  1. Ah I misunderstood. I meant it all in a harmless way. Looking forward to the legs and a complete Meca One!
  2. Mine will arrive first as I sent mine of ages ago. Not even the one day less you could get would cancel it out.
  3. I got mine in TRU so you should be fine. I have drooled over that Shotgun, and I'm gonna do something about his weapons at the weekend.
  4. After taking the "We don't need those scum" comment too literally, the droids put all that could be scraped off the walls and placed it into a new suit. FX-7:Nobody will ever notice...
  5. Hello Sarg? Any idea when you will close the contest?
  6. Problem is, Brett, that I live in the UK. Ah well, I've not got any money left anyway.
  7. Looks like we'll need a new super hero to catch the super hero thieves! :P This looks pretty good. There are many ways of doing this and you made a very cool front end. It replaces the gun greatly, and looks simple yet still packs alot of detail. When I get a Batmobile, I'll surely make this mod!
  8. Ah well, something for the future.
  9. Yup. 'Spolilers' do that alot. :-P I tried to pay attention to my chocolate souffle and not the teaser.
  10. It will arrive on August 1st, according to the batman lego site.
  11. Sorry to DP, but this was one awesome episode. Ok, so I didn't like the Science woman. But the story was intruiging, many mysteries unexplained. And the end truly left me waiting for next week. The security guy is stupid too, if I'd been in his position I'd have shot something instead of walking backwards. All in all, can't wait for next week which was spoiled to a certain degree by the 'next week' bit at the end.
  12. For the comics, can I recommend resizing the pics THEN adding text? It would look alot better.
  13. You definately do, Joe my boy, you definately do. If you can't make it to TRU yourself, I'll buy one for you. An interesting detail is that the box is different in the UK to the USA. It does not feature the Limited Edition logo. The box is also off compared to the other robots as it is black and it does not feature a flip up lid.
  14. Why not set it somewhere else? Bluewater store seems to be going well still.
  15. I don't think black would have set off the yellow so its best we have red. I think Blue or Purple would have looked wicked, or even white. Red is still great!
  16. I may do this once someone else has... after all, it does show the fig with legs on the box. EDIT:Done. Should arrive in 10 working days yesterday.
  17. Actually, L2K, I was thinking of the first and second version of your Zaku mech. *sweet* I like the Nano-Robot Suit in your Flickr alot! Much smoother and it just appeals to me more.
  18. Prev: Vader Next: Scooby Doo
  19. Thanks alot guys! I guess its pretty good for the first time I've ever done a review (except of course the Super Nova review, which is just down the list).
  20. I bought the Striking Venom on impulse yesterday after having been impressed by its amazing size in the window display. I wanted to make this into a Covenant Scarab Tank from Halo 2, and the price was very handsome so I went ahead. So, instantly you can recognise the massive size of this beast, which as I said made me really want this set. The impressive Dark Green is a fitting scheme for this set, and really sets it apart from all the others, yet still inkeeping with the dark tones of the other Robot sets. The joints on this set are strong, a major factor when you consider the set. It needs to stay standing, and is very stable despite it's seemingly gaunt appearance. This thin factor is actually a minus from a parts point of view, as some of the areas feel a little bare and unfinished, a contrast to the Super Nova. That said, it fits the set so I'm not complaining too much. The size is incredible and still appears bulky enough. There is a central control center for the main pod, which is manned by two robots who are 'plugged in' in a Matrix style. Meca One sits in his own cockpit, from which he controls the guns mounted near his pod. This is slightly dissappointing as the head cannot move from side to side. Another minus factor is the lack of Meca One legs, but at least he fits into the cockpit. The Striking Venom utilises a clever method or Robot deployment. The robots ride the legs and then go down on harnesses. What goes up... ...Must come down. Another cool feature is the main gun turret which is set dead center of the hulking Quadroped. A Silver Robot Body is mounted with 2 large gattling guns (which sadly do not rotate), a light brick and a new fangled disk shooter, which doesn't really work that well although not as badly as some say. The light brick lights up the eyes of the Robot, a clever idea that works well and adds a certain menace to the set. An interesting point is that the light bricks are more easily connected to the transparent tube in the new wave, a much needed improvement which scores highly with me. So, all is good here. The entire turret is rotated by a little nob on the bottom, which is fairly understated. Turret Detail Little Nob and Underside The figures in this set definately do not fail to please, mainly due to their abundance making more densely packed scenes easy. The only downside is the lack of legs for Meca One, as I said... but this makes little difference if you're into display. So, ratings... Mech: 7/10 Figures: 8/10 Weaponry: 8/10 Overall (average):7.7/10 Overall (gut feeling):7/10 Even with its faults, this is an impressive set which is in place with everything else.
  21. He has always been crazy due to his origins which have close links to Vezok. So I think you're wrong. I think I more plausible theory is that someone or something separated the being that was both Vezok and Vezon into 2 halves, one that turned out cold, calculating and emotionless, the other deranged, emotional and probably impulsive.
  22. I bought the Super Nova today (Review here) which is just wicked cool. I heartily endorse it. I also went to Ikea and bought some groovy Light Up Coasters for my drinks. Snazzy.
  23. Today, while out, I stopped into a TRU to buy this set, which I'd wanted alot since I first saw good pictures. Believe me, the box art does not do this set justice. Super Nova is a very impressive Mech when compared to the human mechs of the original release. It seems more finished. The yellow and red colour scheme is very exciting, and the set is extremely posable with it's wonderful hands. Posable as sin, dodging a laser (from Striking Venom?) A Neutral Pose A Much Improved Cockpit Neutral Pose From The Back Closer Shot of The Back Beautiful Hands "Not a Flying Toy."[/toystory] What Other Mech can Shrug or Tango? "Hey guys? A little help?" The weaonry on this set is generally good, with numerous systems mounted on the mech itself. The removable weapons are quite nice, the red staff being the highlight. Something in the shotgun is... not right. The barrels should be horizontal, but perhaps I'm a little picky. The figure is the same as in Grand Titan, and although I do like Takeshi this one will sit in a parts box. It's not like he has cloned himself like Meca 1 is it? Weaponry Shot 1 Weaponry Shot 2 So, ratings. Mech: 8/10 Figure: 5/10 Weapons: 7/10 Overall (average): 7.4/10 Overall (gut feeling): 8/10 I'd highly recommend this set, as it really sets off the rest of the Exo-Force collection. Nice colours, lots of fun to be had and nicely finished. I don't feel the need to do as many mods yet, which is always good.
  24. Well, I found mine in the London Borough of Brent TRU, where I just happened to be today. They had loads of stuff, and all in all a good LEGO selection. Really nice set, BTW. I'll be doing a review, perhaps.
  25. He was gonna enter it (through me as he doesn't have an account) but he wouldn't have got in which I only just noticed because of the overhang. Meh. Very cool vig, and I like the comic.:)
