  1. Alternate currently has the Indominus vs Anky set for 80 euro if anyone's interested.
  2. Should it be a new mold? Yes. Will it be a new mold? Not sure, I could easily see LEGO reuse the Indominus body considering how cheap they often are
  3. Licensed threads are made by the moderators on January 1st each year. Because it eventually becomes impossible to navigate the forum and find conversations/posts from past years.
  4. Interesting how the prologue differs a little from the one shown in theatres, gotta love Giacchino's new score though It doesn't really make me more excited for the sets than I already was (I doubt many fans waited for Universal to release the prologue online) but I'm more than ready to go all out on the Dominion wave.
  5. I see someone wants the Batnipples suit Jokes aside I think Mr Freeze in particular could be turned into a pretty cool figure, despite the actual design being pretty terrible.
  6. Amy Corbett's latest Instagram post made me remember LEGO's employee-only holiday gift sets are usually based on some kind of milestone within the company, in 2019 they went with Star Wars' 20th anniversary. We obviously won't know until an employee posts a picture of his/her set but there's definitely a possibility of it being based on the Potter or Ninjago anniversaries.

  8. It's still a popular show but there's no denying a lot of fans no longer have an interest in it, myself included. Season 1 was incredible but the whole show slowly started going downhill from that point onward with it really jumping the shark in the 3rd season. Season 4 somehow manages to look even worse than 3, which is why I personally won't even bother watching it. I think there's still enough of an audience to cater to with a potential second D2C though.
  9. I think LEGO would be absolutely crazy not to make a GotGHS-based Advent Calendar.
  10. It's been retired for quite a few years but you can get some for a good price on Bricklink, the partnumber is 42444.
  11. The big problem with MOCcing the Apocalypseburg set is that the SoL was designed to be displayed and supported diagonally, making modifiying it to a vertical build a structural nightmare. And if you really want it to be accurate to the MCU you'd also have to replace all the green as it seems whoever is building that Captain America shield has also restored the statue to it's original copper look (it turned green because of oxidation).
  12. 1. Ock 2. Goblin 3. Electro 4. Sandman 5. Lizard (mostly because it just wouldn't surprise me if he gets skipped)
  13. It was a good trailer, still not as hyped as I would like to be but it put some of my concerns at ease. As for the potential spoiler sets I just can't see LEGO putting Maguire, Garfield and most of the villains in a single set. I think something like this is probably more likely: $40-50 Build: Sandman Figures: Holland (B&G reuse), Maguire, Electro, Jameson $100-120 Build: Statue of Liberty (reusing the Cap mech shield mold) + Goblin's glider Figures: Holland (Integrated reuse), Garfield, Ock, Gobbie, Strange, MJ, Ned Small list of assumptions I wanted to take in mind, mostly from a business pov: - They already made 3 new figures for Tom so I think reusing B&G and Integrated is more likely than making a new updated Iron Spider. - It's not smart to put most of the villains in a single set. - It's not smart to put Maguire and Garfield in the same set. - It's not smart to put Maguire, Ock and Goblin in the same set. - I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Lizard just gets skipped.
  14. Sadly Bricklink hasn't quite figured out how to seperate the two yet It's certainly possible the lack of appropriate content is holding the theme back but I think the main reason Marvel gets better treatment is because it just sells better.
  15. Doesn't have anything to do with LEGO but considering we're all big Harry Potter fans here I still think it's relevant enough to mention that HBO Max just announced Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, a reunion special, is coming to the streaming service on January 1st 2022. We don't really know what it's going to be yet but the following cast/crew members have been announced to appear with more to come: - Daniel Radcliffe - Emma Watson - Rupert Grint - Helena Bonham Carter - Robbie Coltrane - Ralph Fiennes - Gary Oldman - Imelda Staunton - Tom Felton - James Phelps - Oliver Phelps - Mark Williams - Bonnie Wright - Alfred Enoch - Matthew Lewis - Evanna Lynch - Chris Columbus I don't know about you guys but I can't wait Particularly surprised and stoked to see Carter, Fiennes and Oldman returning for this There is no 2HY wave, these 4 sets are all we're getting this year
  16. I personally think it's a bit of a stretch to say these sets are indirect tie-ins to the 10th anniversary of the theme. The buildable Iron Man is probably just LEGO throwing some new concepts at the wall to see what sticks, which they've been doing a lot recently, and the Wolverine mech a way to test the waters for more potential X-Men sets ahead of their MCU debut.
  17. It's a bit stylised but if you compare the figure to the actual Mark 42 suit it's definitely the same thing.
  18. Personally don't mind the newer helmet but considering there are quite a few people who prefer the old one, here's a quick (and kinda sloppy ) edit to give a general idea of what the old helmet would look like on the new Mark 43 figure:
  19. That would've unironically been a more interesting D2C than that new Hulkbuster
  20. The Grindelwald's Escape set was revealed alongside the first Crimes of Grindelwald trailer back in 2018. That would be amazing. And following the same logic we could also be getting a remake of the Malibu Mansion set with a reuse of the new Mark 42 figure.
  21. You said you would've preferred a powered down version of the BP/IW/EG suit, which we got twice in 2018. I'm simply saying I prefer getting this remake of the Civil War figure.
  22. This one? That's 20068. It came in quite a few sets like 40237.
  23. The Civil War design only appeared in a single set 5 (when the set actually comes out 6) years ago so I definitely prefer this.
  24. Wow that buildable Iron Man set sucks
  25. Figures: - Black Panther - looks great, glad they brought back the Civil War design. T'Challa head seems to be the one from the Queer Eye set. - Iron Man Mark 42 - I like it. It's a little more stylised than usual but it looks good - Wolverine - it's nice they brought back the cowl mold but overall this is a very bland and boring figure. The mechs themselves are all..... as bad as expected.
