opinion it could've been a great one if they just dropped Indy from the title Batbrick Away!
