  1. Not sure which, I haven't talked to Eric in years

  2. Hello, I just took a quick look at your website, very cool stuff, Btw, I know the Engineer on the W.M. Lyon Mackenzie, his name is Eric

  3. I know what you mean, I can't get the new LDD on my laptop and I've been trying all day to restore the old version, to no avail. I have been given the addresses to download both 3.1 and 2.4, and I even found the original install from when I first had it. It always installs, but then it just doesn't show up at all. To bad to, I have literally dozens of designs stored in a folder on my computer that I can't even open. If anyone has the old LDD on their PC, I would love to here about it, at least then I would know that LDD is no longer an option for me, oh well.
  4. I think I know who you are, I think you are a member of the Ontario Brick Builders and some of your MoC's are registered for Brickfete.

I am looking forward to meeting you on the Saturday, take care my friend...

Very nice indeed, your model has inspired me to build my next MoC, though the theme is different, your presentation was inspiring. I thank you very much that, and thanks for sharing... The legodac Brickerage Firm
  6. I would like to welcome you too buddy, I liked your opening statement, but your second post caught my eye. The dark years eh, when I came back from out west I found my Mother had given all my Lego away to a cousin. I contacted them and they weren't using it so I got it back, whew, close one. Welcome to EuroBricks eh
  7. I also did something somewhat similar a while back, though it isn't as advanced as any of yours. My Ps3 was heating up so I simply created four sturdy legs out of Lego to separate the console from the others and allow some more air movement between components. Problem solved with a so called child's toy!
  8. Most say The Water Tower is their favorite of my Traincreations I say the Pony Truss is mine, I think it is in a smallway, my greatest achievement. The design on the original LDD was to say the least, very time consuming. Getting the angled bricks to do what I wanted, thenattaching the super structure was indeed a job in itself. When I got the model in the mail, I immediately satdown at my desk and ripped open the bricks within. I opened the stored LDD instructions and began tobuild Wow, and I thought the design was hard, buildingproved to be 3 times as hard, I felt at times wishing for a third hand! Once finished, I decided to place it in a centrallocation, one that would always have daylight, placed in the center of thelayout and seen first when you walk in the room. My Truss is an original, to me anyways and I thinkit’s good enough to be something special. In my opinion, my finest hours… Coming soon, my BNSF Transformation
  9. Interesting, I just started here and now I find I'm going to meat some of the members at Brickfete when I attend too. I'll be there on the Saturday, wish I could do the VIP on Friday too. I am very much looking forward to meeting you brickers. Btw, can anyone tell me how to go about registering an MoC to take to the convention?

    Canadian Eh?

Hey, How's it goin' eh. Are any of you Canuck Brickers going to be attending Brickfete at the end of the month in Toronto?
  11. The picture you see here of me, which is blank

  12. hey, can you tell me how to make my picture?

  13. And then a step to the right, put your hands on your hips....

  14. You guys are cool, thanks for posting, and yes Mr. LighteningTiger, you are correct, The spout is to low, thanks rriggs I returned the mail you sent, I would love to have the old LDD back again. Btw, this is next...
  15. The Water Tower was designed on the original LegoDigital Designer. Inspiration came from a train website and I used severalpictures of actual Water Towers as my guide to building. There is something somewhat interesting though, when Ifirst designed the tower on LDD, I had to come up with a way to make squarebricks look round in the end. I think I pulled it off nicely, however, when Iordered the bricks from Lego, I soon discovered that LDD had fooled me intothinking that this would be possible. Construction as per the LDD was impossible. The greyjointed bricks I used for the interior bent on LDD to a certain angle thatwasn’t consistent with the actual bend the real brick were capable of. No, problem, I reduced the circumference by a few bricksand was still able to build the model, and I got a few left over bricks. You can see this difference when you look at thescreen shot from LDD and then compare the view with the finished model. There is also something else I would like to shareabout LDD. I really did love the original program and wish I still had it, forwhen I tried to download the new version, I found that my laptop graphics cardwouldn’t handle the download. What a drag, and now I can’t get the old LDDback. To bad, I have a lot of designs still saved in the old version. On an up note though, I did order 3 of the kits and 2are still in the boxes. I also have an extra train shed and a Pony Truss too. I would also like to apologize for the dirty conditionof some of the pictures, cleaning a Lego Train set of this size is a very longwinded process. I used to clean every other week, it would take about 6 hrs.every time. My ultimate goal is to tear everything down, then boxthe whole thing in with wood framed glass doors for every section, now thatwould look cool eh? I hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoy all ofyours
  16. I also think the twisted trunk is a very nice touch and very clever indeed, makes me wish I had done that on my LU Tree House. 5 stars, nice work.
  17. The truth will be seen soon my friends, or, I will be posting the water tower soon eh. Thanks for commenting Brickers, you have made my day.
  18. Cool picture man, I do like it, perhaps on my desktop background. Sweet and awesome creation.
  19. I am indeed pleased with how this model turned out, since it was my first attempt at making a WWII machine. I have seen other Lego modelers view of a Tiger tank, they always left me breathless, however, they were a little to good, as if tosay, where is the Lego? I think I pulled off a Tiger in Lego quite nicely, what do you think eh? The rear of the tank is what I am most proud, thedetail was a challenge. The figures I chose carefully as well, I think thefaces do the model justice. Perhaps a diorama would be in order next, or evenbetter, a diorama of tanks we all have built
  20. Wow, I am among Masters, nice model buddy, looks to me like you just might win the contest. I really love the Lego strings, lines, what have you? They are, in my opinion, the finest feature. All around though, I can only give this a five star rating, well done pal, and thanks for teaching me something new.
  21. Well here we are again, in the place to be when youwant to share something; EuroBricks is the best place in cyberspace to do that. Without further due I would like to share one of myearly creations on LDD, the old version. BTW, I would like to note that the reason the Hydropoles are the place they are is because of The Emerald Night, it was to wide togo around the tracks I had built so I not so simply moved the poles to theoutside of the shelf. Looks not great, I know, but oh well. Like I said, I designed this on the original LDD, Ithen ordered the parts from Lego and when received I began building my trainshed. Inspiration came from an obscure website and my wifeof course, since she allowed the layout in the first place, I figured why notadd some cool creations. My research was found online, I used a picture of a100 year old train shed as my guide to designing. I liked the fact that itcould only service one car, keeping things simple. My ultimate goal is to provide fiber optic lighting tothe interior, which is actually not that hard to do. Fiber optics are cool, soare mini-lights if your fiber intake isn’t what it should be. (See, “Light upmy Lego eh”) Sorry, don’t hold your breath, the game plan dictatesthis will happen in about 15 years from now. I’d like to thank you, all of you, for this chance toshare a little of what I hold dearest, Lego creations, mine and yours. I onlyjoined a week ago and I have seen more creations then I ever thought possible,I plan to comment on every one. Thank you…legodac (future #9)
  22. Hey Ryan, pleased to meat you Sir, I think you will find what you are looking for here at EuroBricks. Sorry to hear you gave away most of your Lego, I once did the same in the so called Dark years, glad to hear you are emerging eh.
  23. Please take me seriously when I say that reading all your comments brought tears to my eyes, but then again, so does a good episode of the Simpsons. Thanks again, though it wasn't that a big a deal to convince my wife to allow this, for there is always a trade off, the trick is finding the right one, like building a dog bunker for 3 large dogs and an Arctic Wolf (Shh, don't tell anyone eh). I've been at my laptop all day compiling pictures and MoC's so that I may show you some more cool stuff. I also really enjoy looking at all the cool creations here from all of you, I learn something new every time I do. http://s681.photobuc...esktop032-4.jpg http://i681.photobuc...esktop032-4.jpg <ahref="http://s681.photobucket.com/albums/vv176/legodac/?action=view&current=desktop032-4.jpg"target="_blank"><imgsrc="http://i681.photobucket.com/albums/vv176/legodac/desktop032-4.jpg"border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> Please forgive this little test, the pic you see wasposted in another topic here. The MoC links and lines are all the same, I’mtrying o figure out which one works when copying and pasting into a Worddocument so that it shows up as picture instead of text. I would have done this privately but Eurobricks doesn’t sending messages to yourself like other sitesI belong to. btw, anyone know why every time I use word, write, copy and paste, some of the words are linked together?
  24. Impressive, you do have a gift for detail and originality. Your bricks are set in a way I've never seen in some of the areas. Thanks for sharing such an awesome model with us.
  25. What was the defect? Are you saying it's the lines don't match up?
