Just to add to the "not to scale" complexity, I've decided to try and build the mini-Ghost poly bag so that my Gozanti and mini-TIEs will have something to chase. Although I am well aware this will make for three completely out of proportion vehicles that will look utterly goofy if I actually switch my brain on. Luckily I'm pretty sure it's off and staying off ;)

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
d-delay replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
That rumour about multiple Spider-man sets next year is the only thing keeping my slim dangling by a thread hope for a White Tiger figure alive. Even then it's still barely hanging in there, but I do hope they surprise us with her :/ -

Some discounts available at Big W at the moment on AoU sets - check the catalogue, but $15 for the drones set, Quinjet under $100. Nothing we haven't seen with the recent Target and Myer sales, but good to see somewhere still providing the opportunity ;) -

Yeah, unfortunately at $90 for the Hydra Fortress Smash it'll take a general 20% off sale and a whole lotta good fortune in finding one at the time to see me actually buy it :( damn you Quicksilver... -
They are arriving. I picked up the Javelin, Hulkbuster and GL sets today at an Independant Lego store in Pakenham. It will be a matter of days before the big stores have them :)

Picked up the Frozen set today. Apparently my independent Lego store (I'm Rick James Bricks) have almost sold their entire stock of the set in one day! They had customers asking them to hold it till the weekend, and they wouldn't because of the speed of sales. Get it as soon as you see it if you want it ;) -
Seeing that prelim really makes me want to get that Ghost polybag. Or at least try to build it. I know the scale wouldn't be right, but it would still be fun to have those TIEs chasing the Rebels crew :)

I'm Rick James Bricks in Pakenham. Little independent Lego store. Good for your Lego needs - even have a makeshift Pick a Brick wall ;) -

Yep, I saw Wookie Gunship, AAT and Skyhopper in the wild today, as well as the previously mentioned Friends sets and A few others. Didn't see the two Rebels sets that I'm after though :/ -
So... leaked images from China have just appeared for the rumoured "monster themed" CMF14 - among the pics is a zombie cheerleader with pigtails that look decidedly like what I have come to expect new 52 Harley's hair to be. I could be wrong, I am no DC expert, but I think it gives a huge boost to the new 52 Harley hopes. http://tieba.baidu.com/p/3544398851 Also, check out that Cheetah ;)

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

Here is how Alex O'Hirn (pre-mutagen Rhino) looks in USM. I think it would be quite hilarious if Lego gave us him in that brick built version - the nerdy target of bullies in the big mech. Although maybe the "mech" is not supposed to be a mech so to speak, especially given the organic look reported, but more of an example of the transformed state of Alex with Alex himself still "inside"? Weird. I'm not sure of Lego's history of dealing with organic changing characters. I guess they didn't give us a Norman Osborn inside a brick built Green Goblin... Just seems weird that it fits a minifig. An organic mech that isn't the USM concept or the movie one :/ I'm still gutted there's no White Tiger. Any chance there's an exclusive with her?? I have grave fears the USM team will never be completed due to female superheroes weak drawing power :( -

I picked it up at a Toy Kingdom (Toyworld associated) in Melbourne. I think someone mentioned it was exclusive to Toyworld and DJs? -
Maybe if the Detective's Office had a story like this to go along with it, the AFOL's would be satisfied with it? Mmmmm, not likely. Awesome work! Loved the narrative!!

I find it odd that Demitri's first breaking of the Summer list designated 75101 and 75102 as Rebels sets and now they are TFA sets. Demitri's info has proven to be spot on except for that designation - which was confusing at the time given the "Wolf" tag was applied to the Rebels sets, whereas now we see all the Wolf sets were TFA sets. I wonder why Demitri or his source labelled them as "Rebels"? And does the placement of 75106 out of order signify anything regarding its source? Curious...

I was told that Lego Australia only went back to work three days ago!? So the forever delay in January every year might be more of an acceptance of Australian business practice of everything more or less shutting down till after Australia Day. Though I was told that CMFs would be out by next week in shops. At least that might keep us sated till the real sets arrive ;) -
I just want to know which Timezone J2G is in, because obviously he's decided we're all going to get a Christmas present from him ;)

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Rumours and Discussion

I would love a masked kendo figure for the "Samurai" - but I'm assuming with a fencer already in this series that probably won't happen. -

I grabbed some series 12 at Kmart Fountaingate last night, and then saw more at Docklands Toyworld today. So they are definitely out and about ;) P.S. the Athena, Pig and Friday are magnificent :D -
Damn you Wesker, you're dead right! Not sure why I thought Bespin when I saw that hairpiece. Thanks for the correction - this is not the mold we're looking for.
-
Not to mention the new hair mold from the CMF Dino Hunter & Genie that looks suspiciously like it could be for a Bespin Leia . Reminds me of the Forest Maiden pre-Ewok Village. It is clever of them to use the CMF line to create molds for use in Star Wars UCS play sets that otherwise wouldnt get new molds, is it not? :)

I hear what you're saying Deathleech, and overall you are right, most of the themes I mentioned are ongoing. I was more making the general point that there is zero incentive to "finish" a line from a business point of view. Sadly I would sum up the situation like this: if there is business reason enough to produce another wave, there is also business reason enough not to complete the array of characters/scenes possible, because it would limit the future. Hopefully we get another wave, although Faefrost has me convinced that it ain't gonna happen. I prefer to use my twisted logic to believe that the incompleteness of the theme may offer more hope that perhaps there will be scope for future production when a Middle Earth kids carton is announced in a few years time (that would seriously be our best hope!!) The only other thing that gives me hope is the pervasive strength of the castle theme in general over time. That may encourage Lego to persist at least for one more wave IF they have the designs in the bag. If not, it'll be back to generic castle, and using my imagination ;)
-
On the contrary, I think Lego intentionally does not finish lines in order to give them room to move for potential future products. Did they finish all important scenes from the original three Indiana Jones or give us every key character? Did they finish every important scene from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies or give us every character? Has even Star Wars seen more than one set from Cloud City in 15 years or even one Naboo Royal Starship? Has the DC Superheroes line completed a Justice League yet? Or has Marvel completed the Ultimate Spider Man team? Why not leave some things undone? How else can you keep the collectors hoping always for more? ;)

When I need to de-stress I watch USM. When I want to think I watch Batman TAS. There is a time and place :) I've never read a comic book, but I can definitely see the reasoning behind the updating of some characters. My kid got a comic styled Green Goblin as a present and laughed at it. On the other hand the bigfig Green Goblin is one of his favourites to play with. He's never seen the show, he just thinks the new GG looks like a bad guy, whereas the old comic stylings look like a clown. I'm not trying to say USM is all that. I'm just trying to say that to the comic uninitiated, the direction USM is going with the villains makes sense, even if the vast majority of adult collector traditionalists will HATE it. Sadly that vast majority of adult collectors is in the minority when it comes to the target market Lego and the show are going for.
