[MOCs] and [MODs] My Adventurers ...

Have you ever asked yourself where Doc Lightning gets the electricity from to operate the satelite dish in set 5987 (Dino research compound)? Well, here is the answer: I have built a small power plant on a 10x20 brick as a modular extension for set 5987. The source of this power station is a very special red crystal. -
That looks great! I can get one for you in my local Lego store if you want. If you pm me your address I'll sent it right across the Atlantic.

[MOCs] and [MODs] My Adventurers ...

Today I present a new faction in the Adventurers' jungle subtheme. As factions we have Johnny and his gang, Senor Palomar and Max Villano and - last but not least - Achu. Now here is a fourth faction, an unknown tribe of grim warriors with their chief holding a black obsidian axe and a golden goblet. When I first saw these dark orange legs with printed leaves (from the Monkie Kid set 80024) I knew that they would be a good base to build modern islanders. I have about a dozen of them now. But the problem is that Lego has only three or four dark orange heads with faces. So these three guys are the only one with faces yet. The others have only plain heads. So I am still looking for more dark orange heads with faces. -

Today I am not showing Johnny Thunder and his friends but a new faction which appeared in the Egyptian desert: Here we see two Egyptian officials whose duty is to protect the ancient historic sites. But actually we don't know yet whether they are the good guys or the badies ... -

Yes, you're right. I had checked it when I wrote my post and it wasn't there yet. Yes, I noticed that, too. So from now on we have to search by part ID/design ID. Searching by set# isn't reliable any more. -

@lifeinplastic Thank you very much for your comment. As a child of the 1970's I was too old (375 being one of my first Lego sets) and too young as well when the Adventurers arrived. It is only a few years when I came out of my dark ages. -

Thanks. Perhaps wishful thinking on my side as I am looking for dark orange heads. -

I changed the LEGO CMF Series 22 birdwatcher into an adventuress from the 1930 so she fits to Johnny Thunder and his gang. I gave her a pith helmet instead of the cap, changed the left arm to get rid of the modern watch and equipped her with a brown bag. -

Thank you both. Dark orange and nougat seem to be very similar. -

@Clone OPatra Great! Could you please give me the part ID of the lower dark orange head? -
I think the fedora is a bit too big/too blocky for a minifig head. It's from set 41702. @Aurore pointed it out on page 3 of this thread.

With the last years Amelia Earhart set (40450) the minifig parts became available just a few weeks after the release of the set. So I hope it will be the same with the Jane Goodall minifig. -
An adventuress with different hair hat combos (and with a guy to compare the sizes of the minifig fedora hat and the minidolls hair combo with fedora hat):

I agree with that. The new Friends hair combo with fedora hat seems to be a bit too big for the minifig head: the hair part works fine, but the hat part is too big. Just compare it to the minifig fedora hat (right). The ponytail hair piece (in the middle) works fine. The hair combo with pith helmet (left) was introduced with CMF series 13 and reused in the Friends set 41437. That's part ID 6381395 (from set 42137 as it seems). -

@evancelt While partially removing the print, how would you protect the part of the print which is intended to stay? Some masking tape? Any other idea?
-
Yes. I will try to get the torso on BL.
