So if the Fantastic Four set is 427 pieces, that's roughly twice the number of pieces in the Thor Surter buildable, and slightly less than the Eternals Arishem set. So Galactus could be as large as Arishem with the Fantastic Four thrown in, or it could be as big as a buildable with potentially a Fantastical thrown in with the figures? -

When do pictures of the Captain America set release? I know there's been a pattern of set pics releasing a month before release, but Lego doesn't typically release Marvel sets in December (at least not that I can recall). -

So either its comic-based, in which case the one MCU set could likely be for Thunderbolts, or there was a mistake and Fantastic Four is the MCU set. I just finding surprising that after 12+ years, Lego is finally making the Fantastic Four, which coincidentally coincides with a Fantastic Four film, but its not based on the film. I'm happy either way, but something's not adding up. I've also noticed that Lego Marvel sets don't typically get more than 5-6 Minifigures per set, so if the MCU set is Thunderbolts, we may not get Sentry (and maybe Taskmaster). If it's Fantastic Four, I can see us getting all four and maybe Silver Surfer. -

What I am wondering is: Does Lego make sets for Marvel because they themselves think a movie will get people to buy sets, or does Lego make sets for Marvel because of a contractual agreement to produce material for the film. Whether the film looks great or not, Lego has made sets for every Marvel film since 2014 (exception D&W b/c R-rating), so I wonder if there exists a mandate to produce sets, even if just one with little to no figures. -

Still nothing on Thunderbolts though. What gives? Ideally the F4 set gives us all four in the Fantasticar and Silver Surfer. -

He looks about as tall as Korg (maybe a bit bulkier). Hopefully some orange head cap and/or white shoulder pads emphasizes his size compared to the other minifigures. -

Despite Echo being in the last series, I think it highly unlikely we get any TV-MA characters from Daredevil or Zombies. There's also no guarantee we get a CMF from Marvel next year. That said, I have some guesses. Since the last series released, we've had or will have: Loki Season 2 (God Loki, Möbius) What If Season 2 (Kahhori, Captain Carter 1602, Hela) X-Men '97 (Nightcrawler, Jubilee) Agatha (Agatha, Joe Locke's "Teen") Ironheart (Riri, The Hood) What If Season 3 (Young Alexei, Character from Gundam episode, etc.) Eyes of Wakanda (Noni, former Black Panther, former Iron Fist) Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (Spidey, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Iron Man) Wonder Man? Vision? X-Men '97 Season 2, etc. Previous series characters (Zemo, Kingpin, Scarlet Scarab, Ms. Marvel, Else Bloodstone, etc.) -

This is just a hypothetical, but I've noticed that every D2C recently has included figures from sets in January of that year. I haven't seen it mentioned, but is it possible we get Nueva York as a D2C next year? -

Taskmaster's design is similar to the Udon version (I'm not a fan of). I like Ghost's mask, but I don't like how it contrasts with the rest of the costume. Very excited and hopeful for US Agent, Alexei, and Yelena. I do hope we get sets, but with Exabricks detailing all these new Spring sets for Marvel, I'm surprised we haven't heard anything yet. -

Best chance is either Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man or Avengers. Hope to learn more on the former later today. -

I don't understand this last line. I can't think of any projects Marvel has announced and then canceled other than Inhumans. I don't know what's causing Blade to have so many issues, but they seem to have some confidence now to not remove Blade from their 2025 slate. For 2025, I hope we get 2 or more sets each for Thunderbolts and Fantastic 4. Thunderbolts has a large roster to warrant multiple sets, and Fantastic 4 has so many sets concepts (buildable Galactus, the Fantasticar, the Baxter Building, and the arrowhead-shaped rocket). For 2026, we could get Doom and perhaps Latveria. The only films I know are in development that could release in 2026 are Armor Wars, Spider-Man, and Shang-Chi. For 2027, we get more Avengers and variants for Secret Wars. Besides that, the only other film confirmed to be in development is X-Men. So if we don't get Deadpool & Wolverine in Secret Wars, we may get other mutants in 2027. -

Some Marvel release dates were revealed, and I have some guesses and set estimations. Captain America 4, Thunderbolts, and Fantastic 4 release next year. So does Blade, but its Rated-R, so likely no sets. Doomsday and two other films in 2026 (likely Armor Wars and Shang-Chi 2). They dropped a previously dated July film which could be for Spider-Man 4. Secret Wars and two films after its release in 2027. My guess is X-Men and one other film. -

Unfortunately, we don't have a large sample of Marvel CMFs to know how Lego could/would shift in the future. I don't think an exclusively animated CMF is likely; although, with the number of animated projects coming out, or having already come out, and the minority of live action opportunities, I wouldn't be surprised by a mostly animated CMF. I still offer the idea that if Lego were to shift from their Disney+ themed CMFs, an Avengers expansion series to tie into Doomsday in 2026 could be fun. Any character who doesn't appear in the film could be in a CMF. From what I've seen, X-Men '97 is one of the most viewed series on Disney+ this year, even more than Echo. Either way, I'm not sure how strong the correlation is between viewership and figure selection. If Lego receives concepts and permission to make figures for upcoming projects, whether they seem popular or not, I think the designers will still find ways of making them. -

Iceman is a great choice considering the designer of the Daily Bugle originally wanted Iceman in that set to complete Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends. If true, we can get all three of them. -

Typically, ensemble films from Marvel get 3 or more sets. Even last year, Guardians had 3 sets. With the characters likely getting matching costumes, I can see them recycling parts in multiple sets (maybe even for Avengers), so I feel optimistic in 2 or more sets. If lego cuts corners, I could see the Thing being a mini figure and use the same legs as the others. Like Korg, they could give him a stone-textured headpiece. From the footage shown at SDCC, he's not much taller than the others (about the same as Korg), so I could see it going either way. -

I have mixed but mostly positive feelings about RDJ as Doom. I’ve long since accepted the films aren’t always faithful to the comics, and with the multiverse element, I’m open to the idea. Luckily, we got a Doom figure already, and once the film has released, not only will we get an MCU Doom, but Lego will probably make a $15 Doom mech a year or two later. -

When Avengers Infinity War was coming out, I think Marvel was one of the top selling themes for Lego. It's dropped since then, and I think the sets reflect that. That said, I'm optimistic these next few years. In 2025, we're getting the Fantastic Four. In 2026, we're getting Avengers 5. In 2027, we're getting Avengers Secret Wars (and maybe X-Men). I remember not being excited all that much for Deadpool 3 when it was first reported, but my opinion (and others) has shifted dramatically since then, and it sounds like the film could make over a billion. Once marketing ramps up for Fantastic Four and Avengers, I think there'll be a stronger desire for sets when these films release.
