Tim? Is it you? Perhaps another poster to be sure. Bot, yes, I am Canadian and full of it sometimes, calling a Canadian to proud is like saying peanut butter is made from peanuts. Sherway Gardens eh, I'm right around the corner, tell me newcomer, I'm one too here, will you be at Brickfete this 29th day of July in TO?

Chopper Dragster Sometime ago, around when Lego brought out there own Racers Game where you could almost play others online, I entered a contest. The challenge was simple, to build a Racer. So I went to work, spilled all the Lego all over the living room and began to build. I was pleased with the end result simply because I had never built a racer before. But the Lego Bricks were still missing something, oh,wait, it’s a dragster and every dragster deploys a chute at the end of the quarter mile. How was I going to pull that off, Oh, right, the antique box next to the Lego Heavy Tow Truck contains my Pirate Sails and Lego stickers? I used two only and only a tiny slit in the red and white sail was all the damage done. Four slits to be exact to incorporate the JollyRodger. The cuts were tiny so I had to really apply some immense pressure tomake the click. Which is okay, I’m pretty immense and the job was done without damaging the sail to much. I would love to show this someday in real life, that’s why I save all my models in pictures and the model as well goes behind glass, except for the really big ones, they just get dusty. If I may be as bold as to offer something to everyone out there, the thing that keeps me coming back to building is two things. One is a new project, something I’ve never built before, the other is, we need a place to show our stuff, and places like EuroBricks and the others I belong to, are where it’s at. For your viewing pleasure eh, A Chopper Dragster byme, legodac…

I did an old LDD hockey game some years ago, however i must say yours is eye popping, very cool indeed, thanks for sharing friend. Sorry to the admins for the double post, though this model deserves at least a second look. You are also a master at taking pictures, I really enjoyed your presentation and your model is still keeping me from posting my next MoC, again, fantastic creation Wow, I love this place, it even has automatic double post merging technology.

Nice find my friend, thanks for posting, my favorite is the trailing car and it's cargo, I have 4 sets of the green version.

The English language does not have the words I need to convey what I think of this model. But I think I'll start with the least compliment I can give, I would like to nominate your model for greatest creation I've ever seen. Well done, your Water tower is amazing. I only hope you like mine, though it is from a different era. Again, I can't imagine the hours spent and thanks for sharing this with us, a most enjoyable view indeed, nice picture skills too eh

Coffee TinTunnels, Was created the same time I decided to build a Lego train set running through my living room, then my bedroom and closet as well. The hardest part of building the support structure was not how I was going to drill through the walls of our home, butwas in fact, getting my wife to allow any train running through her livingroom. The support shelf is chin level, mine that is, so that, well, lots of reasons, I will cover that later in following MoC’s. Yes they really are Coffee Tins, an 8 inch hole saw was used to cut through the three sections of wall where I wanted the tunnels. I then used a product to insulate the wall after making most of it expand into dust. Large MaxwellHouse coffee tins were then incorporated. Both ends obviously needed to be cutoff, then, cut down the side to reach the desired dimension. Once spread and placed in the Hole in the Wall, they were fastened with wood screws. The interior of the coffee tin was also spray painted flat black. There is about a 3 inch gap created when spreading the tin, your hole when drilled in the wallmust allow for this, in other words, you first drill your 8 inch hole about 2inches below your finished grade. I think you’ll see what I mean from the pictures that follow. Feel free to ask any construction questions. I hope you enjoy the pictures, I’ll be showing my finest Lego moments soon on “The Train Set My Wife Let Me Build in Her Living Room” P.S. She loves it, and the Grandkids go nuts for it. Thanks, if I overloaded my perimeters, I will make amends. Oh, almost forgot the closet shot

I loved reading your intro, I'm sure the people here are the type we both want to be around, young and old, like me, Old in age and experience, young in the spirit of Lego and sharing something so pure that it can be shared between all ages. Lego is what draws us together, and will always make us a family of Creators, all we need to do is look through the looking glass....

Perhaps this will curb your enthusiasm for now

Classic, and instructions as well, I love it way better then Lego's own. 5 stars, you are a master builder. Thanks for sharing eh.

I like it, I've only ever attempted this kind of MoC on two occasions in the past, you pulled it off very nicely and your photography is first rate. I will keep your creation in mind when I go to build my next, an inspirational creation, well done!!

Thanks buddy, I'll check it out right now
-
Thanks for your help Brickers, I'll see if I can get it sorted out

Welcome Buddy, I'm new here as well and it sounds to me like you and I have a lot in common, specially the part about our wives thinking we are just big kids, can't argue with the truth. Have a great day eh.

At Dr_Spock, no I wasn't buddy, I've never been to any Lego convention, I wish you could tell me more. At Brickdoctor, well thanks alot eh, I was confused when i saw all the different starred headings under each users avatar, then when I ranked up after posting a few, I realized it had to do with posting, not teams. As for my sig, I'm still confused, looks okay to me after viewing my post, a line on top and four pics below, though I wish I knew how to separate them a little

Hmm, haven't done much with interiors yet, though I do like to shop, when I'm buying Lego of course, I like the idea and will be there with bricks on.

I suppose I should begin by saying Hello, since I'm really new here, Hello. Now that that's out of the way, this is my most recent creation and I will be following up with some others I've done in the past, just never posted them here before. Thanks Rufus, you made my day. For those about to mech, we salute you I am very sorry for my lack of picture taking skills, though I do get by, my ultimate goal is to provide you with a fine Lego stop motion. Some of you may seem familiar with this model, it was fashioned after a movie, can you guess which one? The parts I used are self explanatory, though some of you may be asking about the elastic bands Some of the parts I used did not give the model the sturdiness I had hoped for, so the elastic bands came in real handy, and in my opinion, even added something to the model, socks perhaps...tensor bandage as a result from sustaining injury in a great battle? I felt our hero needed a ride, since he now walks with a limp, so a chopper was the only way to go, it's simple in design, yet serves the rider well. It takes only seconds for our rider to jump on and jump off, though the pics may not be to my liking, I am indeed happy with my first real mech attempt.

Glad we cleared that last one up before I stuck my brick in my mouth, so, complete sets, no duplicates right, should I also gather that they must be in a box and unopened?
-
Thank you Rufus, your warm welcome, your answer to my question and your friendly advice are most welcome, though I have no clue what you are talking about when it comes to my signature, thanks again

I am truly amazed by all the builders I have found in this place, and as for this creation, I still can't figure out how you pulled off the dresser drawer handles, would you care to enlighten me? Great model eh, well done.
-
Very nicely done, some of the details were very familiar to me and some caught me totally off guard. It will always amaze me how some can take the simplest bricks and create the perfect effect, your pictures were also awesome, thanks for sharing eh.. Nice touch with the music too

Wow, talk about dejavu, I have the distinct feeling I've seen this somewhere before. Well, no matter, this is truly awesome, I've always wanted to do something like this, perhaps Fred Flintstone. You never seize to amaze me my old friend. Another feather in your cap. Tell me, did you share the apple here as well?
-
Thanks Blackknight112, I would be happy to oblige, though I must find out something first, btw, have we met somewhere else? Your username is very familiar. Anyway, I need to know if it is allowed to post my past creations in the new creations forum, old to me but new to most here.
