Shipyard Shenanigans Ep. 1 "Last words, either way"
Captain Zuloo replied to General Armendariz's topic in Pirate MOCs
Just to enforce that, if you have any suggestions for new stories, please email them to news-coordinator@classic-pirates.com and you could possibly earn yourself a highly sought-after position in the Crew. -
Hey Klaus-Dieter, great work! I'm really in awe of your lamps and speakers outside. Good job with them. Only suggestion I have for improvement is that for the windows on the second floor, you use actual windows, not white brick. Otherwise, looking really good. The best of luck mate.

TTCE: C&O berkshire and passenger set
Captain Zuloo replied to gcarstensen's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Wow, that interior is something special! I never thought of using plates, it leaves so much room inside and looks very realistic. Well done! -
Interesting topic TheBrickster. I've never actually tried putting real water into my layouts, but I saw a video on YouTube of a layout with water in it. Check it out: You can see the water really well at 0:34.

Perhaps there will be Barbosa replacing Blackbeard? Although I haven't read anything about Geoffrey Rush returning.

What are you on about, I thought the fire effects were fantastic! Great work Zepher, I'm enjoying these comics.

ENTERED Pacific National operates a number of NR Class locomotives across Australia, including those that pull the world famous Ghan and Indian Pacific. This loco is really my first MOCed train, so I'm pretty pleased with it. It has a fair bit of SNOT in it, and it was a pain to get the windshield right, but I finally did. My favourite part is the door windows. More photos on Flickr. I hope you guys enojoy my entry, and thanks a heap for this great contest!

Why are there only 2 sets of wheels? Shouldn't there be 3 sets? Try it out and see what you think, I reckon it would look better.

Interesting set ideas. I doubt we'll see the Endeavour or the Dauntless (I doubt we'll even see POTC) and if we did they would be very dissapointing. I would say there might be 2 ships: the Black Pearl and the Interceptor.

Awesome train mate, but your image is way to large. See if you can resize it to a maximum of 800x600 so as to keep loading timed down. Check out this tutorial for how to do just that, then people will be able to give you some proper C&C.

International Talk Like A Pirate Day 2009
Captain Zuloo replied to Captain Zuloo's topic in LEGO Pirates
I made prank calls today to a number of places pretending to be a pirate captain. I called the Sydney Harbour Pilot and said my ship was coming into port and I needed a pilot. When he asked what the radio frequency of my vessel was and I said I didn't have one, I just had the wind in the sails and the sweat on my crew's back, I think he started to worry a little. Then he said that I must have been calling from a mobile phone and I said that no, it was a messenger pigeon. He was like "Um..." and I wished him a happy Talk Like A Pirate Day and hung up. Then I called Dominoes Pizza and asked for a French pizza, and when she said they don't offer French dishes I said I meant minced Frenchman. She laughed then I wished her a happy Talk Like A Pirate Day and hung up. The funniest one was when I called a Western Australian shipyard and informed the bloke that my ship was limping into port after a firey battle with the British and the stern of my ship was so far underwater that me "toes get wet if I be goin' down to the back of me ship!" He asked what kind of ship I had and I said a 22m brig with 16 guns. He said that I was the enemy and when I asked him what he meant and he asked if I was a pirate, I said yes and asked if that was a problem. He laughed and said "well bring her in matey" and I said thanks very much and wished him a happy Talk Like A Pirate Day. I made a number of other calls asking for pirate supplies and looking for taverns, and I was really pleased at how well people recieved it. Everyone I called got into it and had a bit of fun, so I think there are a few people that will go to sleep tonight with a smile on their face thanks to the day where the world stops and talks like pirates! -
TTCE: Norfolk & Western Bicentennial Train Set
Captain Zuloo replied to Cale's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Wow, thank goodness ye aren't eligable for the contest! Else all the other entries would fail terribly! I love the colours, that is a truly American train. Well done, and I'll be voting for you even though it is pointless. Keep up the great work man. -
Damn you David! Building the exact same class loco as my train for the exact same contest... I can garuntee you that mine is better though. Good job mate!
-
Really? I liked Black Sails At Midnight better.

Where do ye get the idea of a POTC line? Yeah people have mentioned that it is a possibility, but is there any news or rumors coming from The LEGO Group? Or is it all just fan speculation? I highly doubt there will ever be a LEGO POTC line, and I expect we'll see a return of Pirates within the next 3 years. Lighten up fellas, if you want more sets, build them yourself!
-
Great work Ratshot! My favourite part was the curtin. And the concept was tip top too! So that concludes Out Of The Blue's entries for Round 2 of the Tournament of Retribution. I believe we ars still waiting on Admiral Bejaune...

PETITION to keep the Pirates theme beyond 2010
Captain Zuloo replied to Zorro's topic in LEGO Pirates
I think the decision has already be made, so perhaps we should be petitioning for more Pirates in less than 3 years? I'd prefer that to a decade again. But for what it's worth: Keep Pirates! -
Yargh mateys, with International Talk Like A Pirate Day 2009 only a few hours away, I thought it might make a good discussion to see what ye scruvey dogs will be gettin' up to tomorrow! Will ye just be sayin' "Ahoy" rather than good morning to everyone, or will ye be putting on a huge Piratical party? Let us know what you plan and how it pans out in this thread!
-
Not at the moment - boxers don't have pockets. But you'll enjoy it. Have a great Talk Like A Pirate Day everyone!
-
All the best fellas!

Wow HK, you have enough requests here to keep you busy a little longer. Keep up the great work mate.
