  1. Thanks DLuders, Though I know it's no ones problem but my own, I am 49 and not to great at PC stuff yet, though I do have a passion for Lego, to put it mildly. Is there a link someone could provide that would instruct me how to do that, provide an lxf. file that is. If you recall, I entered a contest here some months ago and had the same problem. The contest was to re-design a Lego Duck on LDD, using only those pieces.
  2. I thought I already asked to be on your friend list, weird eh

  3. Hey Ricecracker, Merry Christmas eh, looking forward to seeing you next year

  4. Thanks for the kind words Brickers, though I am a little perplexed, could anyone tell me how this topic ended up here, I posted in LDD forum first, just wondering eh?
  5. Truly Awesome creation young Lady, I do love the Christmas houses and dioramas
  6. I'm big into my collection, and these would add a nice flavour to my MF library. Stop Motion, here we go eh..
  7. Been a while since I posted here in EB, I do wish I had more time for my Lego life. This is old news but, I will remind you all of BrickFete 2011, Toronto's first Lego convention http://api.viglink.com/api/click?format=go&key=c7a018f99a67aaac33a35421e795cdf3&loc=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mlno.org%2Findex.php%3Ftopic%3D7181.msg303876%3Btopicseen%23new&v=1&libid=1323662942276&out=http%3A%2F%2Fs681.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fvv176%2Flegodac%2FBrickFete%25202011%2520Toronto%2F%3Fstart%3Dall&ref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mlno.org%2Findex.php&title=BRICKFETE%20TORONTO&txt=http%3A%2F%2Fs681.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fvv176%2Flegodac%2FBrickFete%25202011%2520Toronto%2F%3Fstart%3Dall&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_13236629624841 Wow, that was long, sorry eh, any ways, to honour the convention and it's managers I did this on LDD. The Event kit was my theme here and the story behind the creation. Merry Christmas to you all
  8. Hey Brick Fans, I decided to do a little investigating by phoning Shop @ Home. Only one person had even heard of this, they were also curious as to how I knew about it. The Beta, so far is exclusive to the employees, Ambassadors and CP's. Also I could not get a release date. I'm going to send a follow up eMail to them as they suggested, and it may or may not be given any attention, though I have had some really good luck with them in the past on other matters. I'll let you know if I find anything further.
  9. Wow, first time I've ever seen this one, very impressive to say the least. I also think your photography skills are out of this world. Nice job R8.
  10. Congrats to all three and a special Yee Haw to my dear friend R8, way to go pal
  11. I knew you were going to say that, and I should have reworded somewhat. I meant to say that what you have done with fabuland could easily be done as well with Duplo. NP, awesome model buddy.
  12. Well, the only thing I can think of is that Lego doesn't make a whole lot of blue bricks. Yet I see everyday a tractor trailor roiling down the road with that familiar "MAERSK" blue logo on the side of the container. I really love the new line, so much so I'm doing extra work on the weekends just to buy it. (the work is for my wife, she says I have enough trains ) I also heard once that blue seems to be the color that fades most quickly in the sun and the rest of the elements. However, I would say the most likely reason blue isn't a prominent color anywhere, is because, well, just look up and Lego designers hadn't got around to it yet. I can't wait to get the new trains, why, I'm nuts for Lego trains, though in real life, I'm partial to buying blue vehicles. When I hobby, red and green are my fave's (wonder why?) Imagine this in blue eh... Keep on Brickn' eh...The legodac Brickerage Firm
  13. You always seem to be there for everyone don't you pal? Trust me, we all appreciate it, to bad EB doesn't have a featured member of the month contest, you would have my vote. How's everything down under?
  14. Before I vote, I need to know, what is the point of the lxf file?
  15. I did this some time ago, on MLNO. The challenge was to build something else out of one of your kits. I did some research into Train Cranes and found that BNSF had some really cool cranes. I downloaded the pics and began building. The following is the result... Good picture eh, the Lego guys are fixing the pony truss If my dream fails Lord, then let me become a Lego Mini-Figure, at least then, someone will love me... I think that someone here said that my train set should not have included non-Lego elements, they were correct, for since I have seen how perfect one can make a tree. I'm particularly proud of this creation, and as my mentor always used to say, this is our finest hour, after a few pints. (btw, the hydro poles used to be better looking, then Lego showed us the Night, and all turned to darkness) Keep on Brickn' eh...The legodac Brickerage Firm
  16. Now that's cool, scaling down is always. Your choice of colors is wise as well, red and black go together like Franks and Beans. Awesome LDD, took a little time eh?
  17. I am honored

  18. MOC; Gone Fishing in Apple Bonsai Country Well, I still can't stop talking about the BrickFete convention I just attended, it actually inspired me to build this, something I knew I had to build, yet wasn't sure what. The topic was Summer Fun, and what better way to have fun then to go fishing in China. The boat was originally going to be Lego's row boat, then I decided to build my own The Tree was inspired by two lego enthusiasts, Si-mocs and legodac. You see he did it great in the pics I took at the BrickFete, but I once did it too when Lego featured my "LU Tree House" on their website. Granted, this is much smaller than both. So I think that in some small way, we all build off each other, I'm old and dusty, yet there are those who look at me with admiration for my meager Lego modelling skills. On the other hand, I look at all of you here as the Jones's, just another modeler that I'm trying to keep up with. I hope you enjoyed the creation and I hope you will... Keep On Brickn' eh...The legodac Brickerage Firm
  19. Wow, this really will be a week to remember, my Saturday saw me and my grandsons at BrickFete and now I get to learn something about Lego I've never seen before. Lego and Duplo together in Fabulous Diorama. Thank you for this inspiration and thanks for sharing eh Keep on Brickn' eh...The legodac Brickerage Firm
  20. Well dr_spock, this picture is few years old, taken in our front yard by our daughter when Deb and I were building a patio. I havn't changed much, I'm still just as ugly . I was wearing shorts and a black short sleeve shirt that day. Oh, and here is the link I promised of the pictures I took on Saturday. http://s681.photobucket.com/albums/vv176/legodac/BrickFete%202011%20Toronto/

    Canadian Eh?

He was very busy and very talented. Ricecrackers were amazing as well and it was an honor to meet him, as a few others too. I also took a great deal of pictures, 180 about, though it was so busy that a lot of shots got the odd face, arm or something else in the pic. Btw, did anyone purchase the Event kit of the moose, the instructions were unreadable, though I must admit, I only spent 10 minutes trying to decipher them. My wife spent half an hour and managed to build half a moose.
  22. I took about 180 pictures on Saturday, I'll post a link to my photobucket account soon. Oh, yes it was a fantastic show, my wife and two grandsons just loved it.
  23. legodac

    Canadian Eh?

Sorry Ricecracker, I see your point, I will next time.
