I agree! I know people are going to be triggered by this but I don't care: I actually thought Lego City was going to take a break from the police sets this year because those usually come out in the winter waves. Yes, there was a police helicopter with 60462, but I thought it was just going to be left at that. I was actually hoping for more town-related City sets this summer. Considering what we saw during the summer 2023 wave, I was thinking we'd at least see a standalone vet clinic - though I known someone is going to bring up 60380 despite me saying "stand alone". I'd definitely be down for a new airport and a hotel. Instead of a car workshop, I was thinking a mega service center set - complete with snack shop, gas pumps, vehicle inspection/repair bay and automatic car wash. A city plan would've also been nice to have. Perhaps with some other little shops such as a department store, but stop and a post office. Vehicles included could be a post van, a car or two and a bendy bus - yes Imma bring up the bendy bus until they make it. I wonder how the next hospital would look.

....and some of the fire trucks having water shooting pistols instead of ladders and hoses. Lol -

A lot of stuff about City sets feels unrealistic, but I won't get into that topic as I have unintentionally started wars on this forum over that. However, if you were here during the early 2020s, you would've seen a few people around the Lego community whining about not bringing classic space back and this was simply Lego's way of shutting that side of the community up. So in a way.....I kinda understand why they brought martians. Also, this type of space doesn't seem to be based in the city like previous space waves, but rather......far out into the cosmos. -

Another unpopular opinion; City space doesn't feel like real life play anymore. That was kinda unalived when martians were introduced. -

The road baseplates were wide enough too. -
Anyone still playing Lego Racers?

I haven't played that game in ages. I miss the challenge of racing various racers. I think Basil the Batlord and Gypsy Moth were the hardest ones to beat. -

.....and it looks amazing! I love how you made that little dump truck and the small green flatbed truck there. The green flatbed truck kinda reminds me of one of those Mitsubishi Fuso trucks from the 90s. Love the Harry Potter reference on the silver office building there too. But yes, four stud wide is just better through and through. -

I think I'm going to be one of the very few people here to have this opinion, but I miss the four stud wide systems they had for City vehicles as simpler looks were just better for the generic theme. Last time I saw a symblance of four stud wide vehicles was in 2023 with the motorcycle chase and family home. I know Lego may not bring this back to City as the former designer for Speed Champions has taken over the theme. But if the buildable road plates are still being manufactured, I would like them to at least consider bringing four stud wide vehicles back. City is a generic theme after all where simpler vehicles were just better all the way around. If kids wish to have well-designed cars, they can always give Speed Champions a peek or two. -
Yes but I mean one that was made for yellow minifigs.

I wonder when Lego is going to do a hair piece like this. I'd love for a piece like that to be used on some of the females in my town.

Movie theatre anyone? https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/lego/images/d/de/My_city_game_movie_theatre.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20241216023658

I wonder what's in store for summer 2025. I hope they release a proper school building, unlike the one from 2022. Before pictures were revealed in late 2021 and they announced that it would be a two-story building, I actually invisioned the school building that was featured in the 2014 My City game. Boy, was I disappointed.

It would be awesome to get those molds. Animal molds are the reason why most explorers subthemes sold. I say most because we haven't seen the Volcano experts subtheme in ages. I think that was a one and done. Shame because I loved the vehicles. I'm still fighting for an Outback subtheme revival so we can get bearded dragon and kangaroo molds.
