  1. Wow, my new favourite metal band! I'm really digging some of this, not only is the pirate image great, but their music is brilliant too!
  2. If you want to know about Mindstorms control, check out pe668's website. He is without doubt the king of Mindstorms layout control:
  3. A replica? Um... The Young Endeavour was never meant to be a replica of Cook's. The Endeavour The Young Endeavour Sail Training Ship I don't really see any similarities at all. Anyhow, I'll be going for a voyage on the Young Endeavour next year or the year after. At $4,000 AUD, the trip carries a heavy price, but I think it will be a fantastic experience.
  4. Indeed I do! Whatever change is in my right pocket for whoever can guess what it is!
  5. Indeed International Talk Like A Pirate Day does exist. Classic-Pirates.com has some solid proof in something very exciting coming up on the day...
  6. Nooooo - you'll lose! NOTE TO ZORRO AND JUDGES: THAT ABOVE POST IS VOID AND UNTRUE Yeah man, either open up a vacancy thread or one of you build a second MOC. But that's like giving up, You can't give up on the bluecoats and let the reds win! EDIT: Check out this thread - brickme is interested in joining a team.
  7. Welcome to the team Ratshot! I have sent you a PM...
  8. Wow maydayartist, that island is a brilliant piece of work. It reminds me a lot of a Pirates of the Caribbean game that I used to have that didn't have anything to do with the films other than that you had to destroy the Black Pearl at the end... But that island looks like many in that particular game. Fantastic job mate, keep expanding it!
  9. G'day mate, and welcome to Eurobricks! Ever built Pirates?
  10. Well now that's very interesting...
  11. Hey, Amidst the firey round 2 of the 1st Annual Tournament of Retribution, a vacancy has opened up in Out of the Blue as unfortunately Crystal hasn't gotten back to me after a number of PMs. Maybe the heat of the battle has gotten to her, maybe she was attacked by pirates, or maybe her computer just isn't working. Either way, there is an open position in our team and if you are an interested Bluecoat, please sign up! First person to post an expression of interest gets the place! But you MUST have a camera and be able to build a MOC very, very quickly because we need to post our team's final entry in the next few days! Thanks, Captain Zuloo
  12. So you're saying that if the posts weren't edited to have text post numbers the actual post numbers wouldn't change? If so, that has just been demonstrated to be incorrect.
  13. Great MOC by The Brick Time! I have frontpaged it here.
  14. *Decides to not enter his loco in category 1 and in category 2 instead* Great work gcarstensen, if this doesn't wind up on Classic-Town.net and The Brothers Brick at some point, there is something severely wrong! I love your use of cheese slopes, and is that a few car tyres making up the smoke stack? Good job mate, and good luck!
  15. Great job Uvga! I especially like the anchors. I would suggest though, that maybe you swap the black gun port flaps with the dark red that came in BB? Butgood effort, thanks for sharing!
  16. I often include Pirates in my towns. As a tourist attraction you say? Hell no, as pirates! And it seems I'm not alone with that idea: Brian Darrow's Pirates of the Bermuda Triangle Image from Classic-Pirates.com.
  17. When I saw "Piratical Designs" in the Eurobricks Minifig Customization Workshop, I decided to have a peek. And I'm glad I did. NewRight has shared some top notch stuff here! Check it out:
  18. Hello absolutelylez, and welcome to Eurobricks and Classic-Pirates.com! I love your MOC, a very colourful and fun piece of work. I assume that it would be a bit of a constant battle between the two as their home islands are so close together!
  19. As a general rule of thumb, we try to not delete anyone's posts. Because if someone has replied to Hinckley's rubbish, then when Hinckley's post is removed, the person who replied looks silly because they aren't really quoting anything. If it wasn't needed Siegfried would probably have a quiet word with Hinck but the post would only be removed if it was offensive. Even then it would probably only be moved. But why would Hinckley make a bad post anyway? Post 2
  20. Ok, I'll take a swing at it: Shipyard Master The Shipyard Master is the highest rank of the Shipyardigans. He has proved himself to be a good Senior Editor and was hand picked by the staff for the job of Shipyard Master. His role is to be the big boss of the Shipyard - well under Zorro and Mister Phes of course. He does the rare spot of moderating when required and is the go-to guy for any technical or other questions his Crew may have. Lookout Boy This is the rank given to the scallywag who sits in the crows nest day and night singing old sea shanties with an eye out on the horizon for any interesting news floating his way. He maintains The News Room which is the first place the blog writers look for some fresh and exciting content. Senior Editor Not too many of these scoundrels floating around, but they are a promotion up from Pirate Editor. They have successfully trained three New Recruits to the rank of Pirate Editor to take their place. The Senior Editors know the blog standard like the back of their hands so they are the gurus on any minor queries. Pirate Editor Pirate Editor is the rank of most Shipyard members. They have shown they can write a perfect article for the Classic-Pirates.com frontpage and they know their stuff pretty well. In order to reach the rank of Senior Editor, they must train at least three New Recruits to Pirate Editor level. New Recruit The first rank for any new member of the Shipyard, New Recruits sometimes have a strong technical knowledge, other times they have no technical knowledge at all. Either way, it is the job of the Pirate Editor to train at least three New Recruits to the rank of Pirate Editor. How's that Siegfried the Sinner?
  21. Don't quote me on this, but I think the villains are skeleton pirates. I read it somewhere, don't remember where though.
  22. This is an interesting topic. In my opinion, fully LEGO scenery is better because it provides more opportunities for little whimsical scenes for exhibiting. That seems to be waht kids love and it was the little details everywhere that kids (and adults) were looking for that kept them at my layout longer than others. And it's more fun to do fully LEGO scenery because it is sometimes more challenging and easily modified if need be.
  23. And some of the Pirate ranks were filled and still are, but they are the secondary group of the Crew now rather than the primary group.
  24. Yet another brilliant custom creation from you mchaelozzie! Great work!
  25. Good point, if I was a sailor and I saw a normal human turn into a huge human as big as a ship I'd be sailing away pretty quickly too! Yeah - idiots.
