  1. The 60's are ALWAYS a good thing for Batman! :-D Nothing beats Ceaser Romera with a grease painted moustache. Batbrick Away! >:-)
  2. Preference of character maybe? Or you just don't got love for that cowl? X-D Theres always bad depictions. I loved the long Halloween, but what was up with Selina Kyle looking like a man during the Poison Ivy segment, saying of all things that he needed a feminine touch? Okay, I admit it! Now stop gloating or I'll be forced to engage in a pun fight! Not to mention Alberto's ears... Funny how we managed to sidetrack the conversation to the women of DC eh? We have some serious bias skill here. Batbrick Away! >:-)
  3. Oh, I forgot about this, maybe it was the lame prize :-P I voted for supremecommandergrevious, his dwarf impulse is a great one and I would so buy it in numbers. Batbrick Away! >:-)
  4. Why does everyone like the minibots more? :'-( Thanks, though the minibots were surprisingly an afterthought, I spent ages on the main attraction! :-D I was about to tell you to shutup already, but then again, a Bat-Reaper could be interesting.... Batbrick Away! >:-)
  5. That witch is fantastic, lucky we'll be getting her in the Advent Calender too. Batbrick Away! >:-)
  6. Thankyou imperialshadows. The dog (Ace) was hard for me too, it was my first repaint of a Lego piece ever, so I can understand that. I'm pretty happy with it though. What? No! I will never throw away my cabbage! *sing* Thankyou, but, (edits post) I don't know what you are talking about. Thanks Asuka, always appreciated. Thanks Brainbox, glad youl iked them. I agree the Alfred one is still the best, me being the slow builder I am I worked two days on that one :-$ As for Ace, I thought you might catch that. I painted him black as he appears in the DC animated universe, for some upcoming vigs based on it. I have two dogs though, both from the police station, so I occasionally take DCAU Ace out and replace him with standard Ace (brown). Though I have to admit I kind of prefer having black Ace on display, not because of his colour, just because I added my own little touch to him, while the other is just a standard dog. Thankyou The Penguin, greatly appreciated. I'm glad you like Nightwing's one, and I agree it could have used one more item. Thanks again. Batbrick Away! >:-)
  7. Hi all fellow Batfans, I'm here to present my latest little build(s). Firstly, a sincere apology to Brainbox, I'm eagerly awaiting his Bat Goody Bag Part 3, and in no way wanted to get this out as soon as possible. I've had it in my brickshelf folder for a little over 1 and a half weeks about, and had to post it before I forgot or the concept lost it's freshness. I adhered to the same rules as the competition also, though it was extremely hard to think of good ideas. I enjoyed the Impulse competition SO much that I decided to make a line of them based on Bat characters after my Alfred entry (which I still believe to be my best impulse): This is the first part, the impulse sets for the released bat family. Batman was actually really hard to think of impulse sets for, but I hope you like them. First up is Blue Batman in Gotham Park. I wanted to include a sort of "badguy" element so I liked the gate, and of course a very Batmanish place to explore, creepy Gotham Park: Comes with Blue Batman, two bats, chicken leg, thrown out junk mail, badguy "keep out" gate, rubbish bin, bush and lampost. Pieces (I tried to include as many useful bits as possible): Blacksuit Batman impulse in Gotham Alley. Batman was relly hard to choose for. I couldn't think of any other great city elements so I feel the Batcycle fitted in. I'm happy with how the disposal unit turned out though: Comes with Blacksuit Batman, Batcycle, Waste disposal unit, skull, letter, purple cabbage and chicken leg: Pieces: Greysuit Batman Impulse in Batcave. I wanted one in the Batcave of course, and I like that he has the mask off here, good playability. The Bane wanted poster is a must to be included, and of course Brainbox has me hooked on including Kryptonite in the Batcave now. Overall I'm really happy with this one: Comes with Greysuit Batman, Batcowl, Kryptonite, Bane wanted poster, Batcave torch, computer, Joker fingerprints and magnifying glass: Pieces: Bruce Wayne impulse in Wayne Manor. I like this one too, even if it is a tad big. Sure my printer is bad so the Wayne pic ain't perfect, but I'm happy with how it comes out, it gives Wayne Manor that lonely feel I think: Comes with Bruce Wayne, Wayne portrait, Wayne photoframe, fireplace, plone, money, plant and glass: Act out the sorrowful life of Bruce Wayne as he stares into the portrait of his lost parents and wishes for a better life.... Pieces: Robin Snowmobile impulse. I couldn't decide on what to give Robin, when I thought a snowmobile would be cool for him, as I am building a similar one for Bats. I liked it so much I modded it a little and have kept it on display: Comes with Robin and snowmobile: Pieces: Nightwing Impulse in Gotham Square. Nightwing I was lost with what to include. I'm indifferent over this impulse, on one hand I love my lamp design and chairs, but on the other I felt I could have included more. Oh well, I'd still buy it! :-D Comes with Nightwing, two seats and two lamps: Pieces: And lastly, a shot of all of them: (sorry for the large pic, thank goodness for the new software) Hope you liked, I really would like to see some cheap sets with these characters, especially Alfred, Nightwing, Bruce Wayne and Robin. Batbrick Away! >:-)
  8. O-17 Fershwitz Boran started on the long journey back to the Orc capital, talisman in hand. Two loyal skeleton warriors upon nightmarish undead steeds followed closely, guarding him silently. Fershwitz respected the land of the dead, much as he feared it, and though the Orcs, even within their tiny colony, outweighed the skeletons in sheer numbers, the undead were a powerful foe that were hard to kill again, merciless too. Despite his fear of Scourge as well, the Orc Chief had forged a large admiration for him, and strangely was glad to have him as an ally. The trip back to the Orc capital would take a day via the battlecart, and Fershwitz was already anxious to grace his leader with the news. Though war was no doubt a long way off - many preparations are needed - it was assured the the Orc race would enter a new era, hopefully one that would reclaim them their land. Before any preparations were to be had, Fershwitz had decided he must know the minds of his enemies, and their technology. He had heard of one man, a man with a robot arm by the name Adym Wrenchmonger, a Crown nation human who knew the technology of Dwarves and Knights. The Orc chief knew that his mission following the place of alliance, would be to hunt down this man and learn his secrets...
  9. Fair enough, I'll just make you grunt and stare or something! :-P Heres my character finally: And the meeting between Scourge and Fershwitz: Batbrick Away! >:-)
  10. Hmmm, interesting. I think you may be able to "play" the other character a tiny bit, but only have them do unimportant things to move it along. I got it wrong the first bit, but in my newest one I have Deinonychus' character only stare or say something unnecessary so I can react. Is that okay? And I'll get my character pic up soon. Batbrick Away! >:-)
  11. O-17 Fershwitz Boran understood the skeleton's logic, and thought deeply upon how he could get this to work. "I understand, he said, and would be most happy to take those wretched Dwarves, who cast my ancestors from the mountainside." He paused again, awkward that he himself would have to face The Dark Wizard, and came upon a solution. "However, for such a strike to be possible, or even convincing enough to work for the Master, I would first have to return to my homeland and persuade my leader to rally the armies in his service and prepare for a strike, for such a large decision could not be made overnight". Scourge merely stared down, unmoving, looking into the very soul of Fershwitz. He continued, "So that is what we should do yes? In order to attain power and convince his Darkness of how our plan could succeed, a show of faith is needed. Shall I return in several days, after my people are ready for His bidding? After all, an all out strike would be near death, using your land some Orc ships could be launched as raiding parties across the coast, to distract the Crown Kingdom to our plans and truce". Fershwitz had covered his tracks well, though his logic did actually make sense, he just hoped that Scourge would not smell his fear, his fear of meeting with the Dark Wizard himself...
  12. Woops! Sorry, I'd better go edit my newest post! EDIT: There we go, sorry about that. You only say a tiny bit in my newest part that doesn't have any effect on the situation or action. I'm new to these things, but as you said: Hooray! Interaction! *skull* Batbrick Away! >:-)
  13. O-17 Fershwitz Boran smiled widely, his large yellowed canines revealing themselves again. He was beginning to like this man, despite still in fear of him. He flipped through the document quickly, he would read it in full later, and found Scourge's word to be true. Fershwitz replied, "Yes, this will definitely bring about a new age, with a stronger alliance a place to launch our ships again, we can recover our stolen lands and once more the Orc race will have a seaside, once more will we have the sea, and once more the Crown Kingdom will fear our alliance!" Scourge smiled, however a gruesome skull can anyway, and replied: "Do not forget that the land of the dead shall receive her wish also". "Of course sir", stated Boran, "The Orc and Troll armies are at the Dark Wizard's command, we know his obsession in taking the Crown Kingdom after what happened, all we Orcs wish is for a greater land, and on the side, the Dwarf's King head on a plate." Scourge interrupted him with a booming voice, "You know not to speak of that time, the Dark Wizard forbids his past being mentioned!". Boran recoiled in fear. "Of course sir!" yelped the Chief, fearful of the undead's wrath, "Is there anything else I must report to my Leader before I go?" Batbrick Away! >:-)
  14. Well my Orc character is meeting the Skellie commander of Deinonychus's now, who knows what will come of that, hopefully something evil! *skull* If any Crownie or Fright Knight wants to get embroiled in the little subplot to tie it in thats fine, theres a bit of tension between our countries. Batbrick Away! >:-)
  15. O-17 Ferswitz Boran, Orc Chief of Neighboring Relations enters the vile desolate land of the dead. Here he is to meet Scourge, dark commander of this barren wasteland. A flash of lightning illuminates the dark clouds and surrounding area, revealing that Fershwitz was surrounded by Scourge and his flanks for quite a while. "BLast!", grunts the Orc Chief, astonished,"The Rumours are true of your strategic skill then?" "More than you can imagine" stated the commander, speaking almost in a whisper...voice dripping with malice. "We have some discussions to attend" rushed the Orc, terrified of this soulless monster. "Well, er, lets get on with it shall we?" hurried Fershwitz, wanted to get this over as soon as possible. "What have you come to ask?" echoed Scourge's voice above the lightning, not flinching or moving, just staring.... "I have come on behalf of the Orc Leader to renew our peace treaty, and if that goes ahead", for the first time a smile crept across Fershwitz Boran's face, revealing his giant tusks,"Our battle plans". Scourge considered this for a moment, recalling what the Dark Wizard wished, and gave his answer on which depends the future of the entire Orc lands and surrounding regions. Batbrick Away! >:-)
  16. :-D Thats just plain hilarious! :-D Batbrick in Stitches! :-D
  17. Yay it begins! 17, N: Fershwitz Boran, the Orc Chief of neighboring relations, has been assigned the duty of traveling to the Skeleton Lands where he may meet Deinonychus' character Scourge to discuss the peace treaty and army plans.... He currently is setting off form Orc country, in a battlecart flanked by two mountain trolls. Batbrick Away! >:-)
  18. Thankyou as always Asuka, very much appreciated. Though everyone seems to like the minibots more than the main attraction! :'-( :-D :-D ROFL! :-D Thankyou so much Hinckley, this comment made my day! Just you wait and see what I come up with next >:-) Batbrick Away! >:-)
  19. Thanks guys! *sweet* No I don't think they will be in IA, though there are already the Flame Bots and several other things in store. Thanks for the compliments, Thanks LuxorV, I have lots of flames too, but I can never have enough! Yes, the gas tanks on the back is the source of fuel for the fire, good noticing. Batbrick Away! >:-)
  20. I agree too, a God is taking it WAY to far. Not to mention how powerful Belloq's made him, and the fact he can just control all Orcs and Bull Knights AND has a beast from hell and whatnot is stretching it to breaking point. Batbrick Away! >:-)
  21. The merciless Fire Reapers sent by the Grespid Star System to conquer the known galaxy spread much death and destroyed many moons and planets over their one hundred and eleven year siege, which ended only when the very last Bots had been destroyed. As the victims found at last a small hope to cling to, they gazed upon the sight of their ravaged homeworld: All three: Minibot one: Minibot two: Main Fire Reaper: All three again: More pics Here. Hope you enjoyed, comments appreciated. Batbrick Away! >:-)
  22. A hilarious little creation iamded, I love it! Great idea, very romantic in a gory way, great to see stuff from you. I love the setup and execution, very funny and clever. Great job! Batbrick Away! >:-)
  23. Admittingly she does look very good in that pic, though it really doesn't explain the preference over Batgirl (when she was still able to use her legs). Scary, though I admittingly have a small list of Talia, Black Canary, Wonderwoman and, erm.......Babs a little. I love Sale's work too, though his Joker has a bit of an extended jawline. My one criticism of Loeb is his whole mystery killer angle, which has worn thin by Hush I'd say. (Looks) Oh dear, what will we do with you.... Batbrick Away! >:-)
  24. :-D , I can just picture it: Batman: "I'm sending you back to Arkham, scum!" Ridder: "On the contrary Batman, i am here to rid the city of YOU! Muhahahaha!" I think I'll put on Lex in my faves list too, though only several versions are truly great, some seem to reduce him to bald nut. Batbrick Away! >:-)
  25. "Morituri te salutant!" I say! "Morituri te salutant!" indeed! Batbrick Away! >:-)
