These 4 expansion sets make me realize how much I hate Lego’s idea of making Mario exclusive to a starter pack. These 4 sets are basically useless unless you pay more for that starter pack

I think the main anger and disappoint towards these sets (for me personally, so I’ll speak for myself), aside from the constant mechs and trucks, is the fact that LEGO gave us 6 pretty disappointing and inaccurate Endgame sets and literally just moved on to SquareEnix sets when everyone else is making more accurate Endgame toys now the movie’s been released for more than a year. These sets really came at an unfortunate time as a follow-up to the Endgame wave. I also feel that the SquareEnix designs didn’t please a lot of people so I’m a little baffled as to why LEGO seems to really like them. I liked Taskmaster

I'll even say this, I kind of like Falcon's wings. They're simple and straightforward, but do not look bizarre overall.

That falcon is one of the best things to come out of this Marvel wave so far, and did anyone else see the Avengers tower tease at the back of the packaging?

I second that. I love the idea of combining ancient tale with modern tech.

I'm Chinese American and have lived in China for quite a long time. People in China love Journey to the West and it part of a lot of people's childhoods.

I think these sets look amazing. Sure, I would have liked smaller sets, but that Monkey King mech looks so good because it's so complex. I'm not sure how great this theme will do in China, but considering how China has been exposed with lots of fusion cultures (a mix between Western culture and Chinese culture) in recent years, I don't doubt it. I'm pretty sure the Chinese kids are gonna beg their parents for that Monkey King mech set. Monkey King's like Iron Man in China (apparently that set is sold out on the Lego Taobao store).

I kind of like this idea, makes it more like the comic Hulkbuster.

That’d be sick. I would be happy with a small diorama set with one side being part of their living room and the other whatever crazy stuff they do in the second half of that season.

I'm glad you like the game designs. I don't like the game Iron Man design not because it's not MCU, but because it, in my opinion, doesn't fit my expectations of a cool Iron Man, comic or MCU.

I’ll say this, if this is really a MCU set, I wouldn’t mind if they throw in the Outriders again. Unlike AIM soldiers, the Outrider minifig in my opinion is at least cool. Best case scenario would be to include armors “teased” in last year’s HOA set. Tbh, I liked last year’s sets better. The FFH sets were pretty sick and I at least cared about the variants of characters I was getting for Endgame (yes I know, quantum suits were bland but still better than SquareEnix long hair Tony).

I think most people got into the character of Iron Man due to Robert Downey Jr's portrayal of him in the MCU movies. Not that the comic Iron Man is not cool, but I think most casual fans would prefer the MCU Iron Man toys to the comic ones. One thing is for sure though, no one, and I mean no one, is into the SquareEnix Iron Man. His suit design is horrible and his face design is beyond bad (thank god Lego at least used the RDJ head. I hate the idea of owning a figure that resembles anything close to that game character design). We still have so many cool Iron Man armors from the MCU and comics that are not even close to being released, but Lego keeps giving us the worst Iron Man design ever. They give Harry Potter and Star Wars fans what they want, yet they keep failing the Marvel fans. If the rumors are true, we'll be getting our 4th or 5th SquareEnix Iron Man with these summer sets, the most out of all Iron Man variants. Just thinking about this makes me frustrated and disappointed.

Question: long ago we heard a rumor about an Iron Man armory within the Avengers tower, not as a separate set. Could this mean that the two sets connect to form a larger build?

That couldn’t be possible lol. Just look at how many Endgame toys other toy companies made compared to Lego’s 4+ police station and helicopters, and how little SquareEnix toys are out there (people legit don’t even care about the game Marvel Legends figures) compared to the abundance of sets we’re getting. Even if Lego has a weird obsession with that game, at least give us Taskmaster, Ms. Marvel or Abomination, but nope, we’re stuck with that same Iron Man.

It’s so weird though, because almost everyone else hates that game. But considering Lego’s bizarre Endgame hate, this probably makes sense.

Lol if they want remakes, why not make another bridge battle with new figs?

I’ve said this a million times and I will say it again. I’m sick and tired of the abundance of SquareEnix sets out there. I don’t like the game’s designs, and I have no idea why LEGO is deciding to make as many sets as possible out of a game that people are not even that excited for. Sure, LEGO can’t make MCU sets forever, but at least make sure we get Disney+ sets or give us new comic book variants instead of repeats of that ugly game Iron Man design. One of him is enough :( Hulkbuster set apparently comes with only Iron Man and AIM Agent? Well the build better be good cuz this set sounds like a waste of $40

Dang, I guess now my hopes for a F+WS set are officially dead... Honestly, kind of annoyed at all the remakes we’re getting. The hall of armor is barely 1 year old and we’re already getting a new one? Why? Why?

Dang, I better keep my expectations low then. But honestly with a $15 pack, I would be happy to just get a new Falcon minifig. I loved him in the MCU movies.
