  1. It’s a sad indictment of this line that I looked at all of this and thought “hey, at least we’re getting a Mr Freeze! That could be good!”. Grasping at straws here, but I’ll buy it.
  2. Good point. A boy can dream though….
  3. I don't want to get my hopes up in any realistic way but this Dune news feels like it moves me just one step closer to my white whale of an official LEGO Blade Runner spinner set. I am probably still grasping at straws for that one though….
  4. Man, this came out of nowhere but I could not be more excited. I really dig this film. Hoping they pull this off. There are some amazing MOC ornithopters to compare to.
  5. These are pretty neat sets. However, we now have collectors and minifig scale sets of the Keaton Batmobile and Batwing (and the cave for what it’s worth). I kind of doubt we’ll get the Batski or the Batmissile. So…we might be done with the Keaton sets…? What’s next? We recently got a Collectors and minifig Tumbler so probably not another one of those. Could they finally target BTAS? Is it popular enough to get the same treatment? I guess we’re still missing a collectors ‘66 mobile…
  6. Superb work, and you clearly know your Indy hats!
  7. Whilst I would have preferred (much preferred) an Animated or comics-themed Batcave, I’m pretty intrigued by this. I’m therefore now thinking how fantastic it would be (albeit maybe unrealistic) if we were to get a Max Shreck minifigure. A Christopher Walken LEGO figure would be all kinds of awesome.
  8. I couldn’t have been more excited when the original sets came out 2008. I would’ve killed for Indy LEGO when I was a kid. I’m pretty much at the stage now where I’m gonna buy any sets they out this year even if only to encourage sales and hopefully increase the chance of getting more sets!
  9. I’m kind of not realistically thinking they’ll put a Creeper figure in a set. I appreciate he’s kind of a niche character, but a boy can dream….he’s been my favourite character design for as long as I remember. Number two on my want list would be an official Deadman figure, but that seems pretty much just as unlikely… who am I kidding, I’ll take what they give me!
  10. I'm trying to not get too enthusiastic and start hoping that somehow the Batcave will include a Creeper figure. He's my LEGO white whale.
  11. Superb news. At this stage, if we get offered the usual Batcycle, Batmobile and Batcave, I’ll take them…
  12. I wonder if the issue of not releasing Batgirl in any format is tied up in the tax write-off approach. If WB think that the film won’t clear its own costs (including the marketing costs to come), they instead write it off as a tax loss to make their year-end look better. But, part of qualifying the film as a tax write-off this financial year I assume means they’re unable to release it in any format without retrospectively voiding the tax write-off in the future? (I’m not a tax accountant so this is just my understanding of the idea, and I’m happy to be corrected if I’m wrong).
  13. Superb news! I’ve been crossing my fingers for set remakes. That Mola-Ram figure might be my all time favourite minifigure but I can’t wait to see a re-do.
  14. I don’t know if this has already been covered, but I popped into my local LEGO store today in Edinburgh and they had a handful of Monkie Kid sets on the shelf for the first time since the store opened. They had the Galactic Explorer, Fire Ring, Dragon Car and Staff Creations sets. Those are the first ones I’ve seen on shelves for a long time in the UK. So…not online only at least.
  15. Holy Cow! At last some positive news excellent stuff. I think the classic Batmobile has been “tweaked” for the new film so we should get an updated model hopefully?
  16. Way at the top of my list of LEGO sets I'd most like is an Addams Family mansion. I was really disappointed that despite making it through to the Ideas review stage a couple of times, it didn't get picked. I adore the original paintings and avidly watched the classic tv show as a kid. You can say what you like about the content/plot of the more recent movies, but I do think the character designs were astoundingly good, and that first movie was popular. I was a little surprised the Ideas set didn't make the cut. Oh well. I was certainly hoping that we get more out of the Universal Monsters license than just that single Brickhead figure. I was immediately hoping for a Bride to go with him. It'd be disappointing if LEGO only had some sort of limited license there...
  17. March…..? Well, I guess we’ll find out pretty soon. I wonder if they’ve held another The Batman set until the film releases in March…?
  18. It’s another Batcave, isn’t it…? Boy, I hope it’s something else….
  19. Brickset has a pretty positive review of the City of Lanterns up on their website. As usual, a very thorough review.
  20. Brilliant. This was the first thing that I thought of when I saw the Strat. I'm also very strongly a Tele guy. This is making me re-think whether to not pick up that Strat. Really nice job!
  21. The cartoon is available on Amazon Prime in the UK too, same thing. First season and the introductory movie. The sets still aren’t available through Amazon UK, as expected.
  22. Since Monkie Kid is derived from the same source material as Monkey Magic was, with them now going for the Muppets, LEGO are now essentially mainlining my childhood. Those two show were absolutely my jam. Pigs in Space used to absolutely crack me up, week in, week out. Dr Julius Strangepork was astoundingly funny. Man, if LEGO throw in one of the Pigs in Space team, I'm gold. Still holding out for that Addams Family set though....
