  1. LEGO fansites such as Brickset usually have some kind of coupon but idk if/when they'll put that online
  2. I'd love to but I find Light My Bricks to be horribly expensive most of the time
  3. Our first official pictures of JWD are in! Definetely hope we'll get some compies in the new sets! I linked the peacock video because it was the only channel that had the trailer available at a good quality at the time. The special itself will air on Nickelodeon in 2 parts (both ~11 minutes probably). Part 1 will air August 23rd at 9am ET and part 2 will air August 30th (most likely at the same time).
  4. Definetely agree with this, a small street would really add to the DA aesthetic (can't really give us a Diagon Alley set without the alley itself without it being weird) and no backsides means there's a lot more light coming into the shops. Also, this set will probably look amazing with LED lights in it!
  5. Neither but they have seen the movies a couple of times. Most of their LEGO and HP exposure comes straight from me They don't reveal stuff during the weekends though The sets are getting shipped out to stores a bit before the releasedate and some reviewers also get their set in advance so they can publish a review on the day the set releases. Sometimes one or two of those copies get out there.
  6. Asked my mum and sister the same thing. My mum said Gringotts and WWW would be the most important and for my sister it's WWW and Ollivanders
  7. To me it just looks like a translation error as pointed out earlier. And on top of that I don't really see why they would include the entrance but not the Cauldron itself
  8. Price doesn't matter when it comes to wether or not a set is a D2C. Some D2C's are as cheap as $80 and there are non-D2C sets going up to $170
  9. Still doesn't mean DA has to have closed backs, a ton of minifig scale D2C's have open backs: Disney Train and Station, Disney Castle, every Winter Village set, Upside Down, Jurassic Park T-Rex Rampage, Joker Manor, Orthanc, original DA, Arkham, etc. And if DA was supposed to be a ''definitive depiction'' of the street there would be no reason at all to exclude Gringotts
  10. The Hogwarts D2C is basically just one big facade so DA can be as well
  11. Hmmm, I am really disappointed Gringotts isn't going to be in the set. Of course I'm glad the buildings that are included will get so much attention but without that magnificent white building to stand out among them as the centerpiece it definetely won't feel complete. The piececount and measurements are great, got nothing to say about that. Now we'll just have to cross our fingers for a reveal either today or tomorrow We already saw those about 3-4 weeks ago
  12. It's from the CMF Tournament Knight (6295400)
  13. As amazing as that sounds I find it somewhat unrealistic, especially at the ''low'' cost of $400. Unless DA includes a ton of smaller pieces
  14. If the last 2 years are anything to go by I wouldn't expect anything substantial before the Toy Fairs are done in february. Anything we get before then is most likely just setnumbers and prices
  15. Nope, it's available everywhere
  16. If you paid 150 for the entire series but no duplicates you definetely paid way more than it's worth because that's really overpriced
  17. It would've probably made him a bit more accurate but it would also really limit the reusability of his torso so I'm glad they did what they did. It's a fantastic torso, both for Griphook and other (non) Potter characters
  18. So it looks like we finally know what the new Batmobile's based off: Double Trouble, a new upcoming LEGO JW short film. Featuring a baby Indominus and her sibling! They're cute as hell
  19. Usually it's between 3 and 4 pm (15:00 and 16:00) for us in the Netherlands so that would be 9 or 10 am in the US if I'm doing my timezones right EDIT: this might not apply to DA but it's the time most reveals tend to be at
  20. The Dutch price for DA could be 400 euro but it could also be 450. It's obviously not something we need to discuss as it only affects a very small amount of members here (the Netherlands is a small country after all) but it's definetely something we would like to know
  21. Really not happy with LEGO going for the soft material for Kinsleys cloth piece. Usually I prefer the softer material but when a cloth piece only has 1 hole it's nearly impossible to get it to fit right. They really should've went with the stiffer material here, similar to the Graduate. I honestly just want to know the price Also interesting to note that every one of these sets (except the Lamborghini) were revealed at the end of the week
  22. Thanks for all those pictures @Micmac! Great to finally see these figures up close! As for LEGO selling CMF parts, don't count on it. They occassionally sell them but that rarely happens with licensed series.
  23. I doubt it will be more than an hour
