  1. Let's not quote giant quotes people. Remove the text from giant quotes before you post please. Otherwise Nemos gotta go and remove all the giant duplicate quotes from every post. Thanks!
  2. Everyone, do not pepper the designer with questions please. He/They/Lego will disclose only what they feel is necessary to disclose. Be happy we even got a nice clarification. Thanks!
  3. Yes yes, dreams are nice—but dreams are for sleeping and in the awake world we know that set photos show only what we get! So unfortunately no, that’s not gonna happen. Because black bricks are cheaper than sand green ones (yes I’m being serious). We all gotta think like designers on a budget people! The vast majority of this set’s budget went to new molds, pieces, big pieces, and colors, so the designer cut corners elsewhere to compensate. So it seems the mandated Basilisk was...well the only corner cut.
  4. Well maybe, but looking at it now, they most likely went with legs so that Mcgonagall could be made to sit at the main table, along side every other professor. Although personally I too wish she had a dress, but the reasoning for the swap is constant with past Lego choices.
  5. I would think the physical build at the toy fair is more likely one of the designer’s almost finalized pieces, as opposed to the finalized design we see in the photos from yesterday, (judging by comparison not incomplete figures etc). There’s a number of added features and bricks in the toy fair version that are not included in the final set—mainly all the added technic bricks on the bottom making the entire set a brick taller than it should be. So only expect to get what’s in the official set images, which are 100% the finalized set, even if the toy fair version is fun to look at.
  6. Just a standard trans-red crystal/rock. Mold has been around for over a decade.
  7. FYI everyone, I’ve added set images and the official set description to the first page of this thread. It now shows all the relevant information on what is actually included.
  8. Shocking new developments from the Wizarding World! Lego has unveiled 75954: Hogwarts Great Hall, the first set in the return of the highly popular Harry Potter theme. It will be released August 1st, at a retail price of $99.99. Head on over to the Licensed Forum to discuss!
  9. Well he doesn't have yellow skin anymore, so we should maybe count this a win? Absolutely lovely set with a tremendous amount of detail. A buy on instant site for me.
  10. Finally some pictures of the figures, even though we've seen half of them already...I'm disappointed that they Powerpuff Girls themselves are seemingly identical to their Dimensions counterparts, as it would have been nice to get some new face prints. On the others though, I'm really only happy with Mojo. Aside from his cape, which as those weird revamp-series Batman-style splits, he looks great. In the original show, his brain does not grow more, but it initially grew so large that it protruded from his head--hence the domed cap he wears in battle. Interestingly I wonder if the set will included a pink 2x2 dome piece to depict his head without the helmet (I'm betting they won't bother, or care ). But it's the thought that counts? I will say, I'm supremely disappointed with Princess Morbucks. Almost infuriatingly so--and especially so if these are the only two sets we do end up getting. Civilian clothes? Really Lego?! Why wouldn't they put her in her far more iconic and useful yellow-evil-reverse Powerpuff Girl uniform?! Uh! I hate when Lego makes just stupid choices. It undoubtedly took more effort to design and produce her civilian clothes than it would have to produce her iconic villain suit. Ridiculous choices Lego! Octi is like whatever, and I don't give a crap about Donny or any of that new-age revamp-series garbage. Classic series all the way. But whatever I'm gonna buy all the sets, and Lego knows that.
  11. Eh, Elves ending is just pure speculation at this point--and that one forum on Brickset is really the only place I've seen that kind of talk. The original Brickfanz article reporting the new exclusivity of the sets in the UK doesn't really allude to the theme itself ending--rather it only mentions that the final Nexo Knights sets were also recently made retail exclusives in the UK. You can't take that by itself to mean Elves is ending. I'm not sure there's even a fair comparison there--whatever we might think is going on with Elves, it is not as blatantly obvious that the theme is not selling well, as was clearly the case with Nexo Knights. But, I've recently become obsessed with this theme, so I'm totally biased in my opinion. Other than that one supposed ominous set name, the theme looks like it's rolling along on track. We're into year four (already past the typical year three theme killer) and the total number of sets is on track to match the average amount from the previous years.
  12. Everyone, please do not quote pictures. Feel free to quote text, just remove the images. Otherwise this thread is just pages and pages of duplicate images. Thanks!
  13. I don’t think we need to be digging up eight year old threads...
  14. Everyone, this is the thread for physical set discussions. This is not a trailer discussion thread. This is not a trailer = future set is totally happening #confirmed thread. This is not a Toy Fair discussion thread. This is not a wishlist thread. If these things continue, I don’t see the point in keeping this thread, as it was intended to be, open any longer. Focus on the sets please.
  15. Guys, this is not a speculation thread. All of this Ant-Man discussion is just entirely speculation at this point. Please use this thread to discuss Marvel sets we know about, only. Thanks.
  16. Eurobricks moderator and Reviewers Academy Teacher WhiteFang has just completed his review of the LEGO Batman Movie's second offering of Collectible Minifigures! Ready to explore 20 new Bat-tastic minifigures and a load of new Bat-branded accessories? Head on over to the Licensed Forum for an in-depth analysis.
  17. Where are these Quinjet discussions coming from? Let’s keep the speculation here to a minimum please. Thanks.
  18. The closest (and most likely best) comparison is probably last year’s Arkham Asylum. A licensed non-D2C set with 13 total figures, in which a number of them had near identical body parts (aka uniforms), which undoubtedly helped the budgeting. Of course that set was way more than $90... I don’t normally add my opinions regarding rumors, but that set description just sounds like BS to me.
  19. We all know Lego is expensive. But this is not the thread to debate what constitues “expensive”. Let’s talk about the sets themselves please.
  20. Just to be clear: Do NOT under any circumstances post the set images here. Whether they have a confidentiality watermark or not. Thank you and continue on with the discussion.
  21. Everyone play nice please. These are wishlists. People can include or exclude whatever they want on their lists.
  22. Let’s keep film discussion out of this thread please. Set discussion only—thanks.
  23. Umm...so we sure this ain’t a Juniors theme?
  24. Ideally NO. This is because Eurobricks does not want to get tangled up in the Lego legal department along with the actual leaker, once they start issuing takedowns. Inevitably it just ends up looking like Eurobricks is the source of the leaks, and that hurts our relationship with Lego. Thanks for asking.
  25. Let’s all calm down. This is not a countdown thread. When we see images we can talk about them. Until then, let’s not freak out about artificial “leak” dates. Incidentally as a reminder; it is against site guidelines to post or link to leaked images on Eurobricks. Do NOT post leaked images. Thanks!
