  1. Very good point indeed, you are indeed correct if you are planning an entire layout, what's needed, what not.
  2. Well buddy, let’s crunch this by the numbers, here’s your first choice http://search2.lego....g=2057&cc=CA&u= Cost is 140 Canadian, you get 864 pieces and 6 mini-figures http://shop.lego.com...initialTab=zoom and from the detailed shot, there aren’t to many new pieces I use this system to decide which I will be buying next. The two main deciding factors are, How many new pieces are in the model and how many cool mini-figures do I get. I couldn’t find your space centre and I’m not sure if your Fire Station and Marina is one kit or two. Would you like to give us the kit numbers?
  3. I see now what you are saying, and I would love a link or some direction to see this for myself...
  4. Thanks for the comment, are you saying you have the big guy too?

  5. Thanks AJ, you did what to who now?
  6. This model of a Case 550 Bull Dozer was created shortly after Lego came out with their design. Once completed, I uploaded the pictures to Lego.com and called my creation…”David and Goliath”. I also uploaded a few more later to Lego and other sites and called the creation… “The Boss is on the Dozer” this is Lego.com http://universe.lego...2a-59c1e2f22c3f This is MoC Pages http://mocpages.com/moc.php/116604 My first Lego affiliated site MLNO http://www.mlno.org/...pic,4429.0.html A years after that a few friends thought that my creation had been borrowed by Lego when they came out with their own“Mini-figure-compatible Dozer”. I even wrote a review on their rendition. I still like mine better though, it’s built Lego Tough. My guide was this The Blade design is unique and very strong, it incorporates a lock of sorts, and where the bricks connected must be forced together. http://designbyme.le...x?mymodels=true If that doesn’t do it, try this eh… Maybe later, I can’t find it right now, moving on then… I have a million things to say about this MOC, but I think I’ll let the pictures speak for me….hope you enjoy Play Well eh…The legodac Brickerage Firm
  7. Dark is good, it always keeps them guessing. I really like your creation, I have never really done a vignette and I think yours has given me inspiration to finally do one, or two for that matter, okay, maybe more. Thanks for sharing Eleanor Play Well eh...The legodac Brickerage Firm
  8. Into mini-figures eh, do you ever paint your own?

  9. Bonjour mon ami

  10. Alex, this is truly a thing of Beauty. My houses are plain and simple in my train diorama, except for the one that Jedimaster-syfodias designed. I have a great admiration to all who design original Lego models and a great respect for those who create masterful architecture. I bow to a Master Builder, well done Sir. 11. This is wonderful Klementina, I had no idea you were on MoC pages too. I'll have to check the rest out soon and comment there as well. I love the whole thing, but my favorite feature is the front porch, nicely done eh. The colors you chose are also perfect, very old west and earthy. Thanks for sharing. 12. I would bet my last brick that the mini-figures of Lego easily outnumber the fleshies on the planet. I myself have over a thousand figs and only six grand children. Each of them has at least 20 to 50 figs, I know, I gave them out at special occasions. Now, I'm off to the local Lego gathering emporium (Wall-Mart) to buy groceries and more Lego Mini-Figures. lol, means "lots of lego"
  13. This is amazing, and that is an understatement. I followedthe steps provided and had some difficulty at first when my laptop couldn’tfind the file. So I decided to find a path on my own, here is what I cameup with, and it may work for all versions of Mac and Windows. I think this maybe easier for some, it was for me. Step one: right click the desktop shortcut off your LDD Step two: then left click “properties” at the bottom of thewindow Step three: the “Lego Digital Designer Properties” windowwill come up. Under the“shortcut” tab, left click “find target”. Step four: The “Lego Digital Designer” folder will open anew window and you will see all its sub folders. Double left click“preferences” to open. Step five: another window will open entitled “preferences-Notepad”.Don’t be surprised, there isn’t much there. Under, the likely only line aboutlanguage, simply copy and paste this ThemeAccess=LDDExtended Once you have pasted, then left click“file” and then left click “save”, you’re done. Close everything and open LDD.A new tab will appear, click it and behold all the new bricks. Sorry about the lack of spaces in places, it's a glitch on my word document program.
  14. No it doesn't SI-mocs, though it made for some nice effects, thanks for your comment
  15. That's very cool Skaako, for I have only had my Android phone now for about a month, though my Train layout has been ongoing for several years now. This sounds like it is worth more investigating. I hope you are able to get back to your Lego soon and let us know what else you find. Thanks for sharing eh The legodac Brickerage Firm
  16. Don't be afraid to show your age when setting your public profile, seems that the older you are, the more respect you get here

  17. I'm in eh, now we have spaces filled that weren't there before

  18. Eleanor Rigby, picks up her Bricks while she searches the net for a new place to hide, somewhere to share... Sorry, I couldn't resist, great tune, great to see another who appreciates the finer things in life, like Lego, EuroBricks and the Beatles...
  19. So I take it the answer to my question is yes, though for my first pic the lights must be off, that may be hard to see since I am planning a Lego Box Diorama Scene. I suppose I could turn off the chandelier and the lanterns, though the effect wouldn't be the same, or perhaps I could simply remove the box and allow the sunshine in. Then, put the box back and light up my Lego eh, for the rest of the pictures? Sorry, I meant to quote the answer to the first question here as well
  20. This truly does sound awesome and I'm sure I will enter at least one, in one of the categories. However, I do have a question, I read the guidelines for the contest and the part about "no cutting of Bricks" caught my eye. My question is simple, will you allow small holes to be drilled through a brick to allow small gauge wire to pass whereby bringing electrical low voltage lighting into the diorama?
  21. The whole process sounds like a lot of work, though perhaps I will try it someday soon. After all, it is for more bricks. However for now I will be content with 4.1 LDD, since it has taken me 3 years to get there.
  22. I have always wanted to do a stop motion ever since I saw my first one. I believe I have the patience though time is always a defining factor when taking on something like this, perhaps when I'm retired or I become #9. My hat is off to all those who have managed to create such a wonderful and unique form of art and entertainment. Even if you are just getting started. I myself believe that this media will become just as popular as Hollywood movies one day.
  23. -Mithryl Please remember this idea is for those who are able to download yet still can't open LDD Well I can relate to everyone here who has a problem with getting LDD, the latest version.I myself have tried literally hundreds of times over the years to get it too. Since I joined Eurobricks there have been several who have tried to help me get the older versions, to no avail, but thanks anyways Brickers. I have always assumed that my graphics card wasn’t big enough to support the updated program, because that was usually what most people would say. Wait aminute, how can this be? Yes my laptop is about 10 years old, but how come when I go to play a pc game like Lego or Zelda or God of War, I have no problems. It’s because my card is more than big enough to handle a program like LDD andDesign By Me. So what’s going on I asked myself and others. I can download the program, it says I’m successful, yet it still won’t open. THE PROBLEM,if not your graphics card, is something else. I figured this out, while attempting once again, a popup came and asked me to clean my registry, and the scan would be free and safe. Why not indeed, that’s another story. Though it did tell me my pc had issues, hundreds to be exact. Anyone with a pc or laptop knows that their device has issues. THE PROBLEM is in fact the clutter on your computer, not allowing the program to open, download yes, open no. You must teach your computer the correct pathway to follow in order to open. Here’s what you do, SPECIAL POINT: These instructions are for those who can download LDD, but still can’t open it. The fact is, if you can download, you can open. Step one- *Remove all LDD files from your add-removelist* Step two- *Create a new user account on your pc or laptop* (doesn’t matter who, invent somebody) This brings your pc back to state like it was just purchaced, in other words, no clutter,no broken paths, no registry errors etc. Step three- *Don’t log out this new user, just switch back to your self* Step four- *Download LDD 4.1, when the question asks“download for current user” un-check your username and check “all users”. Step five- *The last question asked is “do you want to open when finished”, Un-check that box and click finish. The program is now installed. Also somewhat important, make sure you allow the desktop short cuts. Step Six- *now switch back to your new user, you will see the desktop short cut here, double click it* Step seven and final- *almost right away the LDD will open to download the bricks, then stall because it takes a long time when you first open it. There is noneed to finish the opening, simply switch back to yourself and double click the shortcut. It will open, allow some time for it to open. Congratulations, you have just taught your own pc the correctpath to open LDD.
  24. I have some good news, though it may just be good to me, at least those who want design instructions from LDD, will be able to get them. I now have the 4.1 on my laptop, cool eh!
  25. On the note of customer service, I've always found that it is quicker to phone toll free rather than using the website. I always phone Lego Shop @ Home, the number is1-800-835-4386. The numbers may very depending on which Country you live in. Being in Canada, I am always talking to someone in the States. They are always helpful in almost every way, not just ordering Lego.
