  1. This photo shows standard white rims and tires used for example in this set: https://brickset.com/sets/8280-1/Fire-Engine So there are at least 2 types of rims considering all photos.
  2. Those are wheels from set I have in my avatar ;) https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=6582&idColor=3#T=S&C=3&O={"color":3,"iconly":0}
  3. Is there any chance to share part list necessary to make this modifications?
  4. I know that I am asking for much, but there is possibility, that someone has a Nico71's C model of 42082 and 42030 and can share a photo of them standing next to each other. Just like on the pictures above?
  5. In such case, 37mm tires (but only in case of outer size, unfortunately not the width) would be better than 43mm tires when compared to truck 49mm tires.
  6. After all, the closer to the center of the wheel the pivot point is, the better, right?
  7. C'mon... It is not CSI. You cannot unblurry this only image we have. But when looking closer and looking for mentioned partas, next to right front wheel there is some part which can be the black part of big turntable. And next to left front wheel there is light red part which can be two red shock absorbers mounted next to each other.
  8. And all of that is based on this one blurry image?!
  9. Hah, I also finished my B model yesterday And you are right, it looks odd. But surprisingly, it works pretty much ok and it gives some fun when hammering this pillars down.
  10. I will definitely buy this one! And nice review, as always.
  11. They are great indeed and they have non centralized mounting point which is additional good point.
  12. If you set 2 L white lift arms in vertical position, then 8t gear is pretty much safe. But if you set 2 L white lift arms horizontally then yes, the weight will be on one tooth of 8t gear.
  13. Thank you. Driving over water is indeed the feature of the real thing, but it wasn't my goal. My Sherp is to heavy, tires are not able to keep the vehicle on water and motors are placed too low. But in case of moving I believe that hill climbing capacity - 30 degrees is quite ok for such a short wheel base.
  14. Hi everyone, I am quite new on this forum so I thought that the best way to say hello will be to present some MOC. I came back to being interested in Lego Technic after two decades of dark ages, as you call it in here. After recovering and putting on the shelf my childhood technic sets I bought couple of present ones. Oh man, so many things have happened in Lego Technic during this twenty years. But back to the business. I started to build something of my own. This is my third creation which I hope is good enough to show you guys (I think that the first two ones do not deserve on separate topic, but at the very end of this post I will write a couple words about them and give links to photos. Mainly to show some of my progress/development, I guess). After buying tractor tires my first thought was: I will build Russian ATV – SHERP (at that time I didn't know it is so popular among Lego designers). And here it is – my creation of this small ATV monster. I tried to achieve the low center of the gravity and at the same time plenty of power. That is why I used 2 XL motors connected directly to portal hubs and I skipped differentials. I was afraid that this amount of torque and this size of wheels will cause this small gears to slip. I also wish to mention that the starting inspiration was Kevin’s Moo Orange Sherp, which gave me an idea of general shape of the body and smart and compact way to distribute propulsion between wheel axes. So big thanks to him. More details are listed below, if you have some questions, I will be happy to answer (Please have in mind that my part collection isn't large. To build Sherp I used 3 sets, supported by a couple of small orders from bricklink). I hope you like what you see Details and functions: - scale: 1:14 (approximately) - weight: 1369 g - dimensions L x W x H: 29 x 25 x 23 studs - clearance: 5 studs - hill climbing capacity: max 30 degrees (tested) - RC, communication via BT - power source: Buwizz 2.0 (but plenty of space to use Lego PF) - skid steering - drive: 2 XL motors (one per side), geared down 3:1, all-wheel drive - working front lights - openable front and rear hatch (with stops preventing from pushing hatches to the inside of the vehicle) - easy changeable gear ratio to adjust speed/torque (red axes in portal hubs) Status: assembled, part count not known, no instructions (but I am pretty sure that thanks to photos most of you are able to replicate this creation, it is not very sophisticated ) Video: Some photos: More photos can by found here: https://bricksafe.com/pages/keymaker/3.-sherp This are promised couple of words about my first two creations. They are using wheels from my sets from childhood and parts from 42065 and 42069. - The first one – The Jeep. Goals: must be RC, must use those nice wheels from set 8286 and it must have a lot of functions. The result can be found under link, with the description and photos. https://bricksafe.com/pages/keymaker/1.-jeep - The second one – The Rally car. Goals: still RC, let’s make some good use of wheels from set 8414, it should be smaller, faster and prettier than my first creation The result can be found under link, with the description and photos. https://bricksafe.com/pages/keymaker/2.-rally-car
  15. Most probably standard tractor tires.
  16. I hope for something more about 4x4 or car transporter (because 42100 has at least good photos/video to carry on discussion).
  17. Does any member of the forum will be there to sneak some info for us?
  18. It is strange... In case of 42082 - "only one motor for couple of functions, blee, I will add more motors", but in case of 42100 it is other way around - "one motor for function - neee, I will change it to one motor and fancy gearbox". It is nothing personal, it is just my general obserwation.
  19. Nico71's C model was a huge success so no surprise he continues his work to prepare next models - which is so great! Can't wait!
  20. Is there anything more out there besides those blurry images from instagram? I am particularly interested in car transporter and 4x4.
  21. You get your answer when official boxes will be presented.
  22. There is no one definitive answer for all. Each of us should at the beginning define: what I consider as a toy, and then compare 42100 to this description. There is so many factors involved that answers will vary, this discussion proves that. For me, it is expensive, even exclusive, desired, but still a toy.
  23. Yes, the color of the car transporter also looks strange to me. And the muscle car, I can imagine bunch of more suitable colors for this type of car, so why they choose medium blue? No clue. Money perhaps.
  24. @jrx can you tell if the pictures show what you have seen?
