  1. I generally agree, but I'd say these two things: 1. The mechs in general are almost certainly meant as a replacement to microfighters, so if you like microfighters, it is affecting you negatively. 2. I don't think the helmets have done particularly poorly. The Dark Trooper helmet didn't do well, but as far as I can tell the others all did just about as well as lego expected. Personally, I'd like to see small system scaled sets with 1-2 figs if we're getting rid of microfighters. Something like the guardians headquarters set from marvel, maybe, with a build and 2 figs for $10.
  2. Which would 100% be Luthen Rael's head and hair with a re-used torso and no leg printing. The first two avengers films have both been covered pretty well minifigure wise, and there isn't much we're missing from either film besides civilians lego would just reuse prints for.
  3. Putting aside the argument about whether or not mechs belong in star wars (they don't. The giant clunky things from that one obi-wan and anakin comic are stretching it, but sleek bipedal mechs like this 100% don't fit the star wars aesthetic or technology), there are a billion designs we either haven't seen in a decade+ or just have never gotten. I'm not gonna sit here and list them unless challenged, but the Mantis sticks out as a unique design (and not mainly grey) that still feels very star-warsy, is prominent in media, and hasn't been made. For awhile now they've just been throwing random head prints under there. (IIRC the UCS AT-AT had new head prints on one or two of the snowtroopers, which was a real head-scratcher). My guess is this'll be something like a reused Sloane head.
  4. I haven't seen so much as a whisper. The 1992 polybag exists, but it seems it'll be available for sale normally. (And would also be really dumb as a batcave GWP, as it's the same batsuit)
  5. They're distracted by the fact that the Boba figure is good. It's kind of smart on lego's part: afols will buy it for the new boba, not caring that it's super overpriced or that the boba mech itself is some odd non-canon thing, and parents just see a recognizable character and buy it for their kids. That said, the whole idea of star wars mechs is incredibly stupid to me, and I'm annoyed that they're being well-received because it means we could potentially get more. These are very clearly filling the microfighter/battle pack "cheap set" slot, and while I wasn't the biggest fan of microfighters, I'd prefer them over this. And I'd DEFINATELY prefer $16 battle packs to stuff like the $25 swamp speeder.
  6. I think he's talking about the original ones, which were $10.
  7. Very nice, I like the assortment of weapons on the sides, and the fact that it's retained the twin ion engines concept but still has engines distinct from the standard ties.
  8. These are... REALLY bad. I'm not sure why I expected them all to be as if they were large versions of the characters, but... Boba's is the only one that seems to be? Vader's has the weird red accents and the stormtrooper one is weirdly bulky and obviously has the imperial logo on the chest. Not that it would have made them better, it's just a weird decision to me that Boba's looks like an extension of the character, stormtrooper is meant to look like a mech, and Vader's is a weird in between. All in all, I hate these conceptually and think that they're stupid, and even then I don't believe they were executed well. That said, I can see Vader's doing well as it's a cheap way to get him. Boba's will probably enjoy success among AFOLS, but for kids, they're cannibalizing the sales of their slave 1 microfighter. One of the two sets is going to sell very poorly.
  9. Yeah, all the non 18+ sets are the same rough scale, with the exception of capital ships or other massive vehicles. (i.e. star destroyers and the like)
  10. IIRC it was $90 back in 2014, or $115 today (meaning with price increases lego would sell it for $130-140). If they're selling it for $100, you'd be 100% right. Forget getting any interior past the cockpit, we'd be lucky to fit the full ghost crew in the ship at all! But I'm pretty sure the leak is fake. No one else has mentioned it, and I've never heard of this guy before. Has anyone else?
  11. That is... that is rough. It looks like a nice MOC someone made, but this does not feel like something that works as an official set at all.
  12. After I heard a spoiler about guardians three: namely, that , I was concerned. After seeing it, it might be the best MCU movie. That said, the only set I'd want is the Bowie, but I don't believe the Bowie was done justice whatsoever, or that it really can be at a $100 price point. The film really gets across how massive this thing is.
  13. You do understand this is a wishlist thread, right? We're overdue for all four of these. I think a summer 2024 falcon is a shoe-in, and that we'll see either the y- or b-wing come january. The figure selections are generally pretty good too, and aside from the pilots probably being generic I could see them happening. The more I play through survivor, the more stuff leaps out as me as being perfect for sets. The Bedlam Raiders scream battle pack, and there's a variety of interesting locations with things that would make excellent play features. I mean, there's 3 major ships in the first hour of the game that would make great sets: (Minor spoilers up until your second visit to the third planet you go to, nothing big plot-wise): Of course duel sets would be great, and good ways to get some of the villains. Brick-built versions of some of the beast boss fights would also be cool. And this will never happen, but there's even an MBS set screaming to be made from: (Minor spoilers for up until that same point in the game, but most of them are just the names of patrons, and won't mean anything until you meet them anyway)
  14. Thank you! The Whistling Birds were the first part of the moc I designed, I was thinking we could get them built up. Thank you! That was the goal, to get as much dynamic posing out of a 16x16 space as possible!
  15. MBS Seagulls set confirmed. Speaking of set confirmations, shouldn't we start hearing more information on the august releases about now? IIRC we usually have leaked images of the august sets by mid-June.
  16. Thank you! They are completely made-up, I just felt like going "here are 7 generic mandalorians" was a little light on info, so I gave them star wars-y names and backstories to fit them into mandalore post- Mando S3.
  17. The designer just took "Frank Oz as Yoda" too literally. Yoda's starfighter is a weird choice. I get that they want an ETA-2 on shelves every 3 years, but why not Ahsoka's? Lucasfilm's been marketing her character pretty hard, so it's not like Yoda's would sell significantly better.
  18. Here's my first (of many, I've got 3 ideas for the minifigure habitat alone, not to mention the others) submission for the M4-23 contest, the Mandalorian War Games! Here the mandalorians train in the caverns of their homeworld. The baseplate is almost exactly 16x16, just rounded slightly at the edges, with the Whistling Birds mandalorian at about 14 studs of height. Here's a more head-on view. You can note that each of the 7 mandalorians uses a different mandalorian weapon/gadget. L-R, we have: Jetpack Missile, Flamethrower, Blaster, Shield, Vibroblade, Whistling Birds, Grapple Cord. And here are our first 4 figures. They aren't canon or anyone named, so I thought I'd make up some information. From L-R: Rav Vesik: A mandalorian eking out a living as a bounty hunter who returned to mandalore after the events of mando S3. He has scavenged armor and a helmet taken from a killed supercommando. Lii Korus: A survivor from one of mandalore's moons, who was only a young girl during the Night of a Thousand Tears. She wears the armor of her mother. Carth Neson: A soldier from another of mandalore's moons. His armor was recently reforged by a mandalorian armorer, and is mostly still the gunmetal of pure beskar. Kestral Garn: A gunslinger and thief cautiously returning to mandalore. His only remaining armor is his chestplate and helmet, though he's proud of his armorweave cape. And a couple more, still L-R: Ves Ladji: A fanatically loyal mandalorian since the days of Death Watch, here from Axe Woves's group, and still wearing his original armor. Forn Xaren: Another of Woves's group, Xaren wears what remains of his original armor. Peyt Sturik: One of the few mandalorians who remained on the planet after the purge. A hunter, Sturik carries a rifle and vibroblade alongside her scavenged- but pure- armor. Beskar is one resource mandalore has plenty of. And here's a quick view of the habitat itself with the figures removed. You can see the rocky terrain, a pool of murky water, and crystalline green material created by the fusion rays that scoured the planet. The base has the Mythosaur insignia and some beskar ingots on each side.
  19. I think Bly and the 327th should have been the figs in the swamp speeder instead of the 332nd. I agree that he and Wolffe have a fair shot of arriving in the next year or two, and of course we're due a Gree in 2024 since he's for some reason the named clone we get the most of.
  20. There are a few out there, but I'd recommend stud.io. It's an easy-to learn design software where you can build whatever you want, and the software will keep track of and list the parts and colors used. It also has an option to export your list of parts to the website bricklink, where you can order the parts needed if you don't have them.
  21. I love clone wars 03, don't get me wrong. I would have been hyped for a Fordo. Anakin with blue, though? Nah. I would honestly rather have a standard Ep2 anakin, since it's been a decade. The wolfpack is 576 troopers and hasn't had a figure in almost a decade. If you want to go off the odd idea that people are literally army building the canon amounts of troopers (which would require insane amounts of money to be spent on copies of a single set, I might add), there are better choices than the 332nd.
  22. Joke aside, the vol. 2 sets were also missing the main villain, but had a lot more new prints.
  23. Tell me where the girl is or I swear to you I'm gonna french fry this little freak. I think the high evolutionary was skipped out on simply because he wasn't as much of a phyiscal threat as Warlock, or at least marketed as such in the trailers (I haven't seen the film), and with the limited amount of figures lego did they decided he'd be a better antagonist for the guardians. Think about it this way: Which one are kids more likely to want to slam against their star lord and groot figures? The bald guy in generic-ish armor/robes, or the gold dude flying around throwing hands?
  24. Yeah, I LOVED the easter egg. I almost don't want to spoil it, because it's such a nice little detail that you don't (or at least I didn't) really realize what it was until I finished the section. -Sorry, not exclusive. It's in the dioramas as well, the printed brick with the 40th logo. But it alone makes bricklink's "easy buy" feature decide the cheapest US option is $50+ shipping. (which is partially due to the fact that only 3 copies of the brick exist and go for like $3-4, but if anything that just shows even without the brick it's still a chunk of change- $44.7 if you leave the part of the wanted list, to be precise) Dude, 90% of star wars is light stone grey blobs. Some of the most highly requested sets of the past few years have been light stone grey blobs, shiny stone gray blobs, or light stone grey blobs with red accents. The middle promo being a non-lego item is something they did last year too. Neither hit for me and I'd agree a figure would be a better move than that, 100%. I don't mind getting either of these for free, the beskar ingot particularly was pretty nice, but I think most people would rather have a figure. And yeah, I totally agree with you that the coin should have been a figure. My guess is it's significantly cheaper than producing a figure (especially with new prints), since it's just a coin and a piece of- plastic? Fiberglass? Not sure. But I think most people in general- think about general consumers as well, not just us diehards on the forums- would rather have a 298 piece set of an iconic piece of SW than a figure for that highest threshold. Fordo would have been nice and done well, yeah, especially instead of the coin. Blue markings anakin, though...I can't see that being wanted by more than like 2 people. *Flashbacks to when I couldn't get Revan in 2016 because the website died and they sent me a first order stormtrooper instead as if that was at all the same* I think this is what people are missing here. It's not like boxart, where you just make a couple edits to the art and then have the printer or whatever use a different pattern. At the very least, it requires changing the color for a LOT of parts from the set, but more importantly, it's likely going to change the actual design of the set, since it's not like the markings are the same on each gunship. They'd need to change the design at least slightly.
  25. *looks up* The fact that cancelling the set is actually somewhat reasonable and in-character for lego is almost why I think this dude's faking. The leak that turned out to be true was from an account that'd posted here before and they were just so absurd almost no-one could make them up. This one is just some random new account making a pretty easy-to-guess claim.
