  1. HAHA, thank you very much! maybe you are right! the optimized result and who knows what great mods of you guys is what I am really looking forward to :D
  2. @base_1, thank you I appreciate. I feel sorry for the incomplete model (I wanted to share so badly :D ) maybe I should have waited a week. anyway I updated the parts list+ I had to change the Connection at the corners of the gunnerbays. Now the only missing Brick on Bricklink is the keyboard tile I used at the Mainhold which is strange because I have it. maybe it is the wrong number? If you want to have a look at the updated partslist.csv. for uploading a new model I want to finish instructions first, so it will take a little while.
  3. Hey @base_1 thanks for mention. I try to get rid of the conflict coloures while working on a usable pdf instruction. In most cases I think those bricks are not directly visible thats why I ignored them while Modeling.
  4. Great Design! The Original set looks hilarious next to yours!
  5. I would prefer bricklink for sharing , But if download problems still occur let me know and I will see what to do about an extra upload.
  6. hey @ProvenceTristram, I just tried the download link on Bricklink, worked fine for me, hopefully it works for you aswell later. to your Question: well, stud.io offers an .ldr export, don't now if that works with Lego digital Designer??
  7. @mcphatty, @Kristof, Thank you so much! I appreciate your comments! I did a tiny update to the step order in the model to make the instructions better working. (still not finished but better for steps) update @teos thanks, of course I had a look on plenty of the other designs people worked out. Without those this design would not have been possible! Thank you @Lfm55 you really got. the point! That was what I was hoping to build. A fun and detailed version of the falcon that fits to the common lego set scale. ... although I am afraid I have to Update the Details in all my common Lego Sets now...
  8. Happy Star Wars day! thank you so much for the support. Finally I can present the finished stud.io MOC. As you may noticed, there are some minor updates. I am pretty happy with the result. It also worked out quite well building this in stud.io. I think until i didn't rebuild the Stud.io version in real life (a simple instruction file is in progress ;-)) , there may be hidden conflicts . But I already want to share the file with you: download at bricklink If you like to try yourself I what love to see your modifications! In my opinion this model is still "basic enough" to change or replace certain parts. Now the key facts : Total Bricks: 3335 Demensions : 56 studs long (44,6cm); 41 studs wide (32,8cm) and 27 studs high (22,2cm) Pictures: stifos - Millennium Falcon - overview side by sti fos, auf Flickr stifos - Millennium Falcon - overview front-back by sti fos, auf Flickr stifos - Millennium Falcon - overview bottom/top by sti fos, auf Flickr More pictures at my flickr album: stifos - millennium falcon 2.0
  9. A little sneak peek of what the final design will look like! Fortunately, I got the surface details working much faster then I thought. So much fun to play around with alternatives when you have infinite bricks in all colors without waiting for Bricklink orders :D. But I didn't expected the two designs being that much similar, besides the details. Still not finished because I am going to check the inner structure and strength before coming to an end with this. 10. Hey there! Because of changes in the structure und the surface of the underside I had to redesign the landing gear. the old landing gear was quite fragile. Hope you like the new version. have a look: Millennium Falcon MOC-Landing Gear LDD by sti fos, auf Flickr
  11. This weekend I got a little further with the interior. @mcphatty, thanks for the Cockpit idea. I think it works very well! Millennium Falcon LDD - Interior (WIP) by sti fos, auf Flickr To answer your question: the strength of the moc is pretty good in the center part, I tried to strengthen the outerparts/Dockingbay in the LDD. I guess I have to rebuild the part to see how it works. I also rebuilt the bottom view to fill some last gaps. Millennium Falcon LDD (WIP) - Bottom View by sti fos, auf Flickr Now the fun part: Detailing the surface. Hopefully I can find enough time during the week.
  12. Wow! Thank you so much guys! Thanks Daddy_Stardust! Actually the C-3PO is a custom one I got from etsy.com. If you like I can try to look what‘s the sellers name and send you a pm. Mcphatty! Thats a great design! Thank you very much. I will definitly try how this works out in my design! And yes i‘m thinking of Sharing the stud.io file (maybe even get the file ready to be able to Export an instructions at some point). I still have to do some redesign and detailing but I would Love to see how this one can develope when others put their hands on.
  13. Hey There, a tiny update on my progress of rebuilding this model in studio to fix some issues which still exist in the first moc. I reworked the inner structure to offer a little more hight insight. The model is a about 2-3studs higher now, 2270 bricks so far. You may notice at the little redesign of the docking bay. I also redesigned the bottom. I still have to do the interior, landing gear an boarding ramp. And of course all the details on the side of the surface and at mandibles. Hope you like it! 14. Looks great! I Love the playable size. Thanks for sharing instructions!
  15. Thank you guys! I am very happy that you like my creation. So here are some pictures from the Interior. Again the Interior is very much inspired by Kit Bricksto und Inthert! here You go: Millennium Falcon Interior by sti fos, auf Flickr Millennium Falcon Interior 01 by sti fos, auf Flickr Main Hold by sti fos, auf Flickr " ..Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good Blaster" by sti fos, auf Flickr Main Corridor by sti fos, auf Flickr Main Corridor by sti fos, auf Flickr Crew Quaters by sti fos, auf Flickr Number Three Hold by sti fos, auf Flickr Thank you, i have absolutely no clue how many pieces I put into this baby. But actually I started to build a LDD version to be able to recreate it in future time. There will be some updates in the Details aswell.
  16. Thank you very much! I would like to make the front-center underside the same stud-down like the back part. Indeed i try to copy much from the UCS and the mods in this Forum! Thank you! I saw the turrets at Kit Bricksto‘s vip First i think.... the flex tubes I used to make the access bays look a little smaller in size.
  17. Parts that are still not working out for me are: the feet which are not stable yet a good working Cockpit seats for the turret guns for the moment i ran out of Lego and stopp building but I am quite happy with the result for now and i would love to know what you guys think about this one the Millennium Falcon family by sti fos, auf Flickr front view by sti fos, auf Flickr right side by sti fos, auf Flickr left side by sti fos, auf Flickr Back View 2 by sti fos, auf Flickr top side by sti fos, auf Flickr MOC vs 7965 Top View by sti fos, auf Flickr MOC vs 7965 Bottom View by sti fos, auf Flickr some detail shots: Detail Mandabiles by sti fos, auf Flickr Cockpit by sti fos, auf Flickr Boarding Ramp by sti fos, auf Flickr Docking Ring by sti fos, auf Flickr Detail Back/Vents by sti fos, auf Flickr
  18. Millennium Falcon III - Cover by sti fos, auf Flickr Hey there! long time no see! check the pictures of latest version and Instructions with this post: Millennium Falcon III - vertical stand by sti fos, auf Flickr ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Content of 2019 For Download and INSTRUCTIONS (2019) see this POST stifos - Millennium Falcon - Brickbuilt by sti fos, auf Flickr stifos - Millennium Falcon - overview side by sti fos, auf Flickr download model on page 2 Hey there! finally I am able to share my first Lego MOC. Which started as modding the original 7965 Set ended up a with a little more changes than expected. first of All big credits to Kit Bricksto (did the Falcon ever finish?) , Inthert (Systemscale and interior), Joerg Kuehni (Mandibles), Fenk512(docking rings) which inspired me most and many of their details ended up in this Falcon. I also love to see what people do in the great UCS Millennium Falcon Mod Topic. Well, the reasons for choosing the Falcon in systemscale are quite simple: Not enough Money for the UCS; Not even enough Space in my flat for the size of the UCS and I wanted to fit the Falcon to the other Lego sets I own from back in the days. So I try to stick with the original size. I know there are proportions that don’t really fit, e.g. the size of the window at the gun turrets or the size of the access bays of the mandibles… But in the end I wanted to get the most iconic details into this one so this is how i dealt with it. I also began with the interior which i will upload later.
