  1. All parts required to fix the broken window are used in the explosion build so there's no need to buy any extra pieces!
  2. For all the people who said they would've preferred a different color than grey for the main build, according to Mark it was chosen over something like tan because it contrasts better with the figures.
  3. Apparently Mark build his first concept model of the Bugle for fun while waiting on more Eternals concept art
  4. Designer Mark Stafford on wether there were any characters he wanted to include but didn't make the cut: "Several. I had made a list around 60 long when I started! I wanted the original Sinister Six, but we just couldn't make it happen, we ran out of new figures we could make. In fact because it was so minifigure heavy a lot of figures from this set were pushed out into the standard retail line (they ended up coming out first). To give you a few names I wanted Deadpool, The Human Torch, Iceman, Spider Woman - all Spiderman's buddy's. But Marvel also have to agree and some of the decisions to include or not include figures were up to them and like I said others we just didn't have the capacity to include." Florean Fortescue from Harry Potter.
  5. The lyrics to Batman's opening song from TLBM say it all: "Who always pays their taxes? Not Batman!"
  6. At this point I'm guessing June 2nd Phastos from Eternals, which was supposed to be out by now but obviously got delayed
  7. That's the point Even if it doesn't matter much it's still fun to try and figure out a storyline in a big set like this.
  8. Ok so I looked at all the visual clues we got and tried to piece together the potential story behind this set. If you're interested in them, here are all the visual clues I wrote down: So with those clues out of the way here's my theory: Spider-Man's rogues have come up with an elaborate plan to discover his identity and have targeted the Bugle so they can try and capture Peter Parker, who is obviously known as the guy who keeps making great pictures of Spidey. Earlier that day some of the villains came forward and lied to the city by telling them they would stop being bad guys, possibly to get the heroes off their back and put all the attention on the Clone Pandemic caused by Miles Warren which is currently going on. Later that day the villains see the perfect window to execute their plan and they head towards the Bugle. This is what I assume to be their plan: - Green Goblin infiltrates the building to create an opening for Doc Ock to enter, capture Pete and slip away unnoticed. By blowing up the side of the building (right by Pete's office) Goblin both distracts Spider-Man and allows Ock to get inside unseen. - Sandman, Carnage, Venom, Black Cat and Mysterio are tasked with guarding/attacking the entrances and fire escape to ensure nobody, Peter in particular, escapes the building. Now we come to what the heroes are doing: - Spider-Man is going after Goblin. - Gwen is fighting Mysterio. - Spider-Ham and Miles are fighting Venom, who is most likely up there to ensure Black Cat can keep guarding her assigned door. - Blade is in New York to track down Morbius, who has been spotted near a subway. He probably hears the commotion and heads towards it to assist the heroes. - Punisher is going after Carnage, possibly to avenge someone Cletus killed. It's not crazy to assume Daredevil was chasing Punisher and decided to help out the heroes when he saw the Bugle under attack. - Firestar is just flying around the top of the Bugle so I assume she is only just arriving to assist the heroes. The possible storylines seem a bit jumbled but I think the core of the story is the villains pulling off an elaborate plot to capture Peter. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
  9. It's definitely a bit confusing. The news shows villains vowing to stop attacking the city (which happened "earlier today") but here they are attacking the Bugle for some reason, while the Clone story is also going on. What motive do these villains have to come back on their promise so quickly? Why is Blade there if there aren't any baddies for him in particular to hunt? Who is Punisher tracking down? It doesn't detract from the set but a proper cohesive story would've elevated it to the next level.
  10. Looks like it will be really easy to fix the broken window.
  11. Isn't the look of Raimi's JJJ ripped straight from the comics?
  12. The graphic designer who did JJJ's face deserves a medal.
  13. Amazing Fantasy #15 reference on the cab's license plate
  14. Referenced characters I spotted: - Eddie Brock - Scarlet Spider - Kurt Connors - Miles Warren - Norman Osborn - Morbius - Rhino - Electro (classic costume) The Spider-Man No More comic is also referenced, Pizza Time too.
  15. It's her, already confirmed that.
  16. Wouldn't count on any new figures for the 2 unnamed heroes.
  17. It's also available on B&P, where it's even cheaper than on BL.
  18. I wouldn't mind at all if they continued this approach in the coming years as I love how much they've improved the interior detail but I do really wish they'd improve on the structures themselves. Especially the excessive use of large rock, panel and frame pieces
  19. Intern: "So..... should we give them another Daily Bugle teaser today?" LEGO: "Of course not you idiot! Another day another Looney Tunes post! "
  20. I'll personally wait for it's proper release next friday but a very poor quality version of the Legacy short "Golden Hour" (the one with Wu and the Time Twins) has leaked.
  21. They look fairly sturdy but they're certainly not made for play.
  22. I know, I'm more talking about the actual design than the character himself.
