  2. Welcome to Eurobricks - glad you are enjoying it so far
  3. The person above me is confused by what he thought was a statement to clarify but which actually was a statement to confuse, so, he is in the correct state and my plan worked - I think?

  7. Yes, that is all you need to start with 9v, but, Lego has stopped producing 9v (non-remote controlled) sets and you will need to purchase all the items from places like ebay and/or Bricklink and welcome to Eurobricks
  8. Welcome to Eurobricks AC. What themes are you interested in? I've just sent off my first membership application for Brickish and hope to attend their Sci-Fi weekend at The National Space Center in Leicester on 3-4th November
  9. I didn't think it was limited edition anywhere until I was looking on Brickset for pics for this thread (poor US and Canada)
  10. From what I can see in their online catalog, it shows this but isn't this just set 7993 ??? Surely this can't be a limited edition? Or have I got the wrong pic from the catalog?
  11. Anyone got a scan of the catalog so we can try to decipher which set it is?
  12. this page has links to some .pdf but not sure if the models you want
  13. I voted for the 483/920 Alpha-1 Rocket Base as its one of my favourite CS sets that I still own from my childhood. Always loved fuelling up my vehicles and sending the rocket flying
  14. looks like an either/or pole has been added I've voted for western as I prefer more buildings than vehicles but was a hard decision as I really like pirates too
  15. The person above had their first chat on Eurobricks with Lt. Col. Thok
  16. I watched 'Knocked Up' on HD-DVD. Kinda funny at the beginning but then becomes the predictable moral story of a layabout bloke coming good and being a responsible father *n* *n*
  17. Oh dear. The person above is double posting

  23. Although funds are low at the moment so I have to concentrate on sets, I do also like to collect any Lego merchandise. I've bought other Lego stationary but not the Aquaraiders set as yet and some of the other "play" swords/water-blasters for my nephews. They aren't overly interested in Lego as such but I do like to show them how the dressing-up stuff can be related to the minifigs and then get them playing with the actual Lego too. Yes, Lego should be concentrating on increasing its quality issues and giving us great sets, but this is an ever changing marketplace and congrats to TLG for having the wisdom to diversify slightly while still tieing everything back to Lego themes. Worst? Certainly not. But that's because I'm also trying to teach myself how to draw Manga and have recently placed an order for this set as it combines my 2 hobbies (though I guess I won't be using it as an actual tutorial, but just as an item of both hobbies)
  24. My car broke down on Friday night and I just so happened to be stranded in the carpark outside ToysRUs so I did a tiny bit of Lego retail therapy (sadly couldn't buy too much as didn't know how much the car repairs will cost) I bought another 7092 Skeleton Prison Carriage and the 7093 Skeleton Tower
