It’s because you were giving the list to someone who wanted to be updated on the latest leaks and rumors that I felt the need to bring it up. Because it didn’t include all the rumored figures to appear and ignored the two per house hint (which is the most concrete clue we’ve gotten so far) it would be rather misleading to someone who wasn’t keeping track of this thread and the #legoleaks tag on Instagram. I was simply trying to clarify and help provide more complete information.

Kingnono actually hasn’t outright stated any characters will specifically appear in the CMF. He’s just hinted that a bunch of characters will appear this year - specifically: the polyjuiced trio (specifically Harry as Goyle), Sirius Black, Ollivander, Madam Pomfrey, Lockhart, Rita Skeeter, Lucius Malfoy, and ‘another Tom’, plus Molly, Ginny, and Tonks who all showed up in the Burrow but could easily all appear in other places as well. Obviously some of these characters are expected to show up in the CMF because they simply wouldn’t fit anywhere else, but the only hint that kingnono has specifically given about the characters in the CMF is that there will be at least two members from each house, which is why no list of theories can claim to be a proper compilation of the current rumors without taking that into account.
-
Yore forgetting that kingnono also said we’d get at least two characters from each house, and later clarified that this was based off both facts and fan theories. Since there’s no need to bring up fan theories unless at least one of the required two isn’t canonically confirmed I suspect that Rita Skeeter will be the only ‘true Slytherin’ other than Bellatrix to be in the CMF, with the slot you have Lucius in going to the second Hufflepuff (probably OotP Tonks). Kingnono has stated Lucius will appear but taking into account his other hints it will probably be in the D2C or possibly the as yet unknown retailer exclusive. (Likewise, Lockhart has been outright stated to appear but also has a chance of showing up in the D2C, putting that slot of the CMF into question, although unlike Lucius he has a chance at showing up in both).

It could go either way honestly. I think the biggest obstacle for that though is that Padma was changed to a Gryffindor in the movies and the trio of Ravenclaw boys in the DA were cut, so that really limits the named Ravenclaw students that could be included.
-
That seems to be the working theory now that we know a minifigure pack is a possibility.
-
Wicked... And honestly, it would clear up some confusion about the set name (i.e. if it’s specific students why aren’t they properly named like every other brickheadz? And if the speculation about it being a customizable student right then why is the set name plural instead of singular like the bride and groom?). My wallet will weep if it turns out a set I thought I didn’t care about is actually something I might want multiples of, but it will be so cool if that’s what it is. Edit: Now that I think about it, this could also explain the Luna in the Room of Requirement set. I’d wondered why they gave her a unique torso in a set that otherwise would be prime army building fodder, but if they knew that a generic Ravenclaw torso was being made available in a minifigure pack then they could afford to have some fun and give Luna her butter beer cork necklace.
-
That would be amazing actually - a minifigure four pack of uniformed students is probably the holy grail of Harry Potter fan wishlists (quidditch ones are up there too, but I think we all recognize that generic students would have to come first). If that is the case I can only hope the side builds are classroom desks and materials instead of more great hall tables. Just out of curiosity, why was the Marvel one mistaken for brickheadz? Were the set numbers in the same sequence?

Sirius and the twins are almost certainly in the advent calendar and D2C instead of the CMF. Don’t forget that along with Madam Pomfrey and the polyjuiced trio kingnono has also outright stated we’ll get Rita Skeeter and heavily implied we’ll get another version of Tonks (well, we know there’s at least two of each house in the CMF so unless it’s a very random student...)
-
That would actually make some sense, especially since Fred and George are hinted at specifically - that could refer to the fact that they’re part of the minifigure lineup as a whole or the exclusive minifigures specifically. I could definitely see us getting two versions of the trio with at least one being reprints, plus a bunch of characters like the twins, a Lockhart variation, and some goblins being completely new.

The MoM is 100% underground, and the movie designers wanted to make sure people didn’t forget that, so they used subway tiles everywhere. The inferi cave is also underground, it’s entrance is at the base of a cliff. As for the Chamber of Secrets there’s a lot of reasons I don’t think that’s likely - the most prominent of which is that if the designers had been working on a Chamber set for this year they would have chosen a different exclusive minifigure for the book that’s coming out. All in all, given the rumored $50 price point (based off calculations made after kingnono posted the cost of the entire wave), I think the Ministry battle is the most likely.

F1 makes me think of the function keys on a computer (you know, those ones at the top of the keyboard that hardly anyone uses). Apparently the F1 key is a general help key in most programs. Not sure if that’s anymore helpful though.

Ugh, none of the anagram unscramblers I can find will work on a phrase that long, and it’s way too late where I am to try doing it by hand right now. Maybe it is a traditional riddle though? The phrase itself definitely has more of a brain teaser feel to it then the last anagram’s random gibberish, and most anagram makers won’t give you names like that.
-
Yeah, it would be a fairly long anagram but I imagine the Thorsten thing is a coincidence. Are the old 2014 Quidditch Cup ‘articles’ even still available on the official sites?
-
Is it another acronym? I noticed that ‘Torben’ has almost all the letters from ‘Norbert’ but that could be a coincidence.

When it comes to creatures it bears remembering that HBP probably has the fewest creatures of any movie (or book). I think the only living creatures we see on screen in the movie are Pygmy Puffs and a couple seconds cameo of Fawkes flying away, so it’s not really surprising that the HBP sets don’t have anything in the way of creatures. Lego has compensated by making the OotP sets really animal/creature heavy and giving us a parliament of owls in the others.

I’m still scratching my head over what Günther could mean if it’s not a red herring. I don’t think it could be referring to QQS because if he wanted to refer to that location while all the other names are characters then why wouldn’t he use Gwenog instead and have a clue more people would recognize?
-
It’s definitely a possibility - we’ve got 7 unconfirmed characters left and kingnono’s hints only really lock in 6, with the possibilities for the last slot being: - Either of the Ginny variations you described (since that would mesh with the 2, 5, and 6 getting the most slots) - Kreacher - any of a number of Lockhart variations (kingnono has outright said we’ll be getting a Lockhart but hasn’t confirmed if he’s in the CMF, D2C, or both)
-
It’s possible, but that could easily just have been referring to Bellatrix or Gringotts, the first of which we’ve already seen in a set and the latter of which we all pretty much suspect will feature in the D2C. And I personally think it’s more likely we’ll get the dragon escape as a separate set next year as opposed to it being crammed into the D2C.
-
You’re right, I got the exact wording wrong. Given that kingnono later clarified that ‘gang is meant to be gang’ (notably in the same post that talked about us getting both sides of polyjuice potion) I think Crabbe and Goyle were still implied, since Malfoy’s little group is the only one commonly referred to as a ‘gang’ (unless we get some of Dudley’s friends, but that seems unlikely to the extreme).
-
You’re forgetting kingnono’s hints about us getting both sides of polyjuice and ‘the gang’s all here’ - suggesting that we’re getting Harry and Ron polyjuiced as Crabbe and Goyle (and presumably the matching Cat Hermione as well)
-
given that kingnono also hinted that ‘we will get at least two from every house’ ‘based on facts and fan theories’ I think it’s safe to say we’ll get OotP Tonks, since Hufflepuff and Slytherin are the only two houses who don’t have at least two characters on the already leaked package and there aren’t a lot of Hufflepuffs to choose from. With that in mind I suspect the line up will be (bold is confirmed, italics is theorized): 1. PS/SS - Dumbledore 2. CoS - [also Dumbledore] - Moaning Myrtle - Professor Sprout - Harry polyjuiced as Goyle - Ron polyjuiced as Crabbe - Cat Hermione - Madam Pomfrey 3. PoA - Neville w/ Monster Book 4. GoF - [also Myrtle] - Rita Skeeter 5. OotP - Bellatrix (prison robes) - Kingsley Shacklebolt - Tonks 6. HBP - Harry w/ Prince’s Book - Luna (quidditch fan) 7. DH - Griphook There is one spot left which could theoretically be Lockhart, but since he has a decent chance of showing up in Diagon Alley that’s not a certain as the other characters kingnono has hinted at for the CMF. I don’t think we’ll be getting Lucius or Draco in this series. Kingnono specifically cited fan theories as being part of the ‘two from each house’ clue. With no characters I can think of that fans consistently sort into Hufflepuff enough for it to be a valid clue, that leaves Slytherin. And while we are theoretically getting Crabbe and Goyle, these would technically be polyjuiced Gryffindors, necessitating the fan sorted Rita Skeeter to fill the place of the second Slytherin alongside Bellatrix. The fan theories comment simply isn’t needed if there’s another canon Slytherin in the series. This doesn’t affect (Ravenclaw) Lockhart, but it does mean that most of the other characters kingnono hinted at alongside him are appearing in sets and not the D2C, so there’s still the possibility of a wildcard.
-
That’s what I think too. Doesn’t seem to be doing anything other that reiterating that the advent calendar is OotP based, unless he’s saying that the exclusive minifigures are based off the characters appearances in that scene.
-
I’ve been wondering whether we won’t get it in the advent calendar. We got a ridiculously detailed version of Harry’s Hogwarts letter in last year’s after all, and with this year’s calendar allegedly being OotP themed and presumably including Sirius it wouldn’t be a bad place to turn up.
-
In addition to the 9 minifigures leaked on the package image, kingnono has stated that all four houses receive at least two minifigures in the CMF. He later clarified that those numbers were based off facts and fan theories. We already know there are two each of Gryffindor and Ravenclaw from the leaked package, so that leaves Hufflepuff and Slytherin. And there aren’t many Hufflepuffs left to do besides OotP Tonks. I suspect the fan theories reference is to Rita Skeeter, who kingnono has specifically hinted at in other posts, and doesn’t have an official house even though most fans consider her a Slytherin, and I can’t think of any unassigned characters that are consistently sorted into Hufflepuff by the fandom.

Nope. The CMF series 1 Luna is wearing her outfit from the Hogwarts Express at the beginning of HBP.
