[MOC] Isengard and Tower of Orthanc (LOTR)
baublitz replied to -DoNe-'s topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Gorgeous, no buzz yet!? Quite attractive to behold. How does it compare to the original LEGO model, do you have that one too? The footprint looks nice and space-saving, too. -
Good topic. What kind of price per poundage can one expect for one of these little BST shops?
-
I didn't have a set, per se, but a nice ol bin of antiques. Little castle men, horses, dragons, and a few random Star Wars sets like the green speeder from episode I. https://brickipedia.fandom.com/wiki/7124_Flash_Speeder

Giving me old official space set vibes, but the red adds a unique touch vs the green. Well done!

2013-ish, and anything with the clone wars era. So rare, so fun, so nostalgic.

Dang, you even have a little landing gear. Good work! How man pieces are left over? -
[MOC] "Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?"

Excellent! I love the use of studs for the crowd. Nice mix of colorful and serious. -
I do have the B-Project instructions and model + lighting kit available for anyone interested!

This is so epic, well done!!! It feels so active. At first glance it reminded me of the battle of Moria, Fellowship vs the goblins and troll.

SB00301 B-PROJECT (MOC Resistance Bomber UCS)
baublitz replied to StarBricks's topic in LEGO Star Wars
What a nice trip down memory lane, reading through this thread. Good work and perseverance, @William_Marshall! Once again I officially post my intent to sell the project. If anyone has any venues or potential buyers, or you yourself are interested, please send me a message. I have all the parts, instructions, lighting kit, every last glorious bit. -
Totally missed this. I only have the B project. Let me know if you are interested in this!
-
I'm so sorry I missed your reply. I will send a PM just to keep the thread clean.

This is so awesome, congrats on the release and the boom in popularity! Raise your price a bit. 🙂 You deserve it. For those who do not own the venator yet, is there a point in the instructions where we can pick up on your MOC, and then resume building with the official instructions? I do see your instructions are geared toward people who are already have the set built.
-
You've done this set justice. Do you think you would do Anakin and Obi-Wan's starfighters? Or any other similar fighters? Definitely bookmarking your instructions.
-
This is a tremendous solution for those in need of a smaller collection. You've packed so much detail than I could have imagined in such small packages.
-
Very SNOT, I like it a lot! What % of any of the original sets does it use, if any?
-
Reverse intention here, I have the B-Project (Bomber) full set of parts, instructions, tile, lighting kit etc. and am wondering how to enter the market. I'm not sure if the B-Project manual is available from Mirko or not still, so maybe best to try there first before considering a secondhand set.
-
Maybe there are more factors at play, but compared to the release of the Millennium Falcon a few years ago, I was definitely "oh yeah I gotta keep the collection growing and grab every (UCS) set! To more of a "ugh, they really want another $800 for this and $500 for that, and they did what!? to the design??" Maybe I was jaded, but now I'm definitely much more selective in my purchases.
-
This is tremendous, keep going. This forum is the reason I'm pushed off the edge into great sets like this.

Happy new year all! Any new pictures of anyone else from the fleet? Are all the manuals sold? I always look upon this set with awe and wonder. Other reason for posting: and I hate to even be asking such a question, but has anyone had experience selling something like this? Life circumstances are causing me to downsize my LEGO collection, especially the large items such as this. It seems on ebay or local platforms that most buyers would not know the complexity and quality of such an ultimate LEGO creation. -

Right, as @coreyschaaf said, it is minifig scale. Just goes to show you how big of a ship it is! And I believe all the models on the top shelf there are minifig scale. I've had other UCS that are not too minifig scale and they just aren't for me. I also understand it's not plausible for certain ships, such as the star destroyer. Are you going to build the B project? -

To be fair, they did wait until after the holidays when Mirko said he might get to it. It has been at least since November that they originally inquired. Is it unreasonable to ask for an update now that it's January? Now the real reason I popped in is that I just reassembled my B-project after a move. I wanted to commend Mirko on how robust this model is! I fit it into a large tote and plastic wrapped the main modules, then put the smaller assemblies into little plastic totes. Took me an hour or two to rebuild it. Definitely the jewel of the collection! -

Fellow builders, as I receive shipments most is going well but I wanted to compare with you all. For my Slope, Curved 2 x 1, 11477, Flat Silver the injection molding seems to have quite the swirl / discoloration. I can sort of see it in the official images from Mirko, but can you all also confirm your flat silver pieces look like this (or not)? Thanks! Sorry, you must click the link to see, can't figure out how to embed the imgur pic. https://imgur.com/a/itbWhd6 -

Got mine last week. Also, I have 3 or 4 packages that are several days late. The season of lost / late packages is in full swing! -
