Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
legoSDR replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
It would be nice if Marvel got the Star Wars treatment; constantly pumping out new waves 2-4 times a years, sometimes updating old sets, sometime creating brand new scenes, sometimes making stuff up entirely. It would be nice to see MCU/Marvel Comics sets on the same scale as Star Wars or DC Comics/Batman. Then perhaps the quality of the figures wouldn't be as huge of an issue because we'd eventually get a better version one day, or the sheer volume of figs/characters would be satisfying. I love that LEGO are doing this. I'm pretty sure this will be the first ever licensed theme of a franchise that isn't for kids? Maybe it will pave the way for more themes of teen/adult franchises. I'd never hold out hope for a GoT or TWD theme, but this is at least a nice step in that direction. I understand why they'd do Stranger Things despite it not being suitable for kids; the show has a lot of elements borrowed from classic 80s films and TV shows and I think they're aware that a lot of people of all ages watch it, despite its age rating. I suppose they've made it 16+ to cover their own backs

Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
legoSDR replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'd at least like to see sets from the films that didn't get any (IM, IM2, Hulk, Thor1, Cap1, Cap2, Thor2) that way we could have most versions of the main heroes and villains. Then maybe a couple from other movies that should have been made (GotG prison breakout, Avengers vs the leviathan, Final battle of Endgame done right), and maybe if LEGO felt really generous we could have a bald Thanos -

Last year's fiasco was due to Toys R Us shutting down unexpectedly, so LEGO didn't have a backup plan except for the HP set with Barnes & Noble is the US. This time they will have had time to plan. They could either strike a deal with another retailer, but keep it in Toys R Us in the countries it's still open. Or make it a LEGO Shop exclusive We in the UK didn't get any bricktober stuff at all -

I feel sorry for LEGO to an extent because there's a huge amount of secrecy surrounding Marvel movies, so the little information that they do get is hardly ever enough to build accurate sets. And the secrecy behind Endgame was tenfold. Considering the leaked concept art we saw I think LEGO did a pretty good job of the quantum realm suits but other than that they had to wing it. -
Totally agree, it's a huge shame it wasn't used for the Wasp because it is absolutely perfect

Probably because if the teeth were tan it would blend with the rest of the mould too much

Future Marvel Superheroes Rumors & Speculation
legoSDR replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah I speculated this before i saw that we were definitely getting 2 AM&TW sets. Such a shame. The possibility of a 7th IW set is still there, but it's pretty much nonexistent at this point -
Does anyone else wish LEGO would release a T-Rex that has the Fallen Kingdom Dilo colour scheme?

But LEGO don't leave out set numbers. 76105 has to be filled with something, and if we're only getting one Ant-Man set then what else could ti be but Infinity War? -

So the Infinity War set numbers are the following: 76101, 76102, 76103, 76104, 76107, 76108. The UCS Hulkbuster is 76105. Ant-Man & the Wasp rumoured set is APPARENTLY 76109... 76106 is still available. Is this enough to assume that the rumoured 7th Infinity War set is definitely happening?

True but the rumoured set will be a spoiler set most likely. So is it too crazy to say that Wong will be in Wakanda? Maybe Strange asks him to stay behind and help protect the world while he's on Titan, but maybe the scenes with him are part of the key plot? That would explain why Wong is only seen in NYC in the trailers. Either that or he dies... That' true it is based on all of Marvel, but all of the figures on it appear in sets in those exact variants. Except for Bucky, Wong, War Machine, and Wasp. So it could be a little wink to us all that those figs are coming. The most likely outcome is that they'll be the designs for Marvel Superheroes Game DLCs, but I'm not ruling out physical set(s) just yet

Seeing pictures of her I'd say the bob is definitely wrong. But I don't think a ponytail is right either. The Jewel Thief hair is the closest but even that isn't quite right. But there's no LEGO mould that's exactly like her hair. She's got a kind of messy/long bob. A cross between the LEGO bob and medium length tousled hair (Loki in the Thor Ragnarok sets) would be perfect

Not that I know of. They're being released on April 16th so we'll probably start seeing them turn up around April 1st onwards
