The biggest Prize Pool in AFOL fansite history?
Captain Zuloo replied to Mister Phes's topic in Pirate MOCs
Well I look foward to seeing it, however this is not the post to be updating your entry's release date. -
CONTEST: Pillage the Village - Terms & Conditions
Captain Zuloo replied to Mister Phes's topic in Pirate MOCs
I don't think that would be an issue, and as the rules say a reasonable amount of overlap is allowed, I'm going to say yes. Although to be sure you should still check with the staff. But like I said before, i see no reason why not. -
I think someone got a few BSB's for Christmas...
-
If I had a dollar for every time you have said that... But is true. And MOC's with images in the first post do tend to get more attention than they would without. And these are models that deserve attention - and lots of it.

BrickArms Pirate Accessory Prototypes
Captain Zuloo replied to the enigma that is badger's topic in Pirate MOCs
That wasn't what first jumped to mind, but now you mention in, I suppose if that clip broke, the bayonet would be rather pointless. Quite literally. -
You have been sentenced to death by immurement !
Captain Zuloo replied to Zorro's topic in Pirate MOCs
That I do. A harsh punnishment to be sure. Weakened the toughest men it has. But then, that is the whole point of it really. If you could improve anything, it would be to turn the guard of the citadel more toward the main section of the MOC so he looks as though he is actually placing stones. Otherwise he looks to much for display than story if that makes sense. I hope this helps. And good luck! -
My sigfig is the one that appears in my profile and in oceans on end. It is a general blue imperial torso, white trousers, and the same head as on Dreamweb. I also am known to walk the deck with cutlass in hand. If you have a shortage of tricorns, I would get some more as they can be used for pirate, navy and merchant. They are a very versitile minifig head peice.

See! The Captain was right. ,chant>Zuloo's the best. Zuloo's the best.</chant>

When you say LEGO Pirate Movie, you do realise that BrickFace Studios can provide animation to a good script provided to them? More details, PM me. Another film, Damn the Defiant was a good one. I havn't watched it in ages, but I think it was about an English navy captain delivering a cargo of timber, when he crosses with a French enemy before finally joining the rest of the fleet.

CONTEST: Pillage the Village - Terms & Conditions
Captain Zuloo replied to Mister Phes's topic in Pirate MOCs
Unfortunately, I am disinclined to aqiuest to your request - Hector Barbossa. Probably not. If the size of the baseplate contradicts the rules and regulations of this contest, even if not visible, then the entry becomes void. -
These are some quite good MOC's. In fact they are quite simply awesome. But maybe add some images into your first post so that people disadvantaged with dial-up connections can look at the images without having to load brickshelf, and you may find this on the Classic-Pirates.com frontpage.

Ha! I like it. Very cartoonish. And the face compliments it perfectly! Keep up the good work. You should post here more often!

BrickArms Pirate Accessory Prototypes
Captain Zuloo replied to the enigma that is badger's topic in Pirate MOCs
Do you think that because the bayonet seems a little big? Or is that just me? -
Well you are free to use my sigfig - so long as It's the one doing the killing! In regards to improvements, I would SNOT or plate as much of the ground as possible, and I would add something under the window of the middle building - it kinda looks empty there. Anyway, good job, and the very best of luck to you Sir!

I would purchase the rapier first as it seems more realistic. Maybe just my opinion? Good job anyway! -
This is perfect! Depicts fanasticly the evil of the pirates! For improvements, I could only say that the corpse wouldn't be a skeleton that quick. But for LEGO models, I think it is acceptable. I am being very critical here, but that is for the sole reason that there is nothing to improve! Keep up the good work, and good luck!

The new soldiers, what shall I do with them?
Captain Zuloo replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
But in real life, The EIC - a British company would never have taken over the the British navy. Good movie, but silly nonetheless. -
Holy goodness gracious me! This is a wonderful MOC. I might even frontpage this on Classic-Pirates.com! Great find!
-
1- This will need a new thread as it doesn't clearly say it's a PTV entry and so would be diqualified. 2- 6 images is the maximum amount of photos before the entry is void from the competition. As far as improvements, make it a legitimate entry, add more scary faces if possible, and add more confusion in general. At the moment it looks as though there are just a few pirates destroying a fortified town? Um - no. Add more pirates, soldiers and victims to make it look more of a massacre! Good luck!

CONTEST - Pillage the Village - Creative Critic Award
Captain Zuloo replied to Mister Phes's topic in Pirate MOCs
Sailor! On your feet! On my ship we speak English as a first language! Why I ought to... <Mister Phes walks angrily up to Captain Zuloo and hits him with a saucepan> -
I don't have any of them in my ship's stores. They are horrible things. Every last one of those phreds I mean pickles should be thrown overboard!
-
Give Phred back right now!Or I shall be forced to attack your fleet! We need our officers.
-
The new soldiers, what shall I do with them?
Captain Zuloo replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
Ah congratulations Sir Zorro. I would be Sir Captain Zuloo, but that sounds silly so I will stick with just Captain. Hehehehe. Welcome to the round table! -
The imperials respond to the pirate attack...
Captain Zuloo replied to Snake...SNAKE...SNAAAAKE?!'s topic in Pirate MOCs
Well I'm kind of getting sick of these transparent rods, but that isn't your fault. If anything could be improved, it would be to remove the rod and find another way of sticking the head on to the arm, include the person who fired the shot to make the head go flying, and replace the bush thing with a tree. Otherwise, this is a great MOC, and I love the idea of the flying head cutting of a hand. Good luck! -
Yes. Well it was worth a try. Anything to beat you and Phes!
