I wouldn't exactly call Lego Ideas votes for an X-Men set high demand in the market. With the death of the Fox X-Men series, I agree with previous comments that the next time we see X-Men sets is most likely when they arrive in the MCU, but never say never.

I thought the builds were quite good. You can’t get more iconic than the Blackbird and the Sentinel. It may have to do with the fact that not many X men toys were produced before 2014 so kids didn’t get a good exposure to them.

Now if Captain Marvel 2 is really about secret invasion (and if the Kree will return), they may just do a Skrull/Kree battle pack. We can only hope...

Completely agree with the smaller franchises point. I hope we get BOP-inspired Harley and Black Mask. I need Black Mask! I do hope they make more DC movies sets though (considering they failed to make any for Shazam)

Yup. Technically what was known as the DCEU was the "Snyderverse". It already died with Justice League. Theoretically all movies take place in the same world (except Joker and Batman) but they no longer have a coherent story.

I understand what you're saying. Many thanks for clarifying :) I love this Captain Marvel figure. Can't wait to see how she looks with the helmet. With this Captain Marvel figure and all the other info, I think the future for Avengers sets could be huge (if this wave sells well). Maybe they can eventually remake more iconic location/vehicle sets and disappointing figures (bigfig Thanos I'm talking about you), as well as sets they have never made before such as Sanctuary II.

I mean given the situation, it's kind of hard to imagine them not firing Ezra Miller... but as mentioned above, they could always recast him or use Wally West instead. Probably just means we won't be getting another Ezra Miller Flash minifigure.

Pretty sure they’re cancelling Flash after the whole Ezra Miller situation lol. But I agree. I think with the abundance of DC movies coming out, the theme can only get better. It’s not going away anytime soon.

Agree with the comments above that just because sets are well-stocked in a store doesn’t necessarily mean they didn’t sell. Furthermore, the CMF, D2C and detailed WW84 figures (as mentioned above) all mean that LEGO still cares very much about DC as a theme and has a considerable budget dedicated to it. Lastly, please don’t call someone an “idiot” even if they are wrong. It’s not even that serious of a topic that we’re discussing here. There’s no need to start a fight.

Theme is slowing down rather than dying. Batman toys (Lego ones as well) still sell, and Lego will not let go of the license.

Imagine helicarrier box being Avengers vs MODOK with a helicarrier in the background. That would be SICK. Also the potentials for Eternals set box...

This box, in my opinion, is amazing. It increases the collectibility of the box for people who like to keep the box after building or people who like to keep their sets sealed. Not only do you get a cool set but also an adorable artwork. Imagine how much potential this has on, say, the Marvel Eternals sets if this becomes a trend for the superheroes line. I’m all for it. It looks like prints. I also pray that they’re not stickers. Imagine the pain.

I don't know what the other people think, but I LOVE the new WW84 packaging design. Looks just like a comic book! I kind of hope all the future superhero packaging designs look like this... but I understand if people dislike it because it doesn't show the set itself.

This reminds me of the first Thanos, where some believe that it’s a comic version others believe that it’s based on GOTG. Heck, Lego themselves even used that first Thanos as a placeholder for GOTG movie Thanos in games and shorts. I guess that’s the magic of LEGO minifigs as their inspirations are often ambiguous... Honestly, wouldn’t be the worst idea out there. Depends on how they execute it. I would heavily prefer actual interior though

Didn’t get Black Widow set at its release. I always like getting my movie sets after the movie to see if it’s a must buy or not. Glad to see that the Black Widow set will still be in shelves when movie releases. Like the idea of 2020 not being too crazy so I can save up money for Eternals.
