This link is to Nat. Geo. news reporting on the lack of funding for the continued excavation of the Queen Anne's Revenge. Perhaps they should have a Lego event!

Thought I'd share this link to the LA Times reporting on the ongoing salvage of The Queen Anne's Revenge.

MOC: brick-built canopies for miltary aircraft
treeboy replied to Ralph_S's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It's funny because when I first stumbled across your flickr page you had quite a few brick built windscreens for different models and I thought they looked clunky and detracted from the overall beauty of the models. Now, I really like the brick built ones and the F-16 with the SW canopy appears strange to me where as your brick ones look great. Good work and thanks. -
So I checked out my Oxford OM3302 set and box and couldn't come up with the type of vehicle, which, isn't too surprising since I can't read Korean. None the less, I came up with this: The caption reads thus: "K-30, called "BIHO system", self-propelled 30 mm twin-gun system" Another picture: It's caption: "Doosan K-30 Biho twin 30mm self-propelled anti-aircraft gun"

Sorry I didn't mean to make it sound like you are conspiring against us less talented, or lazy, types. But on that subject I did find your instructions for the Corsair, Hellcat and Helldiver you designed for project Intrepid. Great stuff and thanks for sharing.

LDD cannot connect to internet

I sit being blocked by a firewall? -
I'm thinking you should time-lapse photo your builds. I think I remember reading in your flickr page that you don't like doing directions and you don't use CAD so maybe time-lapse is a solution, unless your intent is to encourage others creativity through inspiration and not crutches.

WIP: City Section 6
treeboy replied to alienwar9's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Thank you sir. Inspecting now. I really like the details like the antennae, fire escapes, HVAC, vents etc and that's just on the roofs. Do you ever do interiors like desks, couches, etc? you could easily go from 17.000 pieces, as the parking garage et al is, to about 1,000,000 pieces. Thanks again. -
WIP: City Section 6

That's sweet you never cease to amaze I'm not much of building person yet but that garage look killer and if I could get an lxf of that "city block" that would be great. The overhead shots keep saying "aircraft carrier" to me, obviously my bent. None the less, awesome work and I love the building colors. The red mirrored corner building would be a good lxf as well I'd like to check that one out a little better. Thanks for the post. -
Concerning decorations: I assume there are no number decorations available (yet) since Aanchir doesn't have any in his reference? I thought I'd ask since the Decorations post hasn't been updated since August and I'm still on 4.1.7.

LDD Problem
treeboy replied to Master of Legos's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I get nothing from the link. 0 bytes downloaded. Try Brickshelf? Brickshef allows for picture and file upload and is easy to set up and use. -
Great review Rufus, thanks. As Legostein says lots of potential here. I like the yellow color for my part and think too many model sports cars are red. Ferrari is cool, of course, but not everything needs to be a Ferrari. I mean what's wrong with Toyota

What is the Bricklink name/number of these black bricks with the grooves?
