With the Energon Universe allegedly getting a well-deserved TV show, this is a very real possibility. That said, given some of the events in the comics and Robert Kirkman being, well, the guy behind The Walking Dead and Invincible, it might not be something lego's comfortable making sets for. They could probably get away with a T rating if the show's primarily adapting his run on transformers, but even then, that one Starscream kill on a human will have to be toned down. And either way, they'd have to use the lego fortnite treatment on the joes- a lot of the vehicles are fine, but Duke'd have to be out here with either comically large rocket launchers or, like, walkie-talkies to take out Cobra. Void Rivals would make some excellent sets, but it's also got the least name recognition, being a new IP.

LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!

This feels like most of 1HY- there might be 1 or two missing but I can't imagine this is all really just January, unless they've gotten rid of the march and (besides the UCS) may waves. It's not impossible the AT-AT and Crest are downsized significantly. I could easily see them being on this list, unfortunately, in which case the gingerbread AT-AT might be a good look at what's coming next year. Lego rarely does $100+ sets in 1HY besides the May UCS, even those $90 and $100 price points are farther than we've seen in awhile for 1HY system sets. I'd love for this to be the start of a comeback for the theme where we're inundated with a big chunk of system sets in January, but unfortunately I don't think that's the case. I think we're getting a little bump from the mando movie, but I think this is probably most of the 1HY sets in general. -

NOOT NOOT I agree in general but now I need to know if stabbing yourself with the superman mech is speaking from personal experience. I remember cutting my foot open on the destiny's bounty as a kid. This is true- there might be a bevy of strange choices here, and this might still be far less than most themes get, but it's improvement. It's a step onto the correct path. It depends on whether or not there's enough fan demand. I assume Arkham actually being figure scale is some sort of litmus test for if this sort of thing- you know, typical lego sets rather than 18+ buildable- can do well for DC at this point. If it does well I'm sure we'll see more down the line, and I'm also sure that 2026's 1HY sets (my guess is generic comic batmobile, 4+ Batwing, and a Jonkler Mech) will re-use arkham prints. -

As others have said this is a double edged sword, as then our only Hush/Mad Hatter/etc would be in a jumpsuit. Though I do think choosing croc and bane is almost laughably ironic seeing as they're two characters who are known for being superhumanly big and built. I've seen a number of Arkham games/movies/comics/etc where the jumpsuits, much like many prison jumpsuits in real life, are, well, jumpsuits, and not so loose that you can't tell what gender the wearer is. Emotional support mask. It's like Zodiac in marvel, he won't cooperate with prion psychiatrists unless he's wearing a mask. That said, as with the F4 suits, lego has no issue with weird hand situations resulting from this- poor Ben is somehow wearing gloves INSIDE his hands. Yes, Yes, No Comment, Probably Not. -

This set is $200, when the last one was larger and (even AFTER adjusting for inflation) only $130. I don't know where the win you're seeing is here. (Also, I hate to bear even more bad news, but you really think this won't be in a black box?) Exactly. I've spoken before about how detailing can and should be improved even if it increases set cost, but there's no level of detailing that'll cause a 54% price increase AND downsizing on top of it. Unless this thing is on a big diorama base with the log trap or actually straight up walks, I don't see the value. -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
Mandalorianknight replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
@CloneCommando99 I like the idea of mcquarrie minifigures for the 50th anniversary of the franchise, a very thematic way to get desirable figures that couldn't be in normal sets. I talked about this in the other thread, but here's my revised concept for evergreen sets- sets that would stay on shelves, or at least on lego.com/amazon.com, at all times: Millennium Falcon ($139.99): Slightly downsized from the Evil Falcon, but with the same technique to prevent gaps in the roof. (The falcon is one of those playsets that I think has actually gotten too big, there's so much empty interior space inside those). Comes with Han Solo (ANH), Chewbacca, Princess Leia (ANH), Luke Skywalker (Farmboy), C-3PO, R2-D2, Old Ben Kenobi, Grand Moff Tarkin, and a Stormtrooper Commander. Imperial TIE Fighter Inspection ($64.99): TIE Fighter (slightly larger than 2021 version) with scaffolding to get the pilot down and a small maintenance area with a crane, tiny repair vehicle that can be moved around, and a command post. Comes with 1x TIE Pilot, Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, an Imperial Crewman, and 2x Stormtrooper. Luke Skywalker's X-wing Adventures ($59.99): Slightly larger and with a different s-foil function than the 2021 version. Comes with Luke Skywalker (Pilot), R2-D2, Yoda, Lando (blue cape), and Wedge. The box advertises different scenarios- meeting Wedge in the hoth hanger, training with Yoda on Dagobah, or visiting Lando at Cloud City. Jedi Starfighter vs Vulture Droid ($54.99): Anakin's ETA-2 and a Vulture Droid. Comes with Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Ahsoka Tano (All in their TCW S3-5 outfits), as well as Count Dooku and General Grievous. Poe Dameron's X-wing ($49.99): Poe's Black One x-wing (about the size of the 2021 rebel X-wing) with Poe Dameron, BB-8, Rey, Finn, and Kylo Ren. The Mandalorian's Starfighter ($39.99): Downsized from that giant last one we got. Comes with The Mandalorian, Baby Yoda, Bo-Katan, R5-D4, and Moff Gideon. Clone Trooper Attack ($34.99): AT-RT and BARC speeder (accurately scaled) with a dwarf spider droid and droidika. Comes with Captain Rex, Commander Cody, a 501st clone trooper, a 212th clone trooper, 2x b1 battle droids, and 2x b2 battle droids. The clones have both P1 and P2 helmets. -

I think it's the best option we have, and works out pretty nicely. (The gap in the armor for the 4 symbol, the shoulders helping hide how weird his arms look with the hulk hands on and making it just seem like he's got thicker arms overall) It's still not something that would get me to buy the figure, though, as big of a fan of Thing as I am. -

See I don't want this either, though, because then kids in those years can't get clones without turning to secondhand sources, which many of them don't know about or aren't allowed to use. I just think the clone content needs to be spaced out more. Mustafar and Palpatine's Arrest both would have been day 1 buys from me. We need more of this, in my opinion. More sets that stick around for longer than the typical UCS set. IMO there should be a falcon, X-wing, and TIE that are produced for at least 5 years or so containing the main OT cast. (Similarly, I think there should be a TFA Poe's X-wing with Rey/Finn/Poe/BB8/Kylo that's kept around. For the prequels I don't think there's any one singular ship that's at that level, but I'd do what they've been doing with the jedi starfighters where there's always either an eta or delta on shelves, and then I'd keep A clone battle pack on shelves at all times, just swapping out which legion/the sidebuild every few years. That's actually pretty concerning to me. The rumored price- pre any possible US changes- is $200. The last one was $80 in 2006, or about $130 2025 dollars. That's a $70 difference. I get the smaller/more detail tradeoff. I get the more expensive/more detail tradeoff. A 54% post-inflation price increase AND it's smaller- there's no level of detailing that would make that math work out value wise IMO, especially for something like the AT-ST that has fairly large smooth grey segments on it. -

I am confident on most of them, as well as one other. It's not my information to give (I puzzled out the one other myself, but I got it confirmed so I can't say what it is), but trust me, at least for the first half of the year it doesn't seem like lego's planning on a course correct. That is, of course, a major part of the problem. So much of the line is now dedicated to 18+ buildable, a trend that is not going away next year. There's clearly a market for it, and many of the sets are very solid- I adore that midi Falcon- but they take up so much of the availible store shelf space that there's not much room for much else. I mean this isn't just little gaps in collections or things like TBOBF's finale falling through the cracks, this is the foundation of the franchise going what (assuming there isn't a 1HY surprise) almost two years without a playset. It's the sequels not getting a single playset (with the exception of the holiday diorama), since the movies ended. Even within the prequels, the most well covered era, there are pretty significant gaps. If you aren't Mandalorian, a new project, or can't tie yourself to Jango's DNA, it's a losing fight to get a playset on shelves. -

Secondhand, maybe. I just went on the lego website, and non-UCS sets that include heroes from the original three films are: Desert Skiff- Luke, Han (white shirt/blind), Chewie Pilot Mech - Luke That's it. If a kid goes on lego.com today, he or she straight up cannot get Leia. Once the skiff retires, there won't be any Hans or Chewies either. (Or Old Ben, who I don't consider a character version that needs to be on shelves, but we'll be thorough.) If it seemed like we were getting some new OT sets next year, this wouldn't bother me as much, but from the 1HY leaks for 2026 it seems like we're going with the same strategy as 2025. It seems pretty likely that children won't be able to get any of the main OT heroes by the end of next year. (The Imperials fair better with Stormtrooper in two sets and Vader's figure being readily availible, but I should note you can't currently get Papa Palpatine, and of course we haven't seen Tarkin in almost a decade) And let's be clear, because people like to play this game where saying stuff like this means you secretly hate the other parts of the franchise and don't want them to be represented in any capacity ever, this is an even worse situation for the ST, where you just can't get any characters, and haven't been able to for some time unless it was BB-8, or holiday sweaters for Rey and Finn. I actually don't like the sequels much- TFA is the only one I really enjoy- but there should be at least something out there besides Babu Frik. The prequels are faring the best overall, as a result of being the part of the franchise clones are from, but they still have a few omissions. The heroes are all at least availible in system sets- shockingly including Padme for once. (I was going to say we don't have any villains, but that isn't really the case- obviously Maul is out there, but in August we'll have Jango and Ventress as well.) Still, Dooku and Grievous are major characters who should have shown up more recently than they have (I mentioned this about dooku a few pages ago). I think it's possible, but I also wonder if they wouldn't have already done it for the evil falcon if they planned on it. I feel it's also fairly likely the next falcon is just our first $199.99 standard retail SW set. It's possible, but there are zero standard OT system sets this year, just figureless 18+ gimmick sets and the UCS. Given that 1HY of next year appears to be more of the same, I don't have much faith that there's a miracle switch in the 2HY. Not when they still have the Wolfpack and 41st legion to build the wave around. The desert skiff will hang on shelves awhile longer and lets you get Luke and Chewie, as well as a variant of Han and Lando (though I wouldn't consider these standard outfits for them) but it's still crazy, no? Aside from the pilot suit in the mech you've got one set to get any of the OT cast from unless you're shelling out hundreds on UCS, and there doesn't appear to be anything in line to keep them availible once the skiff retires, which is what I've been saying. Also, this has reminded me that there are indeed no OT imperial troopers in this year's calendar, making 2025 either the first time ever or the first time in 25 years without a single OT imperial trooper in a system set this year. -

The jumpsuits being identical is disappointing- it's an exact repeat of the F4 set issue where lego decides that human men, women, and irrevocably cursed men with armored skin all have the same body type. Like it's one thing for lego to cut costs by removing the male/female body type- it's dumb, but at least you can just headcanon that "oh, they're just really loose-fit", but then you're gonna tell me that Harley or Joker's outfits fit the same as Killer Croc? -

Because lego unironically hates us and is giving us the worst robin in a suit we can't use for any others. It's the same reason we have Batwoman and Batwing instead of, like, Nightwing and Red Hood, or Spoiler and Signal or something. (In all seriousness I assume it's either the designers recognizing that the only people buying this are diehards who likely already have a robin, and wanted to provide something new, or it's because they just googled "robin current comic suit 202_" and used the first result) This is surprisingly better than I expected. I assume Freeze is a repeat, but that's still three new villain costumes. The jumpsuit having leg printing makes sense to me. With one new leg print you can have leg printing on 6 new characters. I hope there's at least 2 torso designs, ideally a third for Bane and Croc- Harley Quinn, Joker, and Bane share wildly different body types. But I assume they'll pull an F4 "Human male=human female=guy made of rocks" and it'll be one print used on all of them. Honestly, given I'm not going to drop hundreds of dollars just to get a robin, sure, I don't really care that it's a less iconic variant instead of the classic red and green. I got lucky enough to find the one from the deathstroke set in a bulk lot, and it might be my favorite robin design they've done, so I'm personally just fine robin-wise. But still. Lego. Kids should be able to get ahold of Robin. -

Yeah I think that implies lego as of last year had no plans for an ROTJ falcon (or minifig Fallen Order/survivor sets...) It's been long enough that the new system falcon, which I doubt we see until 2027, should probably just be the stock ANH one. Which would dovetail nicely with the anniversary- I don't think we should be celebrating every time a project has been around another 5 years, but the 50th is a pretty big deal. ...I don't understand this reaction to "there's a good chance none of the main hero characters from the literal backbone of the franchise will be availible for under $1000 by the end of next year" I never said everyone should prefer the OT. I simply pointed out that there's a good chance not a single OT hero will be availible in a sub $1000 set by the end of 2026, which I think is a pretty understandable thing to be concerned about. I've argued before that the main prequel cast should be more readily availible. I've said before we need the main sequel cast to show up in a set or two. This isn't some sort of OT favoritism thing (Though let's be clear- the OT SHOULDN'T be forgotten. It IS the backbone of the franchise, it's why star wars exists and is successful at all, and the majority of well-recieved disney era projects (Rogue One, Mando, Andor) draw heavily from it.), this is pointing out that the main heroes of an entire third of the franchise could soon become unobtainable from official sources unless you've got a full grand of spending money burning a hole in your pocket. The AT-ST is, for all intents and purposes, a UCS set, so I wouldn't be surprised if it took awhile longer for images to appear. -

Welcome back! I thought the Punisher news would have you popping back up. I wouldn't say it's a certainty or anything- Spider-Man 4 probably won't have too many heroes, whereas Doomsday I think has over 50 by now (and deadpool hasn't featured in any of the leaks I've seen)- but it certainly isn't impossible, especially after lego's been maneuvered into a situation where they can now produce a "lemme tell you sumthin red" figure. If Deadpool was smart about this he'd make sure to pilot a mech or drive a bright red deadpool car in doomsday. -

I'm not even going to dignify this sentiment with further response, everyone else is doing an excellent job explaining how utterly absurd this argument is. Though he's getting what he wants it seems, as at least for 1HY there are no leaks I've seen about sets that would include Lando... or Han, or Luke, or Chewbacca, or Leia, or a Stormtrooper... If the theme continues the way it's going, by the end of next year the only way to get any non-vader member of the main OT cast directly from lego will be to spend almost a thousand dollars. -

Vader had 8 minutes of screen time in a new hope. Don't pretend you need hours of screen time to be an important character. (Also, I don't feel the need to do the exact math on this, but luke has 63 minifigures, so I gurantee you he's got a similar "figures to OT screen time ratio" to Lando- which, by the way, is an absurd metric you've created.) If you currently want Lando in something other than his skiff disguise, which, you know, is a disguise and not what he's really known for wearing, you're completely out of luck from lego themselves. If you want his signature look, the famous cloud city blue costume with a post 2003 design aesthetic, I guess you could just shell out $180 minimum on bricklink. For a single used minifigure. Too much? His general outfit is "only" $45. This probably comes off as a bit aggressive, but don't come out here with this argument that, what, lando doesn't deserve to be readily availible? He's some sort of minor character? -

I can think of one other character that was included in every Arkham set. If Jarro shows up he WILL be a print on a 1x1 clear round brick, we all know it's coming. What is the legality of this play feature in general? There are only three situations I can see wherein Bruce has a legal basis for essentially kidnapping her: 1. Ivy was detained whilst attempting to break into the batcave and the GCPD have been contacted for pickup/for batman to drop her off 2. Ivy was detained elsewhere as a fugitive of the law or whilst committing a crime, but there was sufficient evidence the GCPD was compromised and Batman had to hold her before delivering her to federal authorities. 3. Bruce Wayne owns a private prison beneath Wayne Manor and all the forms are in order. Ivy was captured elsewhere and legally transferred in. Of course, if this is 60s batman, a deputized officer of the law, we can assume the batcave is considered a police station of some kind, and therefore holding Ivy inside is perfectly above board. TLDR, we are criminals, Alfred, we've always been criminals. Except for Adam West. -

Ideas takes forever, my preferred strategy is forgetting the set exists, failing to budget for it, and then missing my chance to buy it. No, no, no. Batsignal would at least have been an interesting suit design and a likeable character (At least from, like, the four panel scans I've seen of him alongside the Wayne Family webcomic my brother reads). Batwing is like the blandest possible choice. The fact that his torso and legs leaked via being placed on a batman is the perfect example of this. You could easily have told me that was the new batsuit and I wouldn't have batted (hah) an eye. There are so many jokes I could make about the set including 2 officer Balls, but I'll leave it be. I think a lot of the jumpsuited characters are being done so they're able to get away with re-uses. I wouldn't be surprised if Ivy didn't have a single exclusive part and was just some redheaded woman in a jumpsuit. (And since I know it's coming, no, @BrickBob Studpants, that doesn't make her Mara Jade) I'm gonna be real here, I don't know how popular this is, but I don't. They're my two least favorite members of the batfamily. Characters that would have been better inclusions then them: Nightwing Red Hood Drake Whatever stupid name Damien goes by besides robin, don't lie to me, they have to have given him one by now Spoiler Orphan Signal Azreal (the sick templar design) Azreal (The weird 90s transformer looking batman design) Alfred packing a shotgun Commissioner Gorden Lucius Fox (If Red Hood is included) Artemis (If Red Hood is included) Bizarro Glup Shitto Ronin Stealth Suit Cap Mara Jade emosewa? zdvhknv? Buildable Clone Trooper wave in 2026? To be fair this mistake isn't unique to lego, a lot of people forget that he is just a mentally sound (I mean, at least without diagnosed severe mental illness. No one who voluntarily fights batman is mentally well) dude who just also enjoys crime half the time.
