If we get HP-based centaurs in the future the only way I think it would turn out looking good is if it's a modified version of the horse molds with ''leg-connectors'' where the head would normally be. Something like this:

The Batmobile looks great but it's not really for me (I don't care for greatly oversized vehicles as I like to have almost everything as close to minifigure-scale as possible). Happy for those who do want it though! How is that insulting? I know more than enough people who buy D2C sets just for the figures and take the set itself apart shortly after they've build it, nothing new about it. And those exclusive figures add to the value of the set. Take them away and the value decreases, why do you think a single D2C-exclusive figure sells for 15-30 euro on Bricklink? I'm not saying that's how lego sees things, I'm saying if he doesn't like the set / how lego did it he doesn't have to buy it. Simple as that

Final Fantasy definetely not, but I believe Kingdom Hearts is Disney-based so I guess it could happen? Most likely not though

While I don't necessarily agree with everything @Scarilian said about detail on marvel figures I do want to share my opinion on the subject. First of all I'd like to say I disagree with the argument of quality going down and for only one reason: the quality has always been low (which is even worse than a downgrade in quality). Just take a look at the new teaser video LEGO released for the Trolls theme. They all have the same amount of detail as marvel's figures but on top of that some figs have dualmolded legs and every single figure has a brand new mold (or multiple) that can't be reused on a single other character. Those figures (and those from other themes) make the lack of detail on marvel figures especially inexcusable. Figure quality in marvel sets has always been low and will probably remain that way but lego really needs to make them more detailed. Especially considering how ridiculously expensive some sets can be the lack of detail is outrageous, just legprinting alone can make a massive difference

Releasing the figures from a D2C set in a small 20$ set greatly reduces the value of the D2C sets. And to some people who are hesitant on wether or not to buy a D2C the figures are what makes or breaks it. And if you don't like the way lego tackles it you just don't buy it, no one is forcing you to buy anything

I could potentially see Jannah and and an Orbak (maybe even 2 with Finn tagging along) being included in a set based on that waterspeeder Rey was using to get to the Death Star II wreckage. Especially now we know the planet is called Kef Bir and is also Jannah's homeworld

They have to make the UCS appealing to as many people as possible. And honestly it isn't that different as (for example) putting Old Lando Calrissian in the Millennium Falcon, meaning one of the most desirable characters only comes in the most expensive set. While it can be anoying at times (I still want the 4 exclusive figures from the JP set for example but I have no interest in the set itself) it's completely understandable from a business perspective. And the high budgets of the UCS sets also allow for more detailed figures and molds like this Batman's new cowl/cape, Salazar's new hair and the absolutely incredible amount of detail on TLM2 Batman and Harley Quinn from the Apocalypseburg set.

They explicitly said the SDCC exclusives would continue staying exclusive, if that only applies to the SDCC figures or both the figures and the sets is to be seen

If lego's new ''announcement-model'' is anything to go by they will reveal it a week (or less) before it comes out. I really hate how they've tackled D2C announcements this year

Most likely not. I think the chance of Vers popping up in a future set or polybag is incredibly low (like somewhere between 0 to 5% low). It's probably just someone posting pics of his SDCC figure. It's best to just accept we as 'normal customers' will most likely never see that figure in a normal retail set

A GWP is a set you get when you spend a certain amount on lego sets in the lego store or s@h, they aren't specifically attached to one product (exception being the black VIP stand which was exclusive to the UCS Falcon). This GWP will probably be free when you spend somehwere in between 75 to 100 dollars (don't quote me on that!)

There were actually quite a few rumors saying it would be the Visitor Center, but in the end it turned out to one of the biggest disappointments of this year

I think he meant they wouldn't make an Ideas set using mostly Technic parts As for my own thoughts: I really like the set. I originally voted for the project because I liked the idea itself. I wasn't a big fan of the way the had been build and looked as I'm not a big fan of Technic. The change to mostly System parts is very good imo and I'm definetely looking forward to picking this one up, though I will admit I will be waiting for a good discount

I agree, it would be nice if actual movie-leaks like those are either not discussed here or all put in spoiler tags. Even saying Palps has a physical form is kind of a spoiler as we only saw a cloak and some mechinal thing, for all we know it's a cloaked robot with Palps brain floating inside a small tank (that would be so goofy )

Nope, Batmans cowl is part of the mold and unless someone in FB3 for some reason wears a Batman costume I don't see why they would reuse the mold outside of the DC theme

That would be great, the Ghost wasn't that interesting when it came out but it really grew on me when Rebels got better and better. Too bad it was already off schelves YES! But we don't really know if Palpatine even has a physical form

Did you honestly expect them to be prominent characters? I'm calling it now, they're the TROS version of the Praetorian Guards (the PG were originally even supposed to be the KoR but Johnson switched them out because he wanted to kill all guards off)

I ended up buying a second Great Hall on discount so I had two Fawkes' which I used to built one with longer wings that also help keep the (also longer) tail in place. I'll post a picture of it tomorrow if I don't forget it
